Do You Agree That How People Treat Animals And Servers Says A Lot About Their Real Personality

Anyone have any waiter/waitress stereotypes?

Oh yes, waitress speak:

"Smoking or non?"

"Have we decided what we're going to have?"

"Just the two of you?"

"Everything taste okay?"

"I'll take that up when you're ready"

How can I be a great server?

I am training to be a server at a restaurant. I went to a different part of the restaurant this week and at the end of my shift, the management said they expect a lot out of me when they start me serving again. My question to you is what do you think makes a good server? Do you like someone who just does the job and minds their own business, or someone who is outgoing and talkative to you? Do you like a server who gets things like refills without being asked, or do you prefer they ask you. I have done serving before with little mistake, but I need to really impress the management this time. Any adcive and tips welcome!

Thanks!

Do you think dog personality/temperament is more environment or genetics?

When my puppy first came home, I had very serious doubts about his temperament and personality as a show dog and family pet. I mean serious enough that I called his breeder and told her if he didn't shape up I was sending him back. Since then, he has absolutely blossomed into an amazing puppy, very stable and solid. As a six month old puppy, we took our first road trip in the RV, and he weathered it without a single issue. Nothing phases this guy!

I believe getting him out of the home he was in was instrumental in his turn around. Conversely...

The breeder kept two puppies, one puppy is now a neutered pet and he is a very sweet and well adjusted boy. The female, however, is now set to be spayed and placed in a different home because she attacked a little girl. No blood but some serious bruising. So, in the same environment two dogs have very obviously not had the same experience.

So, in your opinion, which is it?

Why do poor people have so many pets?

Okay, due some renting and volunteer activities that I am in, I have to deal with people who are essentially destitute. One thing that always strikes me is even when they can't feed themselves or their children, they decide they need multiple pets. A bunch of cats is the most popular. I don't get it...are they against having a dollar in their pocket or is it because they think that just as plumbing and electricity are essential in a house, that a bunch of animals crapping inside your home is extremely important? Or is it because they particularly like that delicate blend of urine and fecal matter filling the house, and clinging to their clothes as a their own special perfume?

You can learn a great deal about someone's character by the way they treat their server. What are some similar behaviors than can act as a quick indicator of character?

The way people drive can tell you volumes about who they are and how they deal with people and how they operate in general. Other ways to learn a person's character is to listen to how they talk about other people and emotional situations, listen for apologies and admitting wrongdoing and whether they're genuine or blame-shifting, don't discount the little things (like, if the cashier accidentally gives them an extra 50¢, do they return it or keep it?).

Complete this sentence: You can tell a lot about a person...?

by asking him questions about him.People generally do not talk to people, and then, based solely on apperance, make judgements which are, in all probability, fa from the truth. Understand that people are not what they look. And they definitely are not how they portray themselves to be. Most of the people go around wearing masks to hide their true selves - some for the sake of protection (burly looking, intimidating guys who actually cry while watching When Harry met Sally or 50 First Dates), others to hide their emotional turmoil (businessman in a impeccable suit, smiling and greeting all his colleagues, whilst secretly crying on the inside because of his impending divorce from the woman he loved the most), and some more to merge into the crowd (sociopaths, murderers trying to mingle with the society to hide their true face). Things are not what you see. Probe a little further before making any judgements about the person's personality. (Except in the case of sociopaths. In such cases, it is best recommended to keep a safe distance).
