Do The Republicans Even Think Mr Obama Is Their President Or Do They Think Otherwise

Why do Republicans say that President Obama is arrogant?

A2A.Only those who do not understand strength of grace misinterpret his confidence as arrogance. Confidence recognizes confidence. Its like two frequencies in synch. Lack of self confidence creates feelings of intimidation when in the company of a self confident person. Those who appreciated his qualities found in them tremendous humility born of his experience that fortified his expression and compassion. But then, he wasn’t born into great wealth, nor was he a bully or spoiled brat as a child. He stands tall, his movements are elegant. He is intelligent when he speaks. He doesn’t act like a child throwing a tantrum or stand and shout out insults, with arms waving and his face bloated. He expressed respect for all people, even the ones who so viciously vowed to see him fail. He is miles above them in class. There was in him, actually something to respect and admire. Not so before him, or after him. He was a calm in the storm. He does not break when insulted, and tweet all night like a school girl. He has self restraint and the vision to scope out situations and understand what is called for as a response. He was therefore a worthy diplomat. He does not let emotions or ego diminish his expression. He is emotionally mature and responsible. And, he has a lovely sense of humor and wit. After 8 years of George W. with his floundering through a sentence while slumped over the podium like he was too drunk to stand up straight, his mispronounced words, ridiculous sentences, horrendous agenda, and moments of drawing a blank, It was a pleasure and an inspiration to watch Barack Obama. He has a heart. He has compassion. Arrogant men have neither. In other words, Obama did his job. The fact there was a party that lived to beat him down is despicable. But there you have it. The age old myth of light and dark…..almost to literal for a decent person to bear.Who knows what Obama was behind the scenes? He is a man as complicated as you or I. But what is important is he respected the people of this country enough to put his best foot forward on our behalf and when he spoke to us, it was of hope and unity, dreams fulfilled and peace. In other words, again, he did his job.So now we are back with a joker from Clown College.

Do you think that there will be another African American President again?

Definitely, it depends on a lot of factors, but probably within the next 50, 60 years there will be another black president. The racial demographic is largely one that is mixed into politics, there are black senators, representatives, mayors, etc.Race is not a primary factor in elections most of the time. People want to see your policies, your opinions, your history, your charisma, etc.Obama won because he was the most fit to become president (in the states/people’s eyes) He had rational policies, agreeable opinions, a completely clean record, a unique charisma.John Mcain or Mitt Romney could not compete with Barack Obama, very, very, very few people voted for Obama because he was half black. People voted for Obama because he was simply more fit for the position. Now, in the near future, things are a little blurred. The 2020 election will have Donald Trump looking for re-election.This makes the most likely African American candidate Ben Carson unlikely to even run, as he is republican, and the republicans will attempt to keep trump in office.Rip Ben CarsonThat being said, it will be probably 8 years from now until a popular black person announces a run for presidency. We will see one eventually, it has to be the right person, and at the right time.

Do you think Bill Clinton was a better president than Obama?

As a person who voted for obama for the first time in 2012 and was a kid when Clinton was president. I have to say yes. Bill Clinton had more of a personality then Barack obama and Clinton had the ability to win over just about anyone. He was also far more conservative then even some republicans and was able to get stuff through the republican controlled congress. Obama on the other hand while he has a lot of personality and is probably a lot more fun to be around just was too liberal for the republicans and even some democrats. Yes I understand the republicans blocked him on every move but at the same time. He wasn't willing and neither were the republicans willing to compromise with each other.I remember seeing an interview Eric Cantor former congressman from Virginia did last year for a frontline special on pbs.Eric told Obama a few days after he became president that republicans were willing to negotiate with him but there had to be some insensitive for them on any deal they made.Obama replied in a very rude tone. Look Eric I won the election and were doing things my way got it?Eric. Then said fine if your gonna be that way then we won't work with you.Obama then shrugged his shoulders as to say oh well.So one obama is at fault but so are republicans. They had enough of each other and did not want anything to do with each other.Bill Clinton on the other hand wanted to work with congress and put idea’s forward that he knew would pass and that most republicans would love.

Why do many Republicans believe Barack Obama was born in Kenya without evidence?

A 2016 poll puts the number of Republicans willing to go out on a limb and assert Obama was foreign born at 29%. I spent 8 years trying to figure out why. The question uses a significant phrase “without evidence.” Indeed, the rumors of a foreign-born Obama took off before there was any reason given (plausible or not) to think it was true.I think some of that is just a way for those Republicans with a palpable hatred of Obama to disrespect him either in what they choose to believe or what they will tell a pollster, irrespective of what they actually believe. It appears to me that the bulk of belief that Obama was born outside the US is based on the human flaw of confirmation bias. Republicans are generally against Obama and that makes them biased to believe any negative assertion about Obama, and to collect these assertions, to give credence to inexpert opinion on expert topics, and to pass on rumors without checking them. Certainly Donald Trump’s popularization of the theories and demands for Obama to release a long-form birth certificate revitalized belief in theories in 2011.There is evidence, all of which fell apart under scrutiny, given to support the foreign-born Obama theory, but those who are biased would not go to the trouble to seek out the debunking of that evidence that was done, or would write it off as propaganda from the Obama political machine. Some of it is sheer stupidity, evidenced by the fact that belief that Obama is foreign born is negatively correlated with the level of education.I have always been reluctant to put racism at the top of the list of reasons, but a black man being president of the United States is a heavy blow to racists (who are more likely to be Republican than Democrat), and belief in a foreign birth for Obama means to them that Obama was not really president, being ineligible. You see Internet posts to the effect that they believe that one day the Truth will come out and every act Obama made and every piece of legislation he signed will evaporate (wouldn’t work that way).

Is President Barack Obama the greatest president in U.S. history?

Either your sense of humor is great or your knowledge of recent history is pathetic. Here are the data for this statistically accurate conclusion.Obama does not make the top 25% or even top 50% of all Presidents in US history. On foreign policy: his results have been pathetic at best. The Middle East is a total shambles under his non leadership; Isis has grown nearly unchecked; and our relationship with any adversarial state has worsened. The Obama foreign policy doctrine: Oh, I'm so sorry for anything the USA did anytime in history and this country is no better than any other country. The economy under Obama was pathetic and anemic. We had the lowest home ownership rate since 1940. The labor participation rate at 62% of eligible workers is horrendous. Race relationships in his 8 years has been set back two decades. The Democratic Party during Obama's tenure was left in shambles. In the 8 years of Obama, 1041 positions held by the Democrats are now held by Republicans. When Obama came into office there were 28 Democratic Governors there are now 16; now 64% Republican. The number of representatives in the house is the lowest since 1932. For the second time since 1928, the Republican party holds the House, Senate, and the Presidency. In his 8 years in the White House, he was mostly liked by most people; including those whose disagreed with his policies. Another fact: while he was liked, an outstanding 72% of the citizens felt the country was heading in the wrong direction; 72% under his watch! Now look at the recent Revelations from Donna Brazile and the Democratic National Committee. Obama left the DNC in a financially abandoned position which allowed for the Takeover by hillary. Obama was the steward of the DNC and he abandoned them like a redheaded stepchild. One aspect he did very well. For a short time, he was a college instructor in Constitutional law. While in office, the US Supreme Court overturned actions of his 16 times UNANIMOUSLY. He presumably knew the Constitution yet he did not allow any knowledge to be an obstacle to what he wanted.Where has Obama done well? There is one day that stands above the rest. The day: the morning of January 20, 2016. Yes, the morning this failed President became the ex-president.Counter points are welcomed. As for Platitudes and other dribble - save your hate for one why relishes the ignorant who has nothing of merit to contribute.

What should we think about Jon Stewart when he called President Barack Obama "dude"?

Like another respondent here, I'm an old-fashioned Republican (possibly an older-fashioned Republican, since it's difficult for me to see the modern-day GOP as genuinely "Republican" anymore), and certainly would err on the side of calling the President "Mister President."That said, given a lot of the rhetoric to come out of the GOP these days, I think "Dude" is a lot more respectful than "Socialist," "Kenyan," "Communist," "Nazi," or any of a number of clearly false epithets that we've been hearing out of that side of the aisle. The United States has always had a tradition of not elevating its leaders too highly. After all, we could have been required by law to address the President as "Your Excellency," but Americans don't tend to go in for that. "Mister President" is about right: there's a formality there, certainly, but not an inaccessibility. On the other hand, it is refreshing to have a president who, as another respondent said, is capable of having a "relaxed, honestly funny conversation without titles flying around." Presidents have always been people under extraordinary pressures, and we've had presidents who have been in that role and have behaved like prima donnas. Far better to have a relaxed president who is still capable of being human, of kicking back, of being someone one might actually want to have a conversation with if given the opportunity. That said, I think it was clear that Stewart was in "comedic mode" at that moment, and it was clear that the remark was not in any way a poke at Obama, but a dig at his predecessor who did use that phrase ("heck of a job") in such an unfortunate context. The president clearly understood that, and no offense was intended, given, or taken. And isn't that better than a president who would have bristled at the address and sharply corrected the host?

If Barack Obama had previously served in our Armed Forces and still rose up to become President, would his patriotism and citizenship still be questioned?

A2AI normally wouldn’t touch a question like this one with a ten foot pole but…You must understand one key fact. The Republican party is about one thing and one thing only, money. Everything else, everything is a distraction. Notice I said the Republican party. The Party doesn’t care about abortion. Just watch what happens the instant a Republican’s mistress gets pregnant. The Party works tirelessly to destroy Unions to deprive workers of protections. The Party works to further employment “at will” to deprive workers of protections. The Party has worked very hard to convince Americans that not everyone deserves medical care, that in fact, medical care is only for those that deserve it. This despite dozens of countries that have demonstrated otherwise, some for almost a century! The Party works to keep minimum wage down to increase corporate profits. The Party just gave the largest gift to the rich and corporations in our history. Yet, they’ve convinced many Americans it was a tax break despite the fact that many lower income families are actually paying higher taxes. The party works continuously to shift tax burden from the rich and powerful to the poor and powerless. The party works to instill hatred and fear within out society.Rather than properly funding schools, they would rather lock up minorities in prisons.Rather than properly funding schools, they would rather champion private schools that most people cannot hope to afford. Oh they offer vouchers, but the instant the budget needs to be balanced, guess who will get the shaft. They manufacture the belief that all Democrats want to repeal the second amendment. They manufacture the belief that all Democrats want to repeal the first amendment while they work diligently to limit the first amendment. They support freedom of speech provided it’s their speech, otherwise it’s lies and fake news. They support freedom of religion provided it’s their chosen religion. The list could go on for volumes. The key point is that the Republican party, in truth has absolutely NOTHING to offer regular Americans. They are all smoke and mirrors, misdirection and lies. They would have leveled just as much hatred and venom at Barack Obama regardless of the color of his skin. The fact that he was African American was just a bonus for them.
