Did Everyone Hear The News About One Of My Idols

Does anyone here see Margaret Sanger as an idol?

I just saw the movie ‘Choices of the Heart: The Margaret Sanger Story’ and I was shocked to see her portrayed as ‘heroic and passionate’ and those who opposed her described as ‘zealots’ (reading from the back of the DVD box). Not just because I’m pro-life, but because this is a woman who openly stated that she was a speaker at KKK meetings, and who saw birth control as "leading ultimately to a cleaner race."

Has anyone else seen it? What did you think? Is Margaret Sanger a hero to some pro-choicers and feminists? Is she a good role model for young women? Are the contributions people make to society more important than the reasons why they made them?

Whenever you hear a person died, do you get the chills?

Yeah... Although I may not feel sad a lot for them, I always get goosebumps! If I read, watch, or hear something about a dead person, I get goosebumps! It gets annoying but freaks me out!

Why does everyone think im stuck up and conceited cause i said this??

see im a nice rich prep thats totally awsome but not concetied or stuck up. i play lots of sports and always donate money to charities cause im nice.i also love paris hilton shes my idol and for all those people that say they hate her theyere just jealous cause they want to be like her.even though i dont have to work i still do some stuff.i actually have a life unlike sompeople and i have a bf and i love to partie and have fun but what ever

I am the only one who didn’t like Idol (BTS’ new song)?

Hold up! Personally, I didn't really like Idol for a reason that I'm don't know of. Whether it be the beat to it or the set, I didn't really like it, BUT I didn't hate it either. I'm just guessing that the previous MVs were more slow-beated (sorry, is that a word?).The song that I DID enjoy from the Love Yourself結: Answer album is actually I'm Fine. But hey, Big Hit Entertainment probably chose Idol for the MV for a reason that we don't know of, right? At the end of the day, I'm sure that you're not the only one that thinks that this isn't their best MV, so be consoled. However, I also hope that you see how hardworking our boys are to produce good music and will support them to the end. My work is done here, hope this helps.

How does the Korean age work because I hear KPOP idols say they are 19 but they should be 18 in America?

To find your Korean age, subtract the year you were born from the current year and then add one.Ex. 2019 - 2006 + 1 = 14, whereas the American age would be 13Ex. 2019 - 1988 + 1 = 32, whereas the American age would be 31There is an exception to this general rule, and that is when you are considered two years older in Korea. If your birthday is after January 1st, you may be two years older.Ex. Birthday is February 3rd, 2000 : Korean age is 21, and American age is 19You are not yet 19, but because of the system, one year was added at birth and one year was added at the new year (January 1st), PLUS you are turning one year older on February 3rd, so you would be 21 instead of 19.I hope you found this helpful; I know it can be confusing at first.

How do I deal with working with my idol, someone who inspired me to be who I am today (having a life-long crush on them doesn't help either)?

We all get fanatic brain. I know because I went to an acting school filled with celebrities. I got to sit in with the cast of Once Upon a Time and get told by Lee Arenberg that if we saw him walking out of an audition that we are waiting to get in to know that he “just kicked our ass!” That's the attitude to have. Tough as nails. But he's actually a nice guy.I had to restrain someone to chill out because she was so nervous to talk to the cast. I told her that they're human just like all of us. I bet they may be just as nervous and self-conscious just as much as you are. I told her to breathe and relax. I told her to be herself because her true self is happy and fun.She rocked it. She was tasked to greet and then hand out gifts to the cast. She ended up being close friends with one of the cast members who ended up landing a lead role in another show. This friend of mine now hangs out with this person. Why? Because she was being herself. You know what else? She's learning so much about acting and the business, for free! Plus, she has a star that can get her in the door. Why am I not nervous? I live in Vancouver where seeing a celebrity is normal. I've run into Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Method Man, Redman, John Goodman, Justin Timberlake (actually he ran into me, long story), Meg Ryan, the Wayan Brothers, Michael Rosenbaum, Kristen Kreuk, and others. I have family that are semi-celebrities. So, it's not anything new to me.One of my mentors was well known for her role in Mean Girls. She is the most down to earth, humble, caring and selfless teacher I've ever known.I know some famous voice actors. Iron Man, My Little Pony, and some famous anime English dubs just to name a few titles. One of them was in Horns and in The Man in the High Castle. You know what's the underlying connection with all these people? They're people. They're human. They have experience and insights to share. A lot just about gave up and quit but they stuck with it. Why? How? Where do they find that motivation to keep going? They're now your source.Surround yourself with these people and you will realize that they're just like you and me. And being just like you and me, ask them how their day went.

What are your thoughts on BTS’ new song “IDOL”?

I’ve reacted to the song a while back and…I am highly disappointed in BTS at the moment. First, their fans were saying on social media that it was ‘’so deep’’ but when I read the lyrics they were pretty basic. Here is an example:They point fingers at meBut I don’t care at allWhatever the reason for your criticism isI know what I am (I know what I am)I know what I want (I know what I want)I never gon’ change (I never gon' change)I never gon’ trade(Trade off)Now don’t get me wrong, the message itself is quite deep but its lyrical content is pretty basic (like most kpop songs, to be honest.) The music itself was a mess! Unlike the lyrics, the music has no forgivable aspect to it. It didn’t sound much like music to me, just noise. If I had to choose one song to compare it to I’d compare it to EXO’s wolf aka EXO’s worst song and I don’t believe anyone who says they listen to that song unironically. Both wolf and IDOL have one thing in common and that is how disorderly they both sound. Both songs are random (not in a good way.) and it sounds like they don’t really know what they are doing with the instrumental. Listen to both songs and I think you’ll agree with me. Overall, the music is ..far from good. And don’t get me started on the amount of autotune! A bit of autotune is not a problem if used tastefully or for a desired effect/style but they went overboard with this one.I know some ARMYs are gonna get mad at me for saying this about IDOL. If you like the song good for you but let us not act like it’s a masterpiece. BTS have way better songs than IDOL and you know that. The only reason why IDOL has good reviews among ARMYs is that they (And many other fandoms) feel the need to suck BTS’ toes and refuse to think for themselves or form their own opinions. In a sense, they can’t because some hardcore ARMY will come against them and say they are fake for not liking everything BTS does. This is what I don’t like about fans in general. They think like chickens. One runs the others runs also without even thinking about their choice. It’s okay to form your own opinions about a song! It’s okay for you to not like a song your favourite group made! That doesn't mean you are a fake fan! That just means you are smart!

What benefits, if any, did you get after going viral in a fake news story?

As terrible as it was to go viral for being “old and ugly” in a fake news story, there were indeed some benefits. The biggest benefit was hearing from people I hadn’t seen in years who had read about it in the news or heard it on the radio. I reconnected with ex boyfriends, teachers, classmates. I had lunch with people I thought I would never see again. It was almost like finding out who would go to my funeral. The outpouring of support was brief, but it was massive.Shirley Manson from Garbage dropped by my twitter. She believed the fake news story, but it was amazing to hear from her. She is one of my idols.A few people checked out my music, although my session singing career took a hit.It gave me an opportunity to reflect on my self image and patterns I had engaged in since childhood. I was bullied rather badly, so I feel that I sub consciously made decisions to repeat the experience. I’m still sorting through this. People who experience bullying in childhood sometimes have a tendency to ignore red flags later in life. This is a topic I hope to get deeper into once I have a better understanding of it.I wrote a book! I might expand it to a musical.Being in a fake news story has given me an opportunity to talk about fake news, how it happens and why it happens. It’s given me an opportunity to speak about the treatment of women in the media and why it needs to change to reflect the current times. In the big picture there could be an opportunity to create positive change. That is exciting. While the media coverage of the lawsuit I was named in was pretty bogus, I was glad that it exposed the lawsuit itself. I didn’t think it was reasonable that I would fight a $10,000,000 lawsuit in silence. It changed the power dynamic in the case. The attorney who sued me wanted to drop it the second I went public (which is why I went public).I believe positive things can come out of the worst circumstances. Thank you for your question.
