So no one can say whether soya milk will increase weight or not.Because if you drink 500ml of soya milk and eat very less you will not gain weight.SO for gaining weight you can add soya milk because it is a very good source of protein and cheap also. So for weight gain the ration of carbohydrates:protein must be 3:1 if you want to gain in healty way and do not want to gain fat.And take more calories than you burn.May be you have heard people saying do this to gain weight do taht.For eg. from my childhood i have heard eat bannana and milk together to gain weight etc. But i have not seen results then i started gaining knowledge by youtube,blogs etc and now i know the science behind it.If still any doubt you can comment i will provide help as much as i can

It's not just the calories that is the problem with soy milk. It's the naturally occurring hormones and chemicals that are the problem.

Soy contains phytoestrogens, which act like real estrogen in the human body. Soy has also been linked to thyroid disorders which can lead to weight gain.

Soy is poison. So put the soy milk down and eat some real food.

You may find that skimmed milk would probably be a better if watching your weight. Unsweetened soy milk has a higher protein:carb ratio than skim milk, but generally more fat. Many are also sweetened, some with apple juice, others just with sugar. They do tend to taste better though so no more than about 250ml (1 normal-sized glass / serving with cereal) a day should be okay.
Check nutritional labelling on the side of the cartons to ascertain fat and calorie content.

I'm a transsexual, but I actually drank TONS of soy milk a few years ago, when I never knew that it has lots of estrogen/phytoestrogens! Until I was researching it on Answers Yahoo!

My penis size is pretty small, I was wondering why, could it be all the soy milk that I've been drinking? (I don't mind having a small penis, I'm a transsexual after all)

I'm 17 and 10 months old, and I'm not sure about in-taking hormones or estrogen is a good idea. I'm still looking for doctors and therapists for that.

So will Soy Milk help me look more feminine? Grow breasts? Grow female hormones? =D

Is it okay to sustitute dinner with soy milk?

I'm 15(male) and trying to loose some weight since I got some pounds overweight. I simply want to know if it would be fine and well, beneficial to drink a glass of soy milk and chow down on some fruit as a replacement of dinner. I know that soy milk in general is healthy but I'm just wondering if I do drink soy milk as a substitute for dinner will it somehow affect my growth and development?
