Did The Riots Take Away Alot Of Jobs

Baltimore Riots. Tell me your opinions of the situation?

Look, I understand the anger in regards to those being unjustly treated, HOWEVER, I do not agree that replacing one form of violence with another is the course of action to take at this particular instance.
Yes, we see in the media MANY times, that there are blacks being mistreated by white cops. Some are factually racial issues, while others are purely supposition.
These people are angry due to how they have been treated, however, the black community makes up 12.61% of the population of America. take that number in. so, yes, we see many cases of black people being mistreated, however, THAT'S THE MEDIA. It sells, because it causes controversy. Now I'm not trying to make some conspiracy theory here, but let's face the fact that the news makes money off of chaos, and drama. People don't bat and eye when a white cop kills a white cop. You can't give that any racial issue. If a black cop kills a white cop, now a days, people still don't bat an eye because people are either glad for the "payback" or it simply was a crime he stopped (and many times this applies in vise versa).
So, let me be clear, I do sympathize for those who are being treated unjustly for their color, but in this particular instance, responding in violence isnt the way. The police will just strengthen their force, and guess what, their force is stronger then those rioting, and you will lose. If it escalates to a point where I do believe you should retaliate in violence, I'll stand right by you with a gun.

Do protestors at protests that last multiple days have jobs?

Some do some don't. I work I protest for my rights and other people that can't be bothered or don't understand that the government slowly claws away are rights and sells are land from under are feet for there own gain. I take a holiday or just take the time off if need be unpaid. My rights are far more important than making money.we can just ignore this fact and hope it has no effect on are well being or daily life we know it won't stop the government abusing the job we have given them as we pay there wage but it will hopefully make others realise how corrupt they are and each time hopefully a few more people will join in and protest and fight for the rights of the people of Great Britain this country belongs to us all not just those we elect to run are affairs and look after are taxes.

What would we do if all jobs were automated?

The answers so far focus on the jobs that will be created for humans. There is, however, a different way of looking at this. What do you do on a day off? A day where you don’t have to work?If a robot took over your job, and if income was not an issue, you would have tons of spare time. You can do with this time as you please. You could even do things that robots might be able to do better, just because you enjoy doing it. (I have lots of music from professional artists I enjoy listening to, but I still enjoy playing music myself. I’m nowhere near as good, but I enjoy the process. Same thing.)Of course, this assumes that income is no longer an issue; once production has been automated to such an extent that manufacturing costs are significantly lowered, we enter a post-scarcity state of society. This can go various ways, but one outcome is that everyone has their basic needs met.

Anybody fancy a good old fashioned riot?

Ifeel like rioting over the lack of riots today in the UK. Whats the matter with us! Back in the '80s we had some quite 'lively' riots. Brixton, Toxteth, St Pauls, Lots of lovely looting, we "didn't NEED to find a reason! We had Thatcher, and we thought SHE was a Nazi ! She was like a Fairy Godmother compared to the shower of sh*ts we've Got today! Kids today aren't even trying. With their "Low Intensity Antisocial Behaviour" and their Ridiculously Unscary Air of Vague Hooded Menace! P*ssies!
Pus*ies and Puppies, the lot of them. Too bloody lazy to get off their ars*s, unless its to Mug some Old Wrinkly for Crack money. (usually their own Smack Raddled Mothers) What ever happened to our Right to Riot anyway! Has it been made illegal or something?
Right to Riot? Bolox! What about our DUTY to Riot, to Burn, and Loot, ( Currys and Dixons are usually quite good; local shops, for local people! ) to drag our CHEATING,LYING, Politicians out of their troughs, and string 'em up from the nearest Lamp post, Mussilini Style, (if merited) At least Tar and Feather the lot of them! The French don't have a problem with rioting, they just get on with it. After all, its not as if its a War or anything. Block up all the roads with (Burning?) lorries, block all the Ports off, and its all "Pierre has a Happy day!" All we can manage are "Peaceful Protest Marches"! AND we have to book them in advance! With the Pigs! What sort of Signal does that send to our Leaders? No wonder they think they can get away with all their Nefarious Hoodwinking and Warmongering. British People are no longer on their Knees, they've rolled right over, belly up, hoping not to incur the Wrath of their Masters / Pimps! I , for one, am appalled at our Apathy. This is the Land that gave the Romans Boudicca, The land that gave Thatcher the Flying Pickets ( Not the Band, you fool!) The Land that gave the Pope, Henry VIII. The Land that gave Gallatasserye our Weekend Casuals! The Land that bent over and offered George Bush its unploughed stink hole? Don't Get me started! Yes, Top idea,Old Thing ,Lets have a Great Big f*ckin Riot! Lets Crown Wat Tyler King of London again! Feed the Poor, Eat the Rich, Stop the City!
Good Luck, and God Bless,x.

What will humans do when all manufacturing and service jobs are taken over by robots and artificial intelligence?

Great question and one thing to note is that all answers to this question would just be a guess, as no one really knows how the world will change. What we do know though, is that it is changing. Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum, has published a book entitled The Fourth Industrial Revolution. In this fourth revolution, we are facing a range of new technologies that combine the physical, digital and biological worlds. These new technologies will impact all disciplines, economies and industries, and even challenge our ideas about what it means to be human. You hear people talk about a universal basic income. Where the government will provide a small income to all citizens to survive. So that’s one solution. With left brain focused jobs being automated or very computer assisted, I feel we are going to need to tap into more into our right side of the brain and we’ll see new roles that show this.Creativity, Spirituality and Emotional Intelligence are fields that will rise up. I was at conference called Synergy in NYC last year and there definitely was a theme of Emotional Intelligence, so we are going through a shift from IQ to EQ.Have a read of Dan Golemans book: Emotional Intelligence: Why It Can Matter More Than IQCreativity and Spirituality I think will become more important and we’ll see new fields around these areas.Keep updated with the latest AI tech and be part of the AI community at Welcome AI - Artificial Intelligence Companies, Technologies, Products and Services

Has society really changed in America?

Here is a recent article that was posted on yahoo. After reading the article and reading the comments. I have to say this, times have changed drastically, people seem to be nicer, more tolerant, and just overall more decent people than they were shown to be in Americas early history. I'm even friends now with an ex-white supremest to. So I know there is good in us. I just can't understand why so many people are racist on the internet. In person I rarely meet someone who doesn't like another person simply because of their skin color. However on the net, every other person seems to be in the KKK or Black Panthers. Why? what's the point?

Why do traders in investment banks feel their jobs are immune from AI, automation, and deep learning?

Why do investment bankers feel their jobs are immune from AI, automation, and deep learning? The reason for the is one of the most critical skills of a good investment banker that separates them from the rest. And it has nothing to do with any advantage over computers or AI whatsoever.Risk assessment.People are very, very bad at assessing risks and tend to overreact. If someone writes a post about an evil AI that outperforms humans in picking up women by 420%, tomorrow there will be riots. Even if by picking up they meant lifting them in the air. Nobody will even think about why robots would be hitting on women in the first place. How do the guys who earn millions react differently? They know how to calculate risk. Are robots better in trading? Hell yes. Even now. Did it put traders out of the job? Will robots be better in investing some day? Most likely. Is it going to happen in the nearest years? No.Investment is a long-term relationship. It’s a pact. I give you money to you so that you could grow and bring back more money. It’s a complicated process that involves thousands of factors, most of which are based on assessing the team and their competitors. People (Tim Gouskov gives an excellent answer about it). It’s a little bit more complicated that putting their height and weight into regression model. Okay, Google, are these guys capable of delivering the product to the market in the next five years while attracting customers and not losing their key people to big companies? What? I don’t hear you...Statistical learning methods don’t have motivation. To start making money they need a person who presses the button. Do you know what they call a guy who would totally press the button on a money-making machine if he could? Investment banker.Worst case scenario, there will be fewer bankers. They will probably be more mathematically inclined. The decade when it happens is still unknown. Does it sound like a problem for someone whose main personality requirement for the job is willingness to take calculated risks?
