Did Norwegians Make The Right Decision

Did I make the right decision by leaving him?

Nope ! you did not do any mistake if you know he never deserved you and treated you bad for no mistake of yours; its better to move out of that relationship. But consider this situation as well :Relationships always have their ups -downs.When you have enjoyed good times with a person, you also need to witness his/her bad phases also.Sometimes, in life you can not give importance to anyone because you yourself might need help with something. Living in such long relationship, the pampering also dies out with time.Relationships have phases, breakups, reunions and what not. Its how you are looking up to the situation.Your anger is apt over his behavior of not caring for you, but don't do it unless you don't know what is the reason behind his mindset change. Nothing happens overnight. Everyone loves to be in loving relationship.Don't assume things, If he loved you as well then there must be something bothering or irritating him also or you never know He may have found someone else. Try to know both sides of the coin then take a decision. It could be anything.Have a sincere, mature conversation , know his side also, If he also wants to move on, then do know the reason. This will help you in the end :1. You will be in peace if he's not worth you. This feeling of worthlessness will go.2.If you were at fault, you will know and you ll never repeat it. It will help you in longer run.

Becoming a Norwegian citizen?

I am a U.S citizen and have read online you would have to renounce your U.S citizenship to become a Norwegian citizen. Is that true? Or is there a way to have dual citizenship both in the U.S and Norway? And what are the requirements of becoming a Norwegian citizen?

Did George make the right decision for killing Lennie?

Well, what do you think? I hesitate answering this question if its part of homework :) Pardon that it's so long.

First off, did you notice the connection between Lennie and death, especially with the animals? First there was the mouse, who wandered into George and Lennies life then was crushed by Lennies hand, Candy's dog who was so old, it had to be shot (and we'll come back to that), the puppy that Lennie pet to death and finally the wife of Curly. Even when Lennie runs away after killing the wife we see the death of the snake by the bird at the clearing. Most of the book evolves around death in some way or another and each way can be traced back to Lennie and George. This is called foreshadowing, where the author drops hints about the ending of the book.

Second, and here is where we come back to Candy's dog, we notice one very important thing. After Candy's dog is shot he talks about how he "should have shot my own dog." Again, foreshadowing. This rings true to George and Lennies relationship. Curly wanted to shoot Lennie in the gut and make him suffer for killing his wife. George knew that either way Lennie would die, one way or the other. So instead of leaving him to suffer, George makes sure that Lennie's death is quick and painless. So, in a nutshell, I do believe that George was right in killing Lennie. Without his good friend there, Lennie would have suffered, he would eventually have died, one way or another (as I said before).

Edit:
Okay, I have to disagree with the idea that George and Lennie were gay. I very much see how one would come to conclusions about that but it just doesn't seem right. To me at least. George cared for Lennie and Lennie cared for George but I feel like it was more of a brother like relationship. I do agree with everything else said, that Lennie would have kept on creating problems and perhaps he was holding George back from achieving his full potential.

How do I know if I have made the right choice?

This is the problem faced by many of us. But some of us hesitate in expressing, What I think is there are two kinds of persons in this gigantic world- Optimistic and Pessimistic. Optimistic ones are those who are very hopeful and confident about the future, on the other hand Pessimistic ones are those who see the worst aspect of things or believe that the worst will happen. It is upon you to be very frank in which category you want to fall. The day you decide this there wont be any confusion, just listen to you inner voice which is present beneath you, but due to various confusion it is hidden.......:) It is well written in Indian Mythology-"Geeta"--"TU BAS KARM KAR FAL KI PRAPTI KI ICHA MAT RAK"(Perform your task and dont worry about results) I agree whenever you will make some big decision you will definitely face problems but trust me my friend these tough times actually test you and your patience. There will be times when all this sounds to be very unreal or bookish..But it is upon you how you perceive your situation. All I can say that Never say NO just give your dreams a chance so that in future you wont regret saying that If I would have done. In life if you want to reach to pinnacle If's But's Would's and Could's must be eliminated.Whenever you are low think of the tough times that you have crossed. Be proud and think If I can do that task haste haste toh ye bhi ho hi jaega.....:)Emotions are part and parcel of every individual life you just cant stop them but you can use them as your strength instead of making them weakness.Everything happens if you are determined, if you are inclined towards your goal then do not think at all just go for it, & dont think about what will others think - If you will succeed these many people will respect you. Think in a way that its fine if I wont succeed I will come up with more strategies... but this can only be possible if you have confidence in you and you are positive. So stay happy........:) and go for it...........:)

Should I make a YT Channel in English or Norwegian (my national language) when my YouTube friend has a Norwegian Channel and we want to make videoes together?

Who's your audience? What do you aim to serve them? There are very few international successes on the screen in Norwegian language, most notably Skam in recent times.Skam was not just a YouTube channel, but a full-fledged mixed media production by NRK, the state broadcasting company in Norway (as you might guess, I'm writing this for a wider audience than the OP, given that we're on Quora). So I think that your best shot, if you want to reach a large international audience, is to do it in English. That might also allow you to have a good cooperation with the Norwegian-language channel of your friend, with cross-referrals across language boundaries. However, you know your message and your audience best. You alone know whether you'll be comfortable speaking in English. If you're not sure, then consider pushing your limits, if you think it's the right decision.Good luck!

What is the difference between norwegian cruise and carnival cruises?

If you were to classify the brand image it would be NCL = Non-Traditional and Carnival = Fun. I have been on both lines and I would choose Carnival I believe they have better food, better service, and their entertainment is more to my tastes. The NCL entertainment was to 'artsy' for my liking.

I would like to try the Epic but it does not sail out of CA and will be in the Med for the summer. Also even though NCL pricing is generally one of the lowest they have a lot of extra charges on board. For example that have many specialty restaurants and to get more variety and better food you really need to pay the extra to eat at this venues. Carnival has very good food in the complementary main dining room.

With that being said I would highly recommend you call an independent qualified cruise specialist as they can answer all your questions about ALL lines and give you personalized service with no extra cost. They will also help you narrow down what you are specifically looking for and match the right cruise for you at the right price point that is the same or less than the cruise lines directly.

Happy Birthday and Good Luck

Is Oslo, Norway, worth visiting for 2 days??

Agree with Lionel.
Although I love Scandinavia, I would not recommend to go for Oslo just for two days, especially if the airfare is quite expensive.
The beauty of Norway in my opinion, cannot be seen in Oslo. you would have to go further north to see the Fjords. That is really majestic. I took a train to travel south from Narvik. At one stage, we had to get on a ferry to bring us across a Fjord. the view on this trip was simply majestic.
Another interesting experience is being north of the Arctic Circle during summer time. Bright sunlight at 2am in the morning, is a unique experience.
So I'd recommend to consider the following two options:
1) Make sure to be north of the Arctic Circle to admire the beauty of the landscape and 24 hours daylight. You will most likely need more than two days for this.
2) Spend the additional two days in Scotland and make a trip far north, potentially to the Orkney Islands. There you can get a similar experience of walking along the beach at midnight at dawn.

Hope it helps to make the right decision for you..
