Girls, how often do you wear dresses or skirts?

I wouldn't pay attention to how often the girls around you wear them. If you want to wear a skirt or dress one day, go for it!
But I do understand how it's like we see them in the stores and in catalogs and online and love them and want to wear them, but even if we buy a few, they end up in the back of our closet. I do the same thing for some reason! I think that's more because it takes a little extra effort to wear a skirt or dress, and it may not be as comfortable as the every day pants we're used to wearing.
When I'd work at the office, and I'd decide to wear a skirt, I'd get more attention because of it, but I would somehow feel more feminine and wonder if (especially when my skirt was more flowy) that made me less professional/powerful, if you know what I'm trying to explain. I even had an exec comment asking if I had a hot date after work or something. I tried to ignore it though.
But hey -- in your town, at least it sounds like you have fashion sense and you can be a role model for others to hopefully learn from :)

I'm looking for some cute, modest skirts. Any help?

Charlotte Russe has some pretty cute stuff. Most of it is around knee-length and it's not bright/wild/crazy. It's respectable, classy and nice :)

I like women or girls in skirts or dresses. Is that common?

Pfft… It's a good thing for me that it IS common or I'd have probably never had a single date!Okay, maybe that's an overstatement but not by much. I'm not saying that I am beautiful and I DO wear jeans, pants, shorts and the like pretty often. However, I really prefer the look, feel and ease of wearing dresses or skirts. Many of the women I know do not share this opinion, but hey… viva la difference! And beauty is subjective; what I think is beautiful, you might not. Chances are good that whatever girl you're crazy about will be beautiful in your eyes… whether her beauty comes from within, the surface or some combination of the two. Most people have a "type" anyway; some women (and men) adore men in snug jeans and cowboy hats, while others (me included) go bananas over a handsome man in a well-fitted suit. And don't get me started about a man in uniform! ;) The same thing goes for women… hair length, color, height, body type… whatever… almost everyone has a type that he or she is drawn to.Just a few things things could be problems:You cannot be attracted to a girl UNLESS she's in a dress. If you love someone, you love her. Pants, dress, whatever… you love the person within. You demand that your girlfriend/ wife / whatever ALWAYS wear a dress. Being controlling is always a bad thing. You're a grown man who's attracted to children. Girls… boys…Dresses or no… that's bad. If that's the case, stop reading and get mental help immediately!Otherwise, I think you're probably just fine.Just don't underestimate a girl just because she's in a pretty dress! She may LOOK like a helpless dainty flower, yet be able to calculate huge equations in her head, bench press a lot of weight or repair a leaking roof! You can't judge a book by its cover.Good luck!A2A

How many women prefer wearing skirts or dresses instead of pants?

Nine hundred and ninety-nine times out of thousand, I will wear pants. While they’re a bit harder to find a fitting example of initially and a bit more annoying to wash by hand (not relevant if you use a washing machine), at all other times the comfort and practicality of pants beats skirts and dresses by a distance so long I’ve since forgotten when exactly I passed them.I like having pockets I can fit my cell phone, cards and keys in, and not worry about an extra bag I can accidentally leave behind and have to devote hands or shoulders to.I like being able to not worry about wind or climbing over a railing. Or my lower-half garment snagging in my bike’s chain (yikes!), or being slammed between a car door, or getting caught in my chair’s arm rest, or...I like being able to take long steps and sit all unladylike (especially at home). I’ve felt almost shackled wearing skirts or dresses before…They’re also warmer during winter and can be shorter during summer without added risk of wardrobe malfunction.I’m quite happy with the shape of my legs, too, so I don’t feel I should hide them. How many women prefer wearing skirts or dresses instead to pants? I wouldn’t know, but here’s a counter-example. I, for one, don’t believe I’m “less feminine” for it.

Where is a good place to find a cute, Korean style pleated skirt?

Boden has a few usually—in girls sizes and women’s under keyword kilt.School uniform companies really have them as well—only nowadays are all made of a scratchy utilitarian polyester. But if you are serious — and after you’ve exhausted Ebay …consider having yours made. Or perhaps three? If you cannot find a seamstress locally try ETSY—And if you ever want the real thing in wool tartan a few companies in Scotland have them with measurement and cut infinitesimally bespoke.Pleats are tricky to set up and sew accurately…but it is also fun. You could save hundreds by learning to construct skirts.
