She shot me down, should I take it personal?
Last week, I hung out with a girl I really like at her house. I also got to meet her best friend. The hang out went well, and I even got the best friend's approval. Before we hung out, we were texting frequently for a couple days, and even the next couple days after we hung out. Everything was running really smooth. We hadn't talked in a few days, so tonight I sent her a text saying I was thinking about her and wanted to say goodnight. I also told her I wanted to take her out this Friday and I enjoyed seeing her last week. She then said she really appreciated the gesture, but her boyfriend wouldn't be okay with that. When we hung out, I knew she was with a guy, but under the impression they were under rough circumstances. I wasn't surprised by her response. My actual question is; Did she turn me down because she isn't into me, or because of her boyfriend? Is it me, or the circumstances she's involved with? Should I try again later? If so, how long should I wait? If things were not to work out, do I have any potential chance at all? I knew what I was getting into beforehand, so I'm not shocked this happened. The only thing that comforts me, is that she had the audacity to actually respond in a kind manner, rather than completely ignoring me. But I really could use some words of wisdom and questions answered. Thanks everyone!
