Crying In My Sleep What Does It Mean

Crying in my sleep? What does it mean?

Sometimes the brain can't tell a dream from reality. Scientifically speaking. It could be some sort of "release" type dream where you need to actually cry to help yourself out in a situation that you are dealing with now. Ya know?

Tears are cleansing to the soul. I have awakened to catch myself crying in dreams. Usually, the dream is something I am actually worried that will happen in my real awake life. I don't know what your dream was about so I can't really tell you what I think it all means. But, my grandmother (a full blood native american) would always say, "A bad dream means something good is about to happen." I really don't know. But I think it's natural to wake up with whatever emotion you were feeling in the dream. I hope this helps

What does it mean when you cry in your sleep?

To dream that you are crying indicates a release of depressing feelings that may be closely linked to actual happenings in your waking life rather than scenes from the dream itself. Your dream may be a means to restore some emotional stability whilst providing an appropriate outlet for your fears and frustrations. As people go through their everyday lives, they tend to push back, ignore, disallow, or repress their true emotions. It is only through their dreams that they are able to unmask their persona and truly express their feelings.

What does crying yourself to sleep mean?

Crying yourself to sleep could be a number of things. If it happens just once in awhile it's probably like the other responders suggested: a response to some emotional stress. If it happens more regularly it could be a symptom of clinical depression. If you do have it happen more often, take a look at the website below. If it suggests it, you should talk to a doctor or, preferably, a psychiatrist or other mental health professional. None of us can reliably diagnose without seeing you.

What does it mean when I wake up crying?

When you wake up crying, it simply means that your soul is still alive. Functional lacrimal glands is a good sign that still your soul is alive and it can be touched.Possible reasons behind crying as soon as u wake up can be:A sad dream (you may not even remember)Something buried deep inside at sub conscious level of your mind might have been affected or influenced by some dream (Again you may not even remember slightest of that dream)It may be due to some bad experiences in the past which is buried in your heart & you have not released it. So finally you are at ease.( your tears are pearls when released and just a tear film when conserved). It might be also due to a healing process going inside your soul due to something bad in past that has choked your tears & now you are free to release all that pressure. You have made a habit of taking sad things in your life so normally that it is all there at the sub conscious level of mind & at the conscious level, you are alright, so this is just like denying the fact, working like a transdermal patch which works on the surface healing it but deeper wounds remain & it hurts. So it have to break the shackles one day and flow freely.Image source: Google.

What does 'cry myself to sleep' idiom mean?

My husband's Best friend accidentally walked in ( I was breast feeding my son in our living room) and he saw my breast. He's known as a huge pervert an will look at anyone's boobs. He made a comment ' I'm gonna cry myself to sleep now' and I took it as rude comment about my breast. Was he being rude or perverted? They're not bad looking (ppl say I have a 'nice boobs') but everyone else is saying that what he meant was that he can't have them or something like that. And I thought he meant like he went blind. What do you think?

Does crying before you sleep affect your dreams?

I tend to sleep deeper WITHOUT dreaming if I cry before sleeping. I agree with the previous response.

Is it normal to cry in your sleep, could it mean something?

To dream that you are crying, signifies a release of negative emotions that is more likely caused by some waking situation rather than the events of the dream itself. Your dream is a way to regain some emotional balance and to safely let out your fears and frustrations. In your daily lives, you tend to ignore, deny, or repress your feelings. But in your dream state, your defense mechanisms are no longer on guard and thus allow for the release of those feelings that you have repressed during the day.

To see someone else crying in your dream, may be a projection of your own feelings onto someone else. If you do not cry in your waking life, then seeing someone else cry may be a little easier to deal with then seeing yourself cry.

To wake up crying, represents some suppressed hurt or previous trauma that is coming up to the surface. You can no longer suppress these emotions. They need to be dealt with head on.

To dream that no one hears or responds to your cries, represents your helplessness, difficulties and frustrations in trying to communicate with others. You feel that your words are falling on deaf ears. Perhaps your dream is telling you to be more vocal and work harder to get your point across.
