How long should you go in the tanning bed first time?
I would probably lay for 6-9 minutes, but your tanning operator will also probably make a suggestion depending on their type of beds. The first few times you may not see results, and if you are wanting to (since you won't be tanning regularly) you may want to tear off a piece of a small sticker and stick it somewhere unnoticable. I am guessing you don't want a large playboy bunny or palm tree on you somewhere, so I would just tear a piece of one off just to see the color, or don't if you don't care, lol. I use a tanning lotion called Hot Mess which works extremely well for me! It is NOT a hot lotion (one of those tingly ones), and I would NOT suggest getting a hot lotion. I've heard they hurt and sound very scary and harmful! Especially your first time, make sure it is not hot. I would suggest Hot Mess though, and I recently just started used a face lotion, but have only used it once. You might need that too, though. I've heard they really help. Remember little things like the tanning bed can make your hair lighter and dry it out if you decide to continue use! Always put on regular lotion after you get out to lock in moisture, and make sure to ask your operator any questions if need be, that's what they are there for! (:
Can irish girls get tan?
sure !! But most with lots of effort and time ! Add the freckles on top of that ! Theoretically everybody can get a tan ! But how long does it take ? For a Spanish or Italian person they will in no time...typically , generally speaking, it will take a lot more time for an Irish person to get one and certainly almost never as dark anyway ! Their skin are not very good for protection against the sun in the first place. Hello skin cancer ! It depends on your genetic inheritage anyway. Some of my Irish relatives tan quite easily whilst I do not at all.. Pink , red, sunburnt, pain, flaking, white, start again..3 months later : light light tan..disappears in 2 days lol ! One looks like a Spanish guy actually and gets very dark very quickly. The rest , fair with the freckles ? they burn...!!! It is best to preserve your skin !!! I never go in the sun and not getting a tan doesn 't bother me ! I am not Irish myself but got the skin of some Northern ancestors and I am pink/white. My skin is definitely NOT made for the sun. Not everybody has the same amount of melanine !

Probably is embarrassing at first but it really is no big deal and it will make you feel good too.
Why do Westerners like being tan while Asians prefer being pale?
Skin tone is a proxy for socioeconomic status.In less developed nations, the poor generally have to work outdoors (like a farm, for example) and therefore develop darker skin. The wealthy in these countries, work indoors at 'desk jobs' and do not develop 'dark' skin. Darker skin symbolizes being poor.Conversely, in western countries a tan means that you have disposable income to take vacations into sunny climates or have free time away from a desk job to lay on the beach and get a tan. A tan symbolizes wealth.This also explains the social phenomena in Asian countries like China and Japan where women carry umbrellas on sunny days. Similarly, in India, getting tanned makes someone less valuable for marriage.The Black community also values fair skin and I'd imagine it has similar roots to what was explained previously and specifically slavery. Notorious BIG complained about his trouble with women because of beIng 'too black'. Likewise, in some of his other songs, he boasts about sleeping with fair skinned Black women.As a personal note, I avoid tanning like it is the plague. Every time my parents have seen me after getting a tan on a beach, I've been berated for becoming "too dark". I once asked my cousin about her very pretty friend (who happened to be "dark"), and my cousin replied: "Sundhoor hay, lekhen kali hay" -- meaning, she's pretty, but she's too dark.
Why do some black men chase white women?
I am a black man who will never date a white woman or any woman who looks white. It's not just how they look but how "gross" the contrast of "bright" with black features looks and the white culture. But I see so many black men humiliating themselves to get next to fat, racist white women only to be rejected. Why not just accept that white women aren't that great and don't want us? Why not go for other nonwhites(asians, latinas, etc)
