Why did the Tamil Nadu government give fake announcement, all rivers, canals, ponds, tanks, check dams were renovated in the Tanjore delta region which can store water for paddy cultivation and agriculture?

The current government sponsored by Amitshah and Modi is doing only minting money from left ,tight ,top, bottom.and everywhere as they knew there won't be any future for them once election is announced. As such they are corrupting almost 75 paise from Rs 1 spent by the government. That is the reason such things are happening in Tamil Nadu.

Why could Tamil Nadu not survive without Cauvery River’s water? How can we solve the problems of the farmers who cultivate fields for crops?

The delta regions of Tamilnadu especially Tanjore has only Cauvery as the major source of water, we don’t have Godavari or Krishna like what we can see with the upper riperian state of Karnataka. The apex court has cited ground water in Tamilnadu and reduced some 14TMC Cauvery water from its share. Even it had said that drinking water is the priority and cited water scarcity in Bangaluru as a reason for it. TN appreciates that and we never argued about that. The only thing what TN needs is to implement what the Supreme Court said by an authority we don’t care whether u name that authority as a board or scheme.Inorder to solve the problems of farmers who cultivate crops in those delta region, we will have to use water conservation methods like building check dams so that water can be stored during rainy season, imparting drip irrigation because what this delta region farmers are practising is flat surface irrigation where the evaporation will be high. We will have to use technology like checking the moisture content in the soil before irrigating the field because this delta region soils are loamy black soil which has the capability to withold high moisture content for a longer time. Just by having a view on the surface, if you are irrigating the field then again those water will be evaporated.

Why is Tanjore in Tamil Nadu called the delta district?

Tanjore district encompasses the entire cauvery delta. For administrative reasons the erstwhile Thanjavur district was divided into three districts Viz. Thanjavur, Thiruvarur and Nagapattinam districts. In Tamil Nadu, farmers have lost an entire crop season to the Cauvery row

Why the Tamil month of Aadi is avoided to start any new construction?

Tamils follow the solar calendar. The month of Aadi, is the fourth in the year and named after the star of the full moon in that month, which is either Poorvaashadha or Uttaraashaadha (Pooraadam and Uttiraadam), as the kunar calendar is named as "Aashaadha".

The month is the commencement of the DakshiNaayana, in which sages have not advised any auspicious ceremonies. Apastamba says: Udag ayana poorva pakshaaha puNyaaheshu kaaryaaNi" in Grihya Sutra. Reasons are not specified by him or even Bodhaayana.

As for commencement of house construction or house-warming different set of rules are laid down. Aadi is NOT prohibited. The mythical Vaastu Purusha, is said to be in slumber and awakens eight times in a year. The months of Aani, Purattasi, Margazhi, and Panguni do not have any timings of awakening. Vaastu Purusha is said to control structural accommodations. It is considered auspicious to commence construction at the last 36 minutes out of a total period of 90 minutes' wakefuness, subject to day, star, tithi, yoga, karana and lagna (chara lagna for construction and sthira lagna for house-warming), being auspicious.

An extension of this concept has been done for the whole of the month, in which such awakening occurs.

It is Aani that is not considered good for house construction and not Aadi. There is a popular saying "Aani maathaththil kooniyum kudi pukaaL".

Kaveri river is an east flowing river and does it form a delta or an estuary?

The upper riparian state of Kaveri is Karnataka and the lower one is Tamil Nadu . The Tamil Nadu coast is emergent type i.e. upliftment of part of the continent shelf produces a smooth gently sloping coastal lowland . Off shore waters are shallow with lagoons salt marshes and mud flats. Due to the gently sloping of the continental shelf the stream comes into deposition mode , placing the coarser particles first such as stones boulders and big pebbles . This often creates hindrance in the flow and the river changes its course thereby forming a delta . The mouth of the river has very fine particles often called shingles.
