Creatine Questions Help

2 questions about GNC creatine 189?

I answered another creatine question but let me see if I can help you here as well.

Question 1
The type of creatine associated with an increase in water is creatine monohydrate (this, however, has since been disproved). The creatine you're taking is creatine hydrochloride, so even if you needed to take extra water with creatine, you aren't consuming the right creatine. And no, do NOT consume a gallon of water within 2 hours. Your body needs water throughout the day, and by consuming too much water in a short period, you can actually kill yourself via something called "hyponutremia," where the excess water dilutes your blood and you DIE. A gallon of water is fine...but please drink it throughout the whole day!!

Question 2
Because you're taking a pill form of creatine, take the serving (in this case, 2 pills) during the same time every day...this includes workout days. If you ever switch to powdered creatine, ALWAYS consume that AFTER your workout...anyone who's tried to drink creatine before a workout knows that'll give you nothing but trouble!!

Question about creatine and protein shakes?

I use to take protein shakes, but i ended up gaining weight. So i heard of creatine(monohydrate) and started taking it. Now, do i need to take protein shakes with creatine or will the creatine supply me with enough protein i need. Or should i look for alternatives for protein. I know u gain water weight from taking creatine and drinking lots of water. I need to increase my bench and curl, and get more shape, without the bulge.

Creatine supplementation questions?

One really beneficial thing to learn about is your VO2-Max (I've provided a link below to calculate your VO2-Max). It has been proven in studies that maximal fat loss is achieved when you perform cardiovascular exercises at 50% of your VO2-Max. At 70%, you will experience 50% fat loss and 50% lean body mass loss. If you stay dedicated to your goals, there is no reason that you can't achieve them.

Personally, I just stopped lifting weights a little over a month ago after about 6 years of consistent training. I have been turned off by the mentality that goes into strength training (I don't use supplementation) in the weight room and it is just a personal view of mine. I currently am involved with a few programs that deal with a pull up bar and body weight exercises. A great thing to look up on YouTube is BarStarzz and Bar Brothers. These two "organizations" teach how to get great strength gains with little equipment (I have linked some of the videos I use). My results so far have been very satisfying. I have only gained muscle and feel much more agile than before. The only thing that you can't really replace in a weight room is the squat rack. Other than that, you can train all of your muscles without a gym membership.

Creatine question. How long before it starts working?

Since everyone is different, it is hard to say how long before u see an increase in performance. For the most part, you should notice some increase within a couple days (thats usually wat it is for me as well). Although, if u are using this and u are a long distance runner or something like that then u will not see ne difference because creatine is useless in those sports. If u r using it for weightlifting, sprinting, or some other form of exercise that only lasts for 8-10 seconds then u will see something. I am assuming u r using this for lifting, so i will say that creatine is made naturally in the body and it supplies the bodies energy (ATP). You will notice the effects; just pay attention during ur workout and u will notice that soon u will be able to do a few more reps with the same weight u were always using! and then soon the u will have to increase the weight because it becomes easier and the cycle keeps on going that way. It is only active for about 8-10 seconds in the body and if the exercise (like longer distance running) lasts longer then another system takes over (glycolytic system, uses glucose). When u drink it before lifting, the body will store it until it is needed, so there is no spike. Once u started lifting, it will come into use until the lift is over, then the body replenishes it within seconds after the lift is over. When u take it after lifting, the body will store it until it is needed again. It will only use creatine when it is needed, so it does not just float around in the body, it is stored within the muscle cells. A few pointers about creatine use: do not take more than recommended because once the muscle is saturated, the body will excrete it and u will piss it out (so youll be paying for expensive piss), do not continuously take creatine for months at a time, cycle off for the same amount of time you were on it (or a rule of thumb is about a month). for more info and/or questions just email me

good luck

How does creatine help build muscle?

I used to think creatine supplements were black magic.I’d pop one just before a workout, hit the gym and feel like I crushed it.Pushing heavy ass weight at such a high level of intensity made me feel superhuman.A long time ago, I thought to myself, “maybe it’s placebo.”Once I learned the science, it all began to click.I’m confident, it’ll click for you too.How Does Creatine Work?Whenever you lift heavy weights in low rep ranges, your body uses the Phosphagen Energy System. The Phosphagen Energy system is used for short term explosive exercises. What happens?Your muscles use ATP for energy.ATP is Adenosine TRI-Phosphate (3 phospate molecules)When you use energy lifting a heavy weight, a reaction takes place.ATP loses a phosphate molecule and becomes ADP .ADP is Adenosine DI-Phosphate(2 Phosphate Molecules)Here’s where creatine comes in:When you take a creatine supplement, you saturate your muscles with more Creatine Phosphate.Creatine Phosphate donates its phosphate molecule to ADP.ADP then becomes ATP again.(2 Phosphate ADP becomes→3 Phosphate ATP)Now that your muscles have ATP again, they can repeat the entire process. This gives you more available energy to lift heavy ass weight. What are the benifits of Creatine?Studies show:Increase in Lean Body MassIncrease in Strength PerformanceThe increase in lean body mass is partially due to water retention in the muscles and hypertrophy(muscle growth). The increase in strength performance is from you being able to lift heavy ass weight for more sets/reps. This allows you to progress faster. If you want to learn more, feel free to check out:The Only 3 Mass Building Supplements You’ll Ever Need. Creatine for Teen wrestler!!!! please help me?

in my med school the teacher said that all creatine does is increase your bodys ability to absorb water.so it does not actually make you stronger but it makes the muscles look bigger (just more water in them), you can get them for 10-20 at wal-mart and those places, you usually just mix the power with milk or something, i would suggest whey protein instead or both, its the same as far as you just mix it with milk and where to get it

Questions about body fortress super advanced creatine?

Now this is a supplement not a "super powder" lol. You first have to ask yourself how are you eating? are you eating clean, as well as enough quality whole foods? Are you training hard enough and properly?
These are the major drivers that need to be taken care of first:) Yes the product will work but without the previous two it is a waste of money. Now, if you do everything correctly, you can start to see results within 3 weeks! Stay focused, be disciplined and work hard and you will do great!! Good luck man

Would creatine help with Marfan's Syndrome?

I will be honest, and tell you I don't know much about creatine.
I also have Marfan's and I can tell you it is a life long battle. Is your pain muscle spasms? If so I suggest you talk to your doctor about perscribing a muscle relaxer. My pain has gotten to the point where I use the Fentanyl pain patch and even that only half works. I also take Norco to help relieve the pain. Have you tried glucosamine? That helps a lot of people (and even helps my aging cats) It did help me for quite some time, but then I developed a problem with Dural Ectasia in my back. Hopefully that is something you will never have to deal with.
