How do I control my psychic powers?
This might sound weird, but I think I might actually have psychic powers. Whenever I read/watch something on television, something very similar either happens in front of me in real life, or on the news. I believe my thoughts are having an effect on reality. Does anyone know about this ability, and how to control it?

What are signs I have psychic powers?
I believe some signs of psychic abilities can sometimes be over looked and written off as simply something that you’re good at doing. I gave an example in another question about clairaudiance which can be so settled that it’s overlooked. Claircognizant is another one that can be overlooked because you often times don’t question how you knew something until you’re questioned about the answer or statement you made. Only than are you puzzled as to how did you know but you don’t have the answer to the source of your knowledge. Do you sometimes feel spirits near you? Do you not only feel the emotion of a person but also how they feel? Than immediately aftwards you’re flooded with additional information about that person. Both are Clairsentiance and the second is working with claircognizance. Do you sometimes get the same smell of a fragrance or baked good when you’re alone and theirs no explanation for either? That’s clairsalience or Clairscent. Along with sensing spirit around you do you often see movement out of the corner of your eye? That’s clairvoyance. These are a few examples that I hope help. The ability to detect information beyond what the senses can identify, and beyond what logical mind deduces and speculates via obvious appearance, is a latent ability within every individual. Its in the human blueprint.Every single one of us is psychic. You are. I am. That guy over there is. Humans are. Its not supernatural. It is a natural component of our potential. Its in the package. Its an APP we all have already installed. Its not weird, its not imagination, and its not hard. We just have to quit using the power of the mind to negate it.The problem is that we must willfully believe in it to develop it. We have to take responsibility for allowing it to flourish. The other 5 sense are automatic. However, it just so happens that our evolutionary process involves unique techniques for progress because we are so conscious and have will. We, at a particular point actually have to CHOOSE to evolve!This is an odd analogy, but the psychic ability is like having a disease you don't know you have yet, until symptoms begin to appear. You can harbor disease cells for years and not know it. Gut feelings and intuition arise from our psychic ability. What does a gut feeling feel like? THAT is exactly what psychic powers feel like. No more, no less.You just suddenly have a feeling about something. We all get feelings about things. The problem is, our programming in this world from childhood on veers us away from our personal power and authority. Therefore, we can get feelings, but for some reason we don't feel qualified. Don't ask me how, I just can. But I am not sure if my mind is just making me think I'm psychic. I asked some of my friends, took some online quiz's and the results of these was that I am psychic. I think I'm psychic, because: - when I dream, most of the time the dream comes true - I have deja vu a lot - I sense in the mornings, if my day will be a good day or a bad day, like 2 days ago I sensed it will be a bad day (that day, I got into a fight with my cousin, got 2 assessments and twisted one of my bones in my knee, still healing) - I bond with nature, like wind usually follows me, soothes me, I can command it (but only slightly), this goes to other parts of nature (fire, earth, water) or every animal is nice to me, follows me, helps me, understands me, like I can come up to a angry animal who wants to attack someone and it won't harm me - I can sense sometimes a presence near me, but there is no one there - I can here my name called out, but no one is calling me - I have a lot of bad luck (like, bad luck follows me) Most of these points (above) started getting them when I was younger. Like the bond with nature, it always was, my Mum told me how dogs would follow me, wind would follow my path when I was walking around or come to me, that was around like when I was 5 or 6 years old. I was always the odd one out of my group of friends and most people considered me as a weirdo. :/ What do you guys think, am I psychic? If so, what kind(s) of psychic am I? How do psychic powers and witchcraft differ?
I believe psychic ability is just the ability to read the energy that is available in the universe, but not yet scientifically explained. To me it is a natural ability which some have fine-tuned more than others. We all have gut instincts, feelings, etc.,Witchcraft is a modern term for a system of thought that has been created out of a variety of ancient traditions. The ancient traditions were about living in harmony with the natural universe, and as Donna said, using symbols, “spells,” etc. to work with the subconscious mind. When you light a candle in church it has no power of its own, but it creates a belief that you have done something good for a person and therefore, because you believe it, you have.It is starting to be a well-accepted phenomena that you can manifest by focusing your thoughts and feelings on what you want. There are hundreds of wonderful examples on websites such as “The Secret | Feel Good. Change Your Life.” and since I teach manifesting I’ve seen them in my own life and in students.I think witchcraft got a bad name during the inquisition when many innocent women were burned at the stake for simply being different - looking different, being intuitive, you name it. It was mass hysteria according to history, and the “witches” were said to be “consorting with the devil,” when in reality many of them were completely innocent women just passing down ancient women’s wisdom.
Why do people pretend to be have psychic powers?
Everyone wants to feel a bit different and special. Some folks are more willing to embarrass themselves than others. Pretending to have some kind of imaginary psychic power must be better for the ego than having nothing at all. You don't even need to try that hard. Just call yourself psychic and shout down anyone who disagrees with you.

Wow. Well, I bet you get home around the same time every day. And you probably have favorite channels that you mostly watch. And those channels probably have reruns. You're bound every so often to think of a show that just happens to be on, even by the law of probability. Also, TV shows tend to coincide with time of year; for example, if it's around Valentine's day they're going to put on the Valentine's day episodes, while you happen to be thinking about the particular holiday. This explains most other similar phenomena also. Somebody, somewhere, sometime is bound to think or dream of something that then later happens. Compare this to the amount of times you or anybody anywhere else thinks or dreams of something that DOESN'T happen and you will see that chance anomalies make perfect sense. Or: You have a magical, mystical psychic connection to television transmission. Deja vu is fairly common as well. I have read that sometimes, the left half of your brain processes things a little faster than the right or vice versa so that it feels like we're able to predict things a second in advance.
Do you think Gypsies have real psychic powers if so why are a lot of them poor?
Since when does "psychic power" equal monetary wealth? People with knowledge of the sacred know that monetary wealth does not equal spiritual wealth and happiness. So, to answer your question: yes, I think Gypsies have real knowledge of the sacred (which includes the ability to connect with the Divine--ie., "psychic powers"). They may be "poor" in monetary wealth, but rich in the things that matter.
