Do I Need To Do All My Levels Before I Get Coaching

What do you need to be a volleyball coach?

It depends on what you want to coach? there are 2 main venues:
school or club ball
for school you usually need to meet your states minimum requirement. I live in IL, I had to meet the IHSA's requirement of passing 2 courses: Coaching Principles & Sports First Aid
The link to the site for more info is: www.ihsa.org (it may be able to provide links to information in your state)

For club ball, Everything is done under the rules of USAV. The USAV requirement is to be Impact Certified (similar to IHSA classes but mildly different). Other than the Impact certification, clubs decide based Experience and Training.

Pay for both is based on a combination of Experience & Training. For example A coach who has 5 years player and 1 year coaching experience and who is Impact certified will get payed less than someone who has 8 years playing and 5 years coaching and who also meets the basic certification by both groups and is also CAP Level I certified.
in the same token someone who is CAP LEVEL III certified, has 3 years playing and 12 coaching would probly make more than both previous.
I would look to http://usavolleyball.org/Education/programs.asp
for club and college (but helps greatly for highschool and grade school)

as for the main requirements for highschool/Grade school. I would contact the school district you are looking to coach in and try to get a hold of one of the Head coaches at a school

feel free to email me if you need anymore help or have anymore questions

Do you have to teach to be a coach?

I have been coaching basketball for the last nine years and I am what you call an off campus coach. There seems to be more of us now than before since not all teachers are qualified to coach certain sports.

I would suggest he contact a local school to see how to get involved. I started out as a JV assistant and then moved to the developmental side. I was an Varsity assitant last year for boys and then became a Varsity interim head coach for girls.

The pay is not why you get involved. I did it for free for 6 years. Usually there is a stipend which is about $500 for an assitant. When i was a jv head coach it was $2800.00 for the whole year.

The only problem with being an off campus coach is that if a teacher at the school wants to coach the get the priorty.

Good luck-Jeff

Is it necessary to join a coaching institute for cracking the IIT JEE (with a good rank)?

No buddy. It is not necessary. Even without having gone to a single coaching class, I got a very good All India Rank in JEE Mains and Advanced both and hence am now at IIT Bombay. Self study is a necessary component of your preparation even if you join coaching classes. But coaching is not. You are a one of those rare students who atleast think of whether to avoid going to a coaching or not. Otherwise there are these assholes who go to coaching without thinking of it and just follow the trend. However, you have to have a high concentration level and optimism along with confidence to make you stick to your study plan. Since I never attempted a coaching class, I self-studied daily for 8-9 hours. Remember that you have the great Internet to your help. From free or paid study materials to online videos on youtube, it has almost everything in store for you for your prep. I bought some books and study materials online. I went in forums to clear my doubts. What more do you need? And don't care if you're an average student. When I gave a few aptitude test for some coaching (because my parents forced me to do so) I got roughly 3 or 4 marks. Or maybe 0. I don't remember. JEE is not about your intelligence level. And by trying these, I managed the cost of my prep in between 20k - 30k rupees! So my recommendation is that you should not really go to coaching, but have an access to the internet. Good luck!

How much do figure skating coaches make?

on a weekly basis?

How much does it cost to take the CFA level (1,2,3) exams along with tuitions in India?

Being an Indian, we have to pay more of INR for the fees which is in USD because of the currency exchange rate. Now starting with Level 1, your one time regustraion and level1 fees will sum up to Rs 90,000. And tben other stuff like Schewzer notes, Calculator, etc. will cost more Rs.5000. Now if you want to take coachings too, then Rs20–30,000 more depending upon which coaching you join (but I would personally prefer self-study, at least for level 1)So summing up all this, level 1 can cost you around Rs1,25,000 with coaching and Rs 95,000 without coaching. Same goes with level 2 and 3, but there you donot have to pay the registration amount all else remaining the same.Hope it helps!
