Dba Certification For A B.com Graduate

Eligibility for Oracle Certification..?

As such no eligibility required to do oracle certification..you can go for in 12th std.I guess you don't get much time to study for oracle certifications...i have found one portal which provide online learning for oracle certifications, very helpful and interesting courseware with brainbench exams..

What are the relevant certification which an Oracle Apps DBA Graduate hire must do?

For Apps DBA there are two essential certifications:Oracle E-Business Suite R12 Applications Database Administrator Certified Professional (OCP)Oracle E-Business Suite R12 System Administrator Certified Expert (OCE)The OCP certifies that you are capable of doing EBS maintenance such as patching, adutils, understand the applications architecture, directory structure etc.The OCE is more oriented on working within Sysadmin forms, understanding the security hierarchies, setting up responsibilities etc.I think there used to be one for 11i about Workflow Administration, but I do not see it in R12 certifications, maybe it's now merged with the Sysadmin OCE, you may want to review details of each of the above. As a DBA you don't want to dive into product specifics and you can ignore any functional certifications (OM,AP,AR,SCM),  you will have enough on your plate already.Good luck!

If I'm already a B.com graduate, what can I do to make a career in information technology?

If you have already chosen an IT stream go for it. If not, then if you have anyone working in an IT domain, where you can receive some guidance go for that stream.I will suggest chose a support role. Could be DBA, Networking, or Sys-admin. I will recommend DBA or Sys-admin.DBA because you have basic accounts knowledge, might prove to be helpful in banks and financial institutions. Also, as a DBA, table schemas and columns will make more sense to you.Next option is Sys-Admin. Because, as a system administrator you will have to gain knowledge of computers. Which will lay your foundation in IT industry. Later you can move to other roles as well.Once you have chosen the stream. Make sure you get certification in that field ASAP. If need be join some course. Here are few more things you should do. Just don't wait for the course to complete, these things you should do from day one:As already mentioned get a certification.Prepare an interview question related to your stream everyday.Read one technical blog/article related to your stream everyday.Try to entry level job in an IT company. Even non-technical one will do, because it will give you a good amount of exposure on how IT works.Side by side join a correspondence MCA course. That will also help you build fundamentals, crack interviews and your future growth in industry.Hope it helps. Thanks for A2A. Wish you the best.

Upon graduation from college, Susana Lopez signed an agreement to buy a used car. Her annual payments, which are due at the end of each year for two years, are $1,480. The car dealer used a 12% rate compounded annually to determine the amount of the payments.

What should Susana consider the value of the car to be? (Round to two decimal places). Provided here are some time value of money factors.
The present value of an annuity factor for n=8, i=3% is 7.020
The present value of an annuity factor for n=2, i=12% is 1.690

If she had wanted to make quarterly payments, what would her payments have been based on the value of the car as determined in (1)?

Can I do Oracle DBA after completion of MBA Finance?

You can do anything but you SHOULD NOT do this. MBA in finance can have a wide scope in different industries. Why do you want to go out of track and come to a crowd where too many people belong, I.e., IT.Banks, financial institutions, product and service companies, industries, small and large organizations, stores, startups all need a finance consultant. Concentrate on those. As a last option, if nothing works out or your interest pulls you to IT, become a finance functional consultant for any ERP you would like to learn - ORACLE, SAP, Workday are more prevalent.
