Did Tagore Were Color Blind

What do blind people see? Do blind people see complete black, or is it an absence of any perception of color in a way that I could not experience?

You can try yourself.Writing on Mindhacks, Vaugn Bell—perhaps one of the best neuroscience writers around —explains the trick:"If you don't believe me, try this simple, but startling demonstration. First, hold your eyeball perfectly still. You could use calipers to do this, or a drug that paralyses the eye muscles, but my favourite method is to use my thumb and index finger. Using the sides of your thumb and finger, press on the bone of the eye socket, through your upper and lower eyelids. Do this gently. Try it with one eye first, closing the other eye or covering it with your hand."With your eye fixed in position, keep your head still and soon you will experience the strangest thing. (You will have to stop reading at this point. I don't mind. We will pick up when you have finished). After a few seconds the world in front of you will fade away. As long as you are holding your eyeball perfectly still, you will very quickly discover that you can see nothing at all. Blink, or move your head, let go of your eye and the world will come back."What's happening? Essentially, your eye is casting the exact same pattern of light on to the retina. Because nothing's changing, the receptors in your eye start sending messages to the brain less often, so the brain is passed information less regularly. Gradually, that means the image fades to nothing. Put crudely, it's like bad smells that disappear when you're exposed to them for more than a few minutes.

How would you describe rabindranath tagore paintings?

Rabindranath reshaped and transformed Indian art with Contextual Modernism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He started painting and drawing at the age of sixty three. His Art and Paintings are greatly underappreciated, but they are beautiful, mercurial and enigmatic in their own way.He was likely red-green colour blind, resulting in works that exhibited strange colour schemes and off-beat aesthetics. Many of his paintings were influenced and based upon his experience in theatres and playwright. Seeing his works in a group is like viewing a world-less drama. After he developed his love for painting, Tagore described the visible world around him “as a vast procession of forms.” His paintings of the nature, the landscapes spoke about mysteries, and of a natural disquiet silence which is yet difficult to decipher. His artistic works on women, speak of his undying interest and fascination in humans. It describes his modern and collective view about the society. He presented different moods and forms of women; of wonder, melancholy, love and drama. He shows how an artist who is playful with lines, even lyrically playful, can consciously move from figurative to pure abstract expressionism.(Image courtesy- Google images)Thanks for the A2A! ;)

Should I go for NID entrance exam and UCEED if I have color blindness and poor sketching skills?

I think I am eligible to answer this question. I have a RG colorblindness. I am a strong protan colorblind. Therefore I absolutely hated painting in childhood. I used to refer to the paper which wraps an oil pastel because I had difficulties in figuring out which color it was. I appeared for UCEED16I think you defin should appear for UCEED.There are almost 10% people in the world who are colorblind. Imagine how valuable you could be to a class full of designers when they are building color-blind friendly maps or charts. Just because you are color blind dosnt mean you cannot become an excellent industrial designer or even a visual designer. If you go through the paper, you will realize that there are hardly any questions based on color. UCEED is an aptitude test and they know that people have some inherent strengths and weaknesses. All the best :) I am so glad you asked this question.

Can I use my color pencils and pigma microns in NID Entrance exam?

And the best part is, the songs in all of them have best of the lyrics and music, some of them are simply unforgettable!1. Mughal-E-Azam (1960): Everyone knows the story of Salim and Anarkali, this one is a masterpiece of Madhubala and Dilip Kumar.4. Padosan (1968): A very light-hearted movie and the traditional Bollywood story of how a boy impresses the girl, who is also his neighbor.5. Aradhna (1969): Not all stories have a happy marriage. This one has Kishore Kumar's best songs.6. Mera Naam Joker (1970): One man show, Raj Kapoor at his best!7. Do I need to be good in sketching to qualify for the NID UG entrance exam?

Short Answer: No, but you have to be smart.Long Answer:I qualified the NID DAT for UG this year without having much knowledge of sketching. The question you have to ask yourself is "Why NID?" If you think you're a designer and you want to attend NID because you seriously want to pursue design as a career and devote your whole life to using design to solve problems, then you're already a good-enough artist. They don't ask you to sketch stuff. They want you to show your creativity using a pencil on a sheet of paper, and that necessarily does not add up to good sketching. In my DAT, there was a question, "What would you do if you have a dripping tap and no plumber for a whole night?" and I had to sketch out six solutions. The obvious one, like I started, was to put a pipe and store the water in a bucket. The second one I came up with was to water plants using that pipe, perhaps something like drip irrigation. Here's where it gets interesting, though. I remembered by Chemistry class and that Gregnard Reagent is prepared under anhydrous conditions because it readily reacts with any moisture present in air, so one of my ideas was to "Observe the conversion of Gregnard Reagent to hydrocarbon, RMgX + HOH -> RH + Mg(OH)X, using that drop of water, because that's all that is necessary. You have to come up with ideas that are out of the box. You could imagine the tap being fifty feet large and a drop being literally a ton of water to solve India's water crisis.NID doesn't need you to be a good artist, they need you to be a good problem solver. They need you to think what others can't think. You need absolutely no preparation to crack the DAT, though I made a sheet with facts I thought were relevant, like NID always asks one question about traditional art forms. You can check it out here: NID DAT.Hope I could help. Best of luck!
