Did Kpop Star Auditions Start Already

Is 22 too old to audition to be a KPOP star?

Your age will not hinder your chances. Of course the younger you are the better it is for you BUT, you will be okay if you audition at 22. Park Bom and Sandara Park where over the age of 22 when they got accepted into YG. And Cube's age limit for auditioning is from 11-28 so you have plenty of time. Inati, leader/rapper of Dalmatian (now DMTN) was over 22 when you was accepted to be trained. So don't worry about your age because you will be fine.

Plus, if you are worried about your age then you can audition and when you get accepted they will send you to college anyway. A lot of idols go to college still...yes it will be harder but nothing is impossible right.

I wish you good luck on your journey to becoming a K-pop star and I hope I helped you a little ^_^

Can a 20-year-old girl start training for k-pop auditions? If she can, then for how much time should she practice?

Of course. The average age group for newly recruited trainees are from ages 17 to 22 years… so you are in a pretty good spot.I will admit, getting into a reputable KPOP Company is actually really tough. You should be prepared to work your self to the latter. They only recruit the best of their contestants..How much time should she practice? As much as she can produce a sweat! Really, my recommendation might not be to your specifications, so do what you know will wear you out, but in the end be profitable to you. KPOP trainees practice EVERYDAY!No, you don’t understand.See this face??She’s almost never looking this amazing! In the secret place, she’s dancing, and dancing, and dancing till she’s beyond perfect! Playing the same routine songs over and over, such that the constant loops of the song is already itching your ears… yet she continues. It’s more than just working hard. It’s about donating your blood, sweat and strength to the art of KPOP.You ask how she should practice. I’d say, an average of 60 hours…. a week. She could do an average of 8 hours everyday, if she wants to be very good… then 75 hours a week if she wants to be exceptional. That’s the hard work behind being a star.Work Hard….. Earn easy! All hail the ever beautiful Goddess of Charm and Talent: Kim Chungha!

I have participated in an Kpop Star Audition and the result will come out soon...?

As long as you're good in speaking Korean language and can use it in conversations of course. Nickhun is not Korean, and JYP accepts him though he didnt audition :) he was just discovered, i believe :)

MY AUDITIONING TIPS :)
>>>>>>
Try checking out those Audition clip videos from famous kpop singers or group members now in youtube :)

1. no need. or depends on the company
2. Depends on you as long as you're presentable and comfortable
3. Something presentable and comfortable, more likely kpop style
4. just enough to improve the judges or whoever will manage the audition
5. practice!! and be ready if they ask you to freestyle
6. depends on the company
7. probably call you. really depends on the company, of course if you're accepted, you will have to fly there and train and debut and live in South Korea.

In my own point of view..
of course, for you to be accepted,
1. you need to sing and dance as great as those Korean idol groups nowadays..

2. you must also have nice looks and most important, good attitude and perseverance.

3. of course, you're entering Korean pop industry..and you must be good in speaking Korean..much better if you know other language like especially English, Chinese, Japanese. For example, Xander of U-KISS doesnt speak Korean very well because he grew up in other countries, but he knows SEVEN Languages,..so that is a plus factor for him.. Knowing lots of language.

4. Well anyway being linguistic doesnt matter the most. As long as you have the talent..go for it!

5. And oh, one more thing you need to enter Kpop industry is the CHARISMA. Kpop idols are very much known for their great appeal and charisma! so you must have that :)

Just watch performances and audition clips of famous kpop stars now in youtube,, they have lots. and see how they were accepted.

Here are some of KPOP audition clips i found :)

When I audition for Kpop Star do I have to speak Korean?

Education is extremely important in South Korea. You only have to look at all the academies here to know this, LOL. And english is one of the five most important subjects here(국어, 영어, 수학, 사회, 과학).

So most Koreans who've graduated elementrary school understand English. They will understand you - even though their English might be slightly awkward.

Therefore no, you do not need to speak Korean. You can always learn it later anyway.

Tips/Questions For Kpop Audition? (Sm Entertainment)?

Hi! I'm planning to audition for the 2013 Global SM Audition and I was needing some help/extra information. I'm an asian girl from LA who weighs about 98 pounds. I'm about 5'2 to 5'3 (Height) I'm gonna audition for singing. I am very confident, also hardworking, and I won't give up. Fighting! Okay, on with the questions.

1. I've already sent an application video thingy on everysing. They said they will email the date and time to me. When do you think they will get to me? I sent the video about 3-4 days ago.

2. What will we do there? I'm going to audition for singing as I already said and after I sing, will they let us dance? Like dance freestyle? And do they let you introduce yourself?

3. Is my appearance okay from the way I described it? (Height/Weight/etc)

4. Do I need to know Korean? I only know how to introduce myself in Korean and that's it. I know how to SPEAK Chinese and speak/write/read English (duhh xD) and speak a little Japanese. Should I introduce myself in both Korean and English?

5. Should I be very serious or have a little humor?

6. Say I get picked and I'm a trainee now, can I still go to MY school or do I have to move to Korea?

7. How much auditions will there be until I get the contract, etc.?

8. Will they ask you if you want to debut with a group or solo? If so, do they pair you up with other members?

9. Do I have to pay to audition? And also, what DO I have to pay for?

10. Is it okay if I have braces? (Teeth)

11. For the freestyle, should I wear heels? Is it better to?

12. What age is a good age to audition?

13. I can play piano, some flute, and I'm learning guitar. Does that play any role in the audition or does it increase any chances?

14. If I want to get a name change (Like a stage name of something), will they ask me? Is it possible to get one? Like for example Tiffany (SNSD)'s real name was Stephanie but they had a Stephanie working already so she changed her name.

15. Do I have to make/create a Korean name for myself?

Finally, can you give me some tips and stuff for the actual audition/s/?

Thanks, that's it for now ^_^
