Did I Experience A High On Vyvanse

Anyone who's been switch to Vyvanse. Experiences?

...(continued) So since I was labeled as a "substance abuser," (though I take Klonopin daily, an abusable substance, that I've NEVER tried to abuse because it holds no interest for me, and I need it for panic and anxiety).... Anyway, since I was labeled that, she put me on the "newest and best ADHD medicine," Vyvanse. (OH I FORGOT TO ADD - I've been on Strattera since I was diagnosed over six years ago and it stopped working gradually over the past year and a half)....
I was given 50mg and 70mg caps to try seperately. Both make me feel like complete **** by themselves, and actually make my symptoms worse. So the, the next 'abuse.' I wasn't going to tolerate the shittiness, so took to 50mgs - still bad. two 70mgs - works, not close to Adderall, but tolerable. Except the come down was WAY worse than Adderall.
Taking too low of a dose of this stuff seems to make me even crave more - which I don't like, as the Doc seems to think I AM a Amph addict. I may just have a natural tolerance....

Vyvanse high (80 mg)?

Ok so I bought 2 40mg vyvanse pills tonight and I've never done any amphetamines but I have done other uppers like cocaine and crack but anyways I'm planning on parachuting both pills tomorrow but that sorta seems like a bad idea (aside from drugs being bad in general) but anyways about how long should that high last? And is that too much for my first time, because I've already gotten busted with other things and i dont need to get busted again also on coke i'm able to act normal but idk about this. Thank you and please don't answer this question if you're just going to tell me I'm a loser or drugs are bad or anything along those lines!

Is my Vyvanse dosage too high?

I just had my vyvanse dosage increased from 30mg to 50mg because I was still getting distracted a lot.

After going on 50mg I've been incredibly focused on everything I do and I mean super focused. I shoot photography as a hobby and I edit the photos after I do a photoshoot. If there's one thing I've always hated about photography, it's photo editing. I would procrastinate for weeks to months before I get on editing photos. Married couples and parents would nag at me to hurry up and send them the photos. Well for the past three days that I've been on Vyvanse 50mg, I've been addicted to editing photos and learning how to perfect them from the moment I wake up until I sleep. I've never gotten this good at photo editing in 4 years that I've done photography. I know more now in 3 days than I did in 4 years and I'm loving it. It's like crack (the photo editing; not vyvanse.)

I'm a binge drinker and I'll have an occasional beer when I was on Vyvanse 30mg. I also still smoked a pack a day on 30mg. Now that I'm on 50mg I can't even imagine myself wasting time drinking alcohol and I have forgotten that I have a cigarette addiction. Every time I said I was going to have a cigarette in my mind I procrastinated it by working more. I had to snap myself out of working on my photo editing today to myself to have a cigarette so I could take a break and rest.

The bad part about all this is I haven't showered in three days and I sometimes forget to eat. I also have not been out of the house in three days. I don't have a real job or go to school right now. But I really hope to become a professional photographer since I'm seeing details that I've never seen before now. I just shot a super beautiful fitness model who requested to model for me for free.

So yeah, I think I'm a ilttle too over focused right now and may need to go back 30mg even though it was still causing me a ton of distraction.

Is it possible to get high off Vyvanse?

Vivanse is a prodrug for amphetamine that requires first pass metabolism to become active so it is immune to any route of administration other than oral. Because of this, it is impossible for anyone to abuse it specifically to get a "rush", but there are undoubtedly some people who get a mild high or significant enjoyment from the oral effects. Vivanse definitely does have a lower abuse potential than adderal, dexedrine, or desoxyn, however.

Does snorting Vyvanse get you high?

No. In short, you simply cannot get high by snorting, injecting (IM or IV) or plugging Vyvanse of any kind. I have a friend who tried to mix the powder with water and intravenously inject Vyvanse 40mg - it had no euphoric effect, rush, or high at all. It did however cause the negative side effects of such drugs (ie. anxiety, jitteriness). If putting it directly into your bloodstream doesn’t work, neither will insufflating it in order to absorb it into the blood vessels in your nose.Explanation in my own words: This is because Vyvanse is specifically designed to prevent people from abusing it. The therapeutic effect of the compound that makes up Vyvanse (known as a pro-drug) is inactive unless it is eaten and even after being eaten it can take 1–2 hours to have stimulant effects. It must be broken down by the body (and the liver specifically) in order to turn it from lisdexamphetamine (contracted from L-lysine-dextroamphetamine) by cleaving off the attached amino acid, L-lysine, producing the active metabolite dextroamphetamine. It has to be eaten.I will say however, if eaten in high doses (amounts will vary for each person-always be safe and start small) it can provide a very long, enjoyably smooth ride. Peak is about 2–3 hours in and lasts around 10–12 hours. Regarding dosage via oral consumption, I have recreationally tried anywhere from 900mg (15x60mg pills) to 240mg (4x60mg pills) both on an empty stomach. I found the perfect dose (for me who has a tolerance of 60mg everyday to start with) to be around 360mg-420mg on an empty stomach. I would never recommend more than that because I’ve found that the high peaks at around that dose. My thoughts on the reason for this is that the body only produces so much Trypsin (which I’ve read is the main thing that converts Vyvanse into D-amp, at least it’s whats used when ordinary people turn home-chemists and chemically extract the active stimulant from the L-lysine themselves in order to experience instantaneous effects) at a time therefore after a certain amount of Vyvanse, your body will stop being able to convert it and will then only slowly convert it as you produce more Trypsin each hour. Anyways as you can tell by the length of this response, I did have two 60’s of Vyvanse today, so I'm finished!I hope this helped you learn some things about the V.-Zedd

What are the consequences of mixing Vyvanse and weed?

The only time I take vyvanse is to drive, and I always enjoy a good smoke on the road too. However, if I smoke right after taking the Vyvanse, the high is distorted. I feel a little extra twitchy, and not the clear focus I expect. However, if you take the Vyvanse, wait for the effects to adjust do your body, THEN smoke an hour or two later. You will be feeling like you’re playing the easiest video game ever

Have you ever taken Vyvanse for ADHD? How did you feel after taking it for the first time, and then after that?

I took it in high school, and still take it now. There was a break in between, where I thought I would try coping without meds. Did not work, so I started the Vyvanse again. I don't really remember what happened the very first time I took it, but I do know that for me it really does help a lot more than any of the others I had been on.I was on meds for ADHD practically since I was diagnosed because it was bad enough for that. I probably should have been receiving therapy too, but that's irrelevant right now. The majority of them either had me crashing or wore off by the time I got home from school, so I wasn't able to focus enough to do my homework unsupervised. Not to mention that if I took them too late in the morning I wasn't going to sleep easily that night. The Vyvanse doesn't give me the same issues. The worst side effect I get from it, really, is probably the tremors. It's one of the ones that you should talk to youur doctor about if you get them, unlike the nausea, weight loss and loss of appetite that I also dealt with as a result of the medication (although from my experience the latter three is true for all ADHD meds). I did talk to her about it once I knew that my tremors were from the Vyvanse, and I told her that since this was the only major side effect I was experiencing and it didn't affect my life that much compared to the good the Vyvanse was doing I'm going to continue to take it.The shaking doesn't happen all the time, thank god, but it does get bad when I'm trying to be precise about something. It caused a few issues for me in my art classes at school for that reason, usually when we had to do something other than drawing. It also gets worse if I haven't eaten in a while, but usually a sandwich fixes that real quick. Helps as a reminder for me to eat something, since I would forget to otherwise.
