Why do we find dogs pretty?
That’s a very subjective question; everybody has their own preferences and opinions and attitudes.In general, my personal theory is the regardless of your personal bias dogs are appealing simply because most of them are soft and generally happy. Humans love happy things and a well cared for canine is one of the happiest creatures on the planet.
How to get my dog to "sit pretty."?
Learning tricks is different for every dog. My lab learned to sit pretty quickly and does it everytime I have a treat. My Aussie on the hand refuses to lift her paws off the ground. For your dog I would suggest continuing doing it the way you are. When you have him in the air with your arm, remove your arm and quickly give him a treat while saying sit pretty. It'll probably take some time but he'll get it eventually. Good luck!

Don't beat yourself up about it. Give yourself credit for trying to find a better way, We all do things we shouldn't but trying to learn from the mistake shows that you do care and that you are not an abusive person. Hitting a dog has been proven to backfire most of the time. One reason it fails is because it causes the dog to fear its owner, the one person it should trust the most. It also can lead to the dog not trusting humans in general which can lead eventually to an aggressive dog. There are a few things you can try. I know the term "positive reinforcement" can sound unrealistic to some. But, it can be as simple as redirecting your dog's focus. Ex; if he's chewing on a sock, you firmly, but calmly tell him "No! this is Mommy's" and after a few minutes give him one of his toys and say, "play with your baby". Don't reward him right away or he will think he gets attention when he chews on your things and will continue to do this. Instead, be firm with him and try not to show him your frustration. He will understand you not playing with him for a few minutes better than he will if you get angry and yell at him. Also, when you see him doing things you want him to, reward him with attention and praise. I hope some of this helps. Be patient with yourself also. I know watching a puppy do something you've corrected him for several times can be frustrating. I've had to walk away to a different room before to collect myself after taking a shoe from my dog before just so I wouldn't scream directly at him. Forgive yourself if you loose it once in a while and feel good about yourself when you succeed. It will take time for you to be successful at controlling your emotions but it will get easier with time and you will be happier and proud of yourself and your dog. Good Luck, K

Her and the Dog, have mad wonderful strides in their life. They have overcame drug habits themselves to make their life a better one. I sometimes think that their program is staged though. As for would I do I find her atrractive ,I dont think so.

I'm a guy and I've always been sexually/romantically attracted to girls, never guys. But sometimes I think some guys look "cute", and I don't mean the "Oh he's cute I'd date him" sort of thing, it's more like how you would find some dog cute, etc. I definitely don't want to kiss guys or do anything with them, is this weird?
Why is it that I never stop finding my dog cute even though I’ve seen it for years?
Because dogs are insanely adorable. Puppies even more so. But it just so happens you have one that you've grown attached to. That automatically makes it cuter than all of the others out there.For example, I know there is a lot of pretty girls out there. But if you ask me, my baby sister, who is 3 and I've seen almost every single day, is the prettiest of them all. Hands down. No competition. I'll fight anyone who says otherwise.Just kidding. I won't. Maybe.But she's cute and ridiculously adorable. And day after day I'll wake up to this being true. The same goes for your dog. Just because you see it every day doesn't stop making it cute. The more you learn about it and grow closer to it, the more adorable it can become.

Oh my gosh! Yes!! i thought my dog was the only one!!! She kind of sounds like a pokemon when she yawns its soooooooooo cute!!!

Dogs are actually not that visually oriented. A huge portion of their working brain is actually dedicated to their olfactory sense. I took a class on bacteria once and the teacher said that humans were one of the most smelly species on the planet. Dogs like smelly things. You do the math.
