Do You Believe Voters Want Illegals To Be Allowed To Become Citizens Of This Country

SHOULD ILLEGAL ALIENS be allowed to vote in any elections?

its not ethical. BUT THEIR VOTES DID count in donald trump presidential election.

Should illegal aliens be allowed to vote in the US Presidential elections?

Should illegal aliens be allowed to vote in the US Presidential elections? What a bizarre idea. Not even legal aliens can vote, and there’s at least a decent argument for allowing them to do so, since they have to obey the laws. But illegal immigrants are by definition fugitives from the law, and simply by registering to vote they would be informing the government where they live, and thus where they can be found for deportation. Someone who has no legal right to be here at all, can’t legally have an address from which to vote.

Should illegal immigrants be allowed to vote?

No. They're not citizens. They're not entitled to vote in American elections, nor should they ever be allowed. If we permit illegal aliens to vote, we ought to allow the entire world's population to vote as well, because it would be no different.

Why can't LEGAL ALIENS vote?

READ ALL THE DETAILS, PLEASE!

All 50 states currently allow only citizens to vote. This seems extremely arbitrary. EVERYONE, citizens and aliens alike, are required to pay taxes, obey the law, and sign up for selective service. So it makes sense that non-citizens should be allowed to vote. All 50 states and the federal government are republics. Republics derive their authority to govern from the governed, because the ultimate right to rule rests in the governed. (John Locke's idea)

LEGAL ALIENS are people in the United States that are in the country because the government has given those people permission to stay. This permission takes the form of a VISA or a PERMANENT RESIDENT CARD. The length of stay on a VISA depends on what the VISA was issued for. (Work, education, tourists, etc) PERMANENT RESIDENT CARDS last for 10 years. These cards are issued to VISA holders who apply for them because they already have or intend to settle in the United States.

These non-citizens who have settled in the US, and those who come to get an education are the ones who would most benefit from voting rights, because they are subject to the law as much as any citizen is, so by Lockean ideas, they should have the right to vote. Tourists are only here for a temporary amount of time, so they don't need the right to vote.

ILLEGAL ALIENS are those who are in the country without the permission of the government. Either they don't have the permission to stay, or their permission to stay has expired. They should not be allowed to vote, period. That would be unfair for the LEGAL ALIENS. My advice for them would be to go back from where they came, and come here legally with a VISA.

I have taken the time to explain the use CAPS LOCK, explain the status quo, and the DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LEGAL AND ILLEGAL ALIENS.

I DO NOT WANT ANY ARBITRARY ANSWERS. SUPPORT WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY. NOR ANY MENTION OF ILLEGAL ALIENS. THIS ABOUT LEGAL ALIENS ONLY!

If you don't get the difference between ILLEGAL AND LEGAL ALIENS, or you don't know what "arbitrary" means, look it up! If you still don't get it, then don't answer!

Illegals-Why do you deserve american citizenship?

yet another person saying they deserve citizenship because theyve been here working for a long time.
they pay taxes? how exactly does an illegal pay taxes? they have no ss card, they have no legal form of identification. you say they pay taxes, yet you have absolutely no proof to back this up, in fact, the LAWS show you they CANT pay taxes.
oh i get it, they steal someones identification, then they pay taxes on it...
well, there ya go, one more crime they do.
breaking and entering, identity theft, tax evasion... the list keeps growing... and you want to give these people amnesty... thast unbelievably foolish.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,I lift my lamp beside the golden door"
and writes in with a bic pen
"send us your criminals, your law breakers, your people who dont want to sacrafice, just take things from others"

Are illegal immigrants allowed to vote in any state in the US?

While they might not be technically ‘allowed’ to vote, many already do so across the country. This is especially true in those states where people who get a new drivers license are automatically registered to vote - like California. With a state issued ID (drivers license) and being registered, they simply show up at a poling booth and vote.If you are a LEGAL Immigrant, Welcome! My best friends immigrated from Romania, fearing for their lives when they fled during the communist reign. They stood in line for seven years to become citizens. These legal immigrants want to integrate and become GOOD citizens. Illegal aliens, usually don’t want to fully assimilate, cost the tax-payers billions of dollars each year and commit serious crimes at 4–6 times the rate that US Citizens do. Legal immigrants only commit serious crimes at 1/4 to 1/3 the rate that US Citizens do. I for one - would MUCH rather have LEGAL immigrants in my neighborhood than Illegal Aliens. Wouldn’t you also??

Should undocumented immigrants be allowed to vote?

For what it's worth, I'm a (100% legal) immigrant from Canada to the U.S., and do not have American citizenship yet.I think that all residents, regardless of citizenship, ought to be able to vote in local (city, county, school board, etc.) elections with only proof of residence. Proof of residence might be hard to get for an illegal immigrant, and can even be a pain for a legal one (speaking from experience), but it's a reasonable minimum. The stakes for local elections are generally lower, and representation more skewed by the presence of immigrants than at larger scales.I think that only citizens should be able to vote at the state and federal level. At this level the stakes are higher and immigrant voting could in theory compromise sovereignty.Either way, this question ("Should undocumented immigrants be allowed to vote?") has overtones of the fight over voter ID laws, which are generally designed as partisan measures by Republicans to depress largely Democratic voters. On that subject, we should consider the question "Should 'undocumented' citizens be disenfranchised?" On that point the answer is almost certainly "no".

As a nationalist, do you believe illegal immigrants have the right to vote?

I’m not a nationalist, whatever that is. I am an American citizen whose ancestors came of the Mayflpwer and participated in every war fought on Colonial and American soil. My ancestors include founding fathers who drafted the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution. I believe in the rule of law.One of the precepts of the Constitution is that citizens have the right to vote. for their representatives. That isn’t debatable. It is a right guaranteed by law to people born here or who have become naturalized citizens. It is not a right of anyone else.Unless the Constitution is amended to take the vote away from citizens and/or given to anybody else, including illegals, that’s not going to change. This is a sovereign nation. I hope it stays that way for my children’s sake. Otherwise, hundreds of years of a shining beacon of freedom to the world will go the way of every other social experiment in world history.
