How to convince my parents to let me go to Universal Studios Hollywood alone?

This spring break, my family is going to California. I LOVE theme parks and we will only be able to go to one because the rest of my family does not like them. I was planning on going to Disneyland and Universal Studios. I was hoping that if I go to Universal alone they will not mind because they are not the ones waiting in lines and going on rides that they don't enjoy. The only problem is convincing them. I am 13 year old and basically know the park inside out because I love Universal. I know that right away my mom will say no, but I need your advice to convince her.

Thank You!
Sam

How to convince my parents to let me go to universal studios with my friend?

well last night my friend Alex texted me and said his friend invited him to go to universal studios on july 6th but he found out she only wants him to go so her friend won't be a 3rd wheel and he asked me if i wanted to go and i told him i would really love to but i didn't know if i could because the tickets are not cheap but he said he will be willing to pay for half of mine and his mom will be driving us there because my mom is having surgery on the 1rst and 2nd and cant drive for a while. i have known alex for around 3 years now and my mom has meet him and says hes a nice boy but my dad has not meet him and i really want to go because alex is moving soon and this might be the last time im able to hang out with him but i think my parents may say no beacause my mom is having her surgery on the 1rst and 2nd its nothin to major just removal of a basil cell on her lower eyelid but whats to the best possible way to ask them especially my dad because he's never meet alex

How old do you have to be to get into City Walk at Universal Studios Orlando?

There is not age limit for CityWalk. It is just like going to the mall. To get into the clubs - they are almost all over 21, with a few exceptions for teen nights and earlier than 9PM. At teen nights or early hours, they are extremely strict about underage. Don't even thinks about false ids. They know all the tricks.

How old do you have to be to get into universal studios without a parent in L.A?

The theme parks don't check into age, except maybe Magic Mountain. Magic Mountain had a problem a few years ago where parents would drop their kids off at Magic Mountain all day long during the summer, "daycare" for the low cost of a cheap season pass which was typically the same price as a one day ticket. Some of the kids ran wild, which brought the issue to attention of the park and they put in some restrictions at that time.

My 16 yr old son and his friends have gone to Universal Studios alone for a birthday, and they didn't have a problem getting in, I don't think anyone was over 16. CityWalk has a 10pm curfew for under 18 year olds, it's a LA County Ordinance, so kids need an adult guardian after 10pm. Universal Studios closes at 10pm or earlier, so it's not an issue.

Have fun!

Why did Charlie Gard's case pose an argument against universal healthcare?

The child is the patient not the parent. His doctors had the full information on his condition. The same doctors that had fought a long, hard fight for his life, so only had the childs interest at heart. They had this information, not you or me, or the media. The parents are heart broken and don't want their child to die obviously, so they cling to every vestige of hope.Into this scenario comes an American doctor. He has not seen the child to examine him. Has not accessed his medical records or spoken to his British doctors. He has seen the news in the media and decided to publically offer treatment to the child, sight unseen. A treatment that is not unknown to the British doctors who know that, in all likelihood, it would be useless and just cause Charlie more suffering before he died. So, his British doctors protect their patient and try to protect the parents from spending a great deal of money for a lost cause. The American doctor eventually sees the records and agrees with the British doctors. In this case I totally agree with the British doctors. In other cases where there is the remotest chance that a new treatment elsewhere could help a child but the British doctors know it could cause the child excess suffering and so try to stop it, then I think the parents should have the right to take the child abroad at their own expense and if the child improves great but if the child dies after more suffering then they would have to live with it, along with the massive medical bill for the privilege. So, in my opinion this is actually an argument for universal healthcare where the patient is everything, and against private healthcare where doctors tout for business, and try to promote their latest unproven treatment, despite the damage that could be done to the patient and the patients family. I am not saying this American doctor did not have good intentions but he should not have offered hope to a grieving family before he knew the full facts.
