Dell inspiron duo windows 8

Dell Inspiron Duo vs. MacBook Pro?

the Mac and the Dell aren't really in the same book compared to power and use. But, since you mentioned you always get viruses on your old computer, I recommend the Mac because they are less virus prone. As for longevity, right now I am using a 7 year old iBook G4, that still runs like it did when is was new. The same can't be said for the Dell Latitude laptop that I have that is running off a flashdrive because the harddrive died, and slowly faded in performance over the years. Truthfully if you insist on a PC I would recommend either a Dell or Asus, other than that, get a Mac.

Dell inspiron duo 1090 screen doesn't rotate!!?

Hi Alexander,

Dell has not tested this system with Windows 8 and compatible drivers for Inspiron Duo are not available on our website. However, you can try to install the Windows 7 compatible Accelerometer drivers in compatibility mode in Windows 8.

You may download the drivers from the link below and save them on the desktop:

http://dell.to/Swjw4i

Then right click on the save file and click on Properties. Go to the 'Compatibility' tab and check the 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:' option and select Windows 7 from the drop down menu. Click on OK. Then try to install the file by double clicking it.

The list of Dell systems compatible with Windows 8 is available on the link below:

Hope this helps.

Multitouch driver for Dell Inspiron mini 10v (Duo) running windows 8?

I have windows 8 on my Dell and it has a wonderful touch screen. The only problem i seem to have is that the driver that is currently installed only supports two fingers at a time. Now i know that there is a driver that can be installed that will increase the ability to use more than two fingers at a time. For any one wondering, My computer came with windows 7 and i recently updated to windows 8 pro. anyone have an idea where I might find a driver that supports this? I've already checked Dell and haven't found anything. If you find something will you leave a link for me? Thanks to everyone, Have a great day... well for what you can.

What's the best Windows for a Dell 64-bit Core 2 Duo?

It depends on how much RAM you have AND on motherboard chipset. Most used Core 2 Duo chipsets had a max of 4 GB, but latest and newest supported up to 8 or 16 GB.To put it in RAM amounts, 2GB or less, Windows XP. 2 to 4, Windows 10 32 bit. More than 4, Windows 10 64 bit.Do not bother with Vista, 7 or 8. IMO, Vista and 8 are crap; while 7 is a decent OS, in my experience is a bit more heavy on the resources than 10.If you don’t know the chipset of the motherboard, there is a handy little app called CPU-Z which gives all the info you need on CPU, motherboard and RAM. Run it, find out which chipset is used by your Dell (you did not mentioned if it is a desktop or laptop); it shows the size of installed RAM, and knowing the chipset is knowing the max RAM size supported. I still have a Core 2 Duo system around, as my 2nd backup PC; a Core 2 Duo E8200@2.67 GHz, Gigabyte Intel G31 motherboard; the G31 chipset is one of the most common for socket 775, and it has 4 GB RAM limit; I put 2x2 GB DDR2 modules, and multi-boot Windows XP, 10 32 bit and various versions of Linux and other less known OSs on it.

Will Call of Duty: Ghosts work on Dell Inspiron 5567 laptop with 8 GB RAM and 4 GB graphics?

Poorly worded question, but I searched up your laptop and is this the graphics card it has: AMD Radeon R7 M445Hopefully it is, but if that’s so then yes, you can run COD: GhostsHere are the recommended specs:OS: Windows 7 64-Bit / Windows 8 64-BitCPU: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo E8200 2.66 GHZ / AMD Phenom™ X3 8750 2.4 GHZ or betterMemory: 6 GB RAMHard Disk Space: 40 GBVideo: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTS 450 / ATI® Radeon™ HD 5870 or betterSound: DirectX compatible sound cardDirectX®: DirectX® 11Internet: Broadband Internet connection for Steam and Online MultiplayerThis is also a great explanation as to how your PC runs COD: GhostsNext time asking a question like this, I suggest searching up the minimum requirements for the game then comparing your PC, how search up “can i run it call of duty: ghosts” on the web.Good luck!

Can I run Windows 10 on 2GB RAM, a Core 2 Duo (E8600) 3.33Ghz, and 6Mb cache?

Hi There,Core 2 Duo E8600 Processor can run Windows 10 smoothly. The older version of Core 2 Duo might not able to run smoothly. The main issue is that the Microsoft does not tell you actual requirement for Windows 8 or 10.You need at least 2GB of RAM for 32bit version of Windows 10 or Windows 8.1.You need at least 4Gb of RAM for 64bit to run Windows 10 or Windows 8.1.Make sure that you have new and latest motherboard drivers or Drivers specially made for Windows 10 installed.Make sure to wipe your Hard Disk completely for Windows 10 or 8.1 or else you will face lags and hangs.Your “C” partition should have at least 40GB free space after installation.Use “ccleaner” to wipe of unwanted cache and other files.Your PC should have at least or minimum 777MB of onboard graphics.Even my Dual Core pc is running Windows 10 smoothly because it has all Windows 10 drivers + the mentioned requirements.Regards,kksilvery.

Best upgrade for my dell inspiron 1525 laptop for gaming?

Well with out knowing what kind of video card you have in ther its not going to ever be a gaming rig.

Out of what you've wrote down though your obvious upgrades need to be RAM and CPU.

I would run 4GB or ram in the system, you cant actually use it all due to your 32bit system but you'll get between 3.2 and 3.6 according to what your system is currently using. But you will get extra and ram is cheap. Plus if you run 2x2gb modules you'll get the nice dual operation which will give you about 4-7 precent better memory preformance

I would also run a t8300 or higher CPU. The t8300 and the t9300 are about the best bang for the buck in mobile CPU's right now and if you have a ton of cash you can get the x9000, but its twice the cost of the t9300 and only give you a slight boost in preformance unless you overclock

If you have a second HD slot i would also suggest a larger and faster hard drive. a 200gb or 320gb 7200rpm drive rocks, but if you only have a single drive than you would have to reinstall vista (but its not a hard process...just make sure to get your drivers)

Other than that its really limited to your video card. All of these upgrades wont do you any good if you have some intergrated dell graphics card, and unfortunatly by large laptop cards are un-upgradable.
