Did Israel Make Bush/cheney Attack Iraq

Did Dick Cheney benefit from the Iraq War?

Following 9/11, Cheney was instrumental in providing a primary justification for a renewed war against Iraq. Cheney helped shape Bush's approach to the "War on Terror", making numerous public statements alleging Iraq possessed weapons of mass destruction, and making several personal visits to CIA headquarters, where he questioned mid-level agency analysts on their conclusions.Cheney continued to allege links between Saddam Hussein and al-Qaeda, even though President Bush received a classified President's Daily Brief on September 21, 2001, indicating the U.S. intelligence community had no evidence linking Saddam Hussein to the September 11 attacks and that "there was scant credible evidence that Iraq had any significant collaborative ties with Al Qaeda".Furthermore, in 2004, the 9/11 Commission concluded that there was no "collaborative relationship" between Iraq and al-Qaeda.Following the US invasion of Iraq, Cheney remained steadfast in his support of the war, stating that it would be an "enormous success story",and made many visits to the country. He often criticized war critics, calling them "opportunists" who were peddling "cynical and pernicious falsehoods" to gain political advantage while US soldiers died in Iraq. In response, Senator John Kerry asserted, "It is hard to name a government official with less credibility on Iraq [than Cheney]."In a March 24, 2008, extended interview conducted in Ankara, Turkey, with ABC News correspondent Martha Raddatz on the fifth anniversary of the original U.S. military assault on Iraq, Cheney responded to a question about public opinion polls showing that Americans had lost confidence in the war by simply replying "So?"This remark prompted widespread criticism, including from former Oklahoma Republican Congressman Mickey Edwards, a long-time personal friend of Cheney.Dick Cheney - Wikipedia

Did you believe Iraq, and Saddam Hussein, were going to attack the United States with weapons of mass destrution?

Never, this was a move to defend Israel, Bush was a born again christian, serving Israel was a religious commitment, AIPAC was all over capitol hill in the days leading up to the Iraq invasion, Cheney stood to make a lot of money so he was on board. The military is a business, it makes business for itself.Bush was spoiling for an Iraq war well before 9–11. he discussed it with Tony Blair.I am not suggesting any type of conspiracy, I just think the Bush administration had a vested interest in ignoring intelligence about a terrorist attack. After 9–11 Bush found excuses to do what he wanted to do all along.Saddam Hussein was never any threat to the USA.Had Bush 1 used decent diplomacy, the first war with iRAQ would have never taken place. We ended up with an unholy alliance of Israel, AIPAC, Cheney and arms dealers and the military money machine, and post 9–11 paranoia all pushing war.The whole thing sounded a lot like Johnson and the gulf of Tonkin deal to me.At the time i was in a survival struggle where I worked or I would have taken time off to go protest in Washington DC.

Were Israel and the Jews responsible for the Iraq war?

Good God in heaven!!

STOP!

I can sit here and type out a thesis debunking this whole conspiracy theory but conspiracy theorists don't get it. So why should I waste my time? Conspiracy theories are moronic in nature and can always be proven to be moronic in nature yet there's no reasoning with people like this. So all I can tell you is if you choose to believe in garbage that's your business but please, please, please don't subject the rest of us to it. You guys need a section all your own.

Mustafa I am a Muslim and it's reasoning like your's and every other person who plays the "blame game" that gets people no where. Iraq had nothing to do with Jews, but had everything to do with your lunatic leader. Why aren't more Muslims standing up to their oppressors? Instead they blame Jews. Stop being the victim and be a victor. This is one of the reasons Islam is in such a mess today. You can give me a thumbs down to save face if you want to, but you know it's true.

Did Iran fool the USA to invade Iraq?

Mr. Banugi is confusing the 1991 and 2003 wars.Assuming that we are talking about 2003, Iran played no role. Credibly suggested causes of the decision include desires on the part of various factions in the administration to:-Knock over the easiest of the three “axis of evil” countries earlier named by Bush as a way of intimidating the other two (Iran and North Korea) and—how this was supposed to work was never clear—somehow spread democracy and free enterprise throughout the Middle east and maybe beyond;-Get hands on Iraqi oil; and-Actual belief on the part of some officials that the Iraqi nuclear weapons program, which was shut down in 1991, partly by us and partly by them to stop us finding the rest, still existed—on the basis of “evidence” invented or intentionally misconstrued by other U.S. officials;as well as desires of President Bush personally to:—avenge the supposed Iraqi attempt to assassinate his dad during a visit to Kuwait in 1993 (the CIA and FBI disagreed on whether the Kuwaitis were making this up); and—outdo his dad, who he thought “failed” by not knocking over Hussein’ regime in the 1991 war.The summary I like best is my own, “Threat Inflation and the Failure of the Marketplace of Ideas,” International Security (Summer 2004). Should be accessible to anyone with access to a college library or interlibrary loan.
