Which show is better, Criminal Minds or Law and Order?
Law & Order hands down.Much more realistic, more intelligent and WAY better acted.(Especially the ones lead by Vincent D’Onofrio)The things that happen in Law & Order are way more plausible, and the criminals/crimes in are much more realistic than the caricaturesque serial Killers on Criminal Minds.The criminal Spectrum which Law & Order covers is much ampler. They investigate almost any kind of crime there is.CM focuses exclusively on Serial Killers.“Criminal Minds”’ is unrealistic, borderline ludicrous.First of all, Profilers (if such a thing exists, which I seriously doubt) shouldn’t be also the Leading CAPTURE squad.Hackers like the Penelope Garcia doesn’t exist. Not even the most competent hacker in the world can do a tenth of what’s done in that show, computer-wise. She is annoying and absolutely implausible. Besides, she’s a complete fairy tale, both in performance and looks.Then there is the African American super-cop ( Shemar Moore) who is a cross between Columbo and Rambo. I find him unreal and ludicrous.The skinny genius is also ludicrous, implausible and unnecessary.In CM there is no clear chain of command or hierarchy.And the part in which they take turns to talk about the “unsub” is laughable.Albeit L&O is not perfect, Criminal Minds is not even in the same league.Criminal Minds gets boring very quickly.

Both have run their course if you ask me. If you're gonna force me to watch, SVU. (Not all redheads are as cool as me, and he is not nearly as much as he thinks he is!)
CSI or Law and Order: SVU?
CSI is overrated. It has gone down the tube...and it's stuck there. I have loved Law & Order: SVU since I started watching it. Never disappoints me. :) Wonderful storylines and drama. It's hard to watch sometimes but that's the thing that makes a show better than the rest.

ncis is the one i find myself consistently watching more than csi miami in second place, with criminal intent probably in third.
How do watching crime shows like Law and Order impact your ability to serve on a jury?
I wouldn’t know because I mark the mail I get emblazoned with the big symbol of the Unified Court System, REFUSED, and R.T.S. And no one from the dysfunctional Third Branch has come and gotten me yet. Forget about my criminal record. My pre-disposition disqualifies me right off the bat. But it hasn’t stopped them from trying. (Funny you should ask because I just got one today: Notice of Delinquency, New York County, State of New York, #708915538. The New York Times once noted that if prospective jurors do not respond, there is not much anybody can do about it. Who am I to question the reliable sources relied upon by a distinguished “paper of record.”?)
What is the difference between CSI: Las Vegas and Law and Order: SVU?
CSI Las Vegas focuses on collecting evidence and analyzing it. They go into detail about autopsies and profiling the perpetrator. Law and Order SVU focuses on crimes committed that are of a sexual nature. They go to the crime scene to get evidence, but then they go out into the community to actualy catch the doer. CSI spends a lot of time in the lab, while SVU spends more time in the field investigating and interviewing people. SVU also goes into prosecuting the cases in conjunction with the district attorney. You seldom see the conviction end of the case on CSI. They're both wonderful shows. They do a terrific job of knowing the actual facts. I'm a nurse and have marvelled at the accuracy of a lot of the cases. Good luck with your school work.
