Do I Have Heart Disease

Do sock marks actually mean you have a heart disease, I’m 15 and my blood pressure is perfect. Iv had sock marks since I was little.?

No.

Can a 23 year old have heart disease?

Short answer: yes.

The problem with reading symptoms on the internet is that it's so easy to relate them to non-specific symptoms which you may be having and these symptoms may be unconnected. It depends what type of heart disease you mean. Coronary heart disease is generally seen in much older people but it can sometimes affect young people, especially if there is a strong family history.

Structural abnormalities of the heart including valvular disease can sometimes present later in life.

How old were your grandparents when they had strokes? If it's above the age of 55 (for men) and 65 (for women) then this isn't really significant as this can be considered part of the normal ageing process and is not really premature. Did your parents have high cholesterol or other heart issues when they were in their 20s and 30s? If so, it's worth having your cholesterol levels checked. Make an appointment with your Doctor and he'll arrange this for you.

Grandparents are not first degree relatives either.

Excess weight, an unhealthy diet and lack of exercise will of course contribute to premature ageing. If you have health concerns, see your GP and he'll do some general tests.

Can a 15 year old have heart disease / a heart attack?

im 15, female, i weigh 167 pounds and im 5'5. for the past two weeks ive been having a lot of problems and im seriously convinced i have heart disease...

ive been having shortness of breath, pressure and sometimes burning in my chest, back, and left arm. i also have a cough that is slowly going away and gas (burping and all that). my mom took me to the hospital on Wednesday and they checked my heart and lungs and said i had post nasal drip. my BP was 124/80.

this started happening after the death of someone i was close to... but i still had the shortness of breath before that. sometimes at night, sometimes during the day. i know the doctors said they didnt think it was a heart problem but its still continuing!

i really think i have some sort of heart problem but my mom keeps telling me its just anxiety...one night my heart felt like it was going to beat out of my chest. i paced around the house for about 10 minutes, then sat and watched a movie with my mom and it got better. i have similar things every day, where i have to get up and pace + cry.

ive been diagnosed with depression and anxiety since i was 13. i was also told i have anemia in 2015 and took iron pills for a while. i just want all this to stop. im terrified that ill have a heart attack or something soon. please help?

Can you have heart disease with normal blood pressure and no other apparent risk factors?

Thanks for A2A.Sadly the answer to your question is yes, you can have heart disease even with normal blood pressure and no other obvious risk factors. The problem is that Heart Disease is a very vague term inclusive of multiple problems like-1. Coronary Heart Disease, the most common cardiac problem in most developed and developing countries involving blockages in blood vessels of the heart.2. Cardiomyopathies i.e diseases of the muscle of the heart which may be genetic or acquired after an infection, or as a reaction to some drugs.3.Congenital heart disease i.e disease that are present from birth like Atrial septal defects (lay man term being ‘having a hole in the heart’)4. Valvular heart disease which is fairly common in young adults in countries like India or in older age groups in western populationsSince you are talking about Blood Pressure, you seem mostly concerned about Coronary Heart Disease and Heart Failure. With regards to Coronary Heart Disease, there are certain risk factors which are modifiable when it comes to heart diseases. For e.g high blood pressure, cholesterol, overweight/obesity, tobacco use, lack of physical activity and diabetes. Modifiable risk factors can be altered/treated and controlled to a certain extent. But there are certain risk factors which can not be modified e.g Age, Genetics, Ethinicity, Family History. The occurence of heart disease particularly Coronary Heart Disease is a complex interaction between multiple modifiable and non-modifiable risk factors. Though having a good lifestyle inclusive of good exercise and diet always helps in having a healthy life.

Can a 14 year old have a heart attack?

Dear sweet victoria!
I register with you sweetie as I use to be very concerned as a teen due to an array of symptoms that turned out to be nothing but an Iron deficiancy. The internet can be a scary doctor, as you tye in your symptoms and the worst comes up. It is EXTREMELY rare for anyone your age to have a heart attack that was not born with issues with their hearts. Your issues may be more anxiety related over something much smaller. Please speak to your parents or gaurdians about needing a check up dues to headaches dizziness and chest palapatations (which occur with many aliments) and when there talk to yourdoctoor about your concerns. Trust me they will make you feel better. & ifsomething is going on they can get you the proper medical care, which is so advanced Im sure they will keep you safe.
I hope (and believe) you will be okay. Try not to think about it too much ( I know its so hard when those symptoms pop up) BTW when you get palapataions hold your breath and push it down hard in your lungs for just a few seconds it resets your heart beat! I learned that in the hospital when I had an allergic reaction to a vaccine and it kept happening because it took a very long time to get out of my system.
Good luck and be logical as possible dont think fearful thoughts instead use logic! I had to learn this believe it or not!

Can a 15 year old have a Heart Attack?

I know this might be a really ridiculous question, but I recently had some sort of anxiety/panic attack (chest pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, etc.) and ever since that I had some sort of fear of having a heart attack.

Again I know it's pretty ridiculous. Anways, I'm 15 years old, I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs (of course). I am overweight, but I play lots of sports. I occasionally eat fast food when I need to eat a quick dinner or something, but not often. I usually eat homemade meals mostly healthy.

I know I can't get a heart attack, but my family has a record of Diabetes, High Blood Pressure, and I think Heart Problems. All I was wondering was if it was possible for me to get a heart attack at my age. I was also wondering if you guys have any advice for those anxiety/panic attacks.

Thanks! :D

Do dogs have heart attacks?

Yes they can. Actually, my 20 year old Chihuahua mix, died of a heart attack. Any animal is prone to heart disease, heart failure, irregular heart beat and complications.Ways to tell your dog may have heart problems:Lethargy/ weaknessHeavy PantingBlueish tint to tongue (lack of oxygen)CoughChange in BehaviorLoss of AppetiteWeight gain/lossRestlessnessEdema (swelling of body tissue, primarily in the abdomen)IsolationWhen my dog started having issues, I noticed he would start separating himself from the other dogs. He became weak and had trouble getting up and down the stairs. His appetite never really lessened (he loved scrambled eggs and could still hear the crack of a shell)But he was also extremely old. He was 140 in dog years!

Can bees have heart attacks?

Nope. No blood vessels.A heart attack is when fatty deposits, clots, etc. block the coronary artery that leads to the heart muscle. Blood flow to the heart muscle itself (as opposed to the pumping chambers) stops, so the muscle dies and the heart stops beating. So to have a heart attack, you need a heart and arteries.Insects have a heart, sometimes, but no arteries or veins. They have an open circulatory system: all their organs just float in a goo called "hemolymph" that is a combination of lymph and blood. Some insects, bees included, have a heart and an aorta (the vessel leading out of the heart) that pumps the blood and gives it some semblance of direction (from the back of the insect to the front), but beyond that there is no circulatory system. The heart floats in the hemolymph along with everything else. No way to stop it from receiving blood flow, because it's surrounded by it.Furthermore, unlike human blood, insect blood doesn't carry oxygen. They have a special network of tubes called trachea that provide oxygen: think of it having air vessels go from your lungs all throughout your body instead of blood vessels. Conceivably the trachea leading to an insect heart could all get blocked by something from the outside, which would be the closest thing to a "heart attack" in an insect, but there's no record of that happening and its unlikely anyway. So, nope, no insect can have a heart attack. Scare them to your heart's content. For more info: http://insects.about.com/od/morp...http://www.cals.ncsu.edu/course/...
