Do You Go Shopping With Your 2 - 3 Year Old

Do you go shopping with your 2 - 3 year old?

You know how they say it's the "terrible 2's", and they are still 'terrible' at 3. I have a friend who won't go shopping if she has no one to babysit her 3 year old. Another friend who does and some sales people are really kind and playfulish with her 3 year old but then she's encountered (mostly old women) who wont take their eyes off her son and give him and my friend a mean look. One time he was slightly waving a long dress in its place and she (old sales woman) told her in a mean way "you shouldn't let your son do that, those dresses are expensive". I'm pregnant expecting my 1st and am wondering how hard its going to be to shop with children that age. I mean of course you won't let them break anything but in cases where he only slightly waved the dress you dont want to yell at him angerly and talking to them doesn't always work because their attention is drawn to touch and feel the material. You cant handcuff them either! Its sad you cant take them out with you to avoid confl

2 year old fell out of shopping cart?

I agree with mother intinct if she's acting normal she should be fine. And that sounds like something my son would say. Kids are tough she'll be ok.

When shopping for a used car, should a 2- or 3-year-old car with very low mileage be a concern?

It could be very good, but you want to look inside the valve covers for sludge and take a look at the oil for the same.Low mileage that is used a a mile or two a day is bad and accumulates moisture and sludge. My office is 2 miles away, but I compensate with frequent trips to other places.Low mileage from once or twice a week 20 mile trips is great. In 1964 I bought a very low mileage car in excellent shape from a little old lady minister who used it on Wednesdays and Sundays.Likewise very high mileage cars can be great values as they are usually highway miles. I once had 60 to 90 miles a day to work. The company replaced the cars every 45000 miles, so every couple of years I bought one of my 1 year old cars (for my wife) that had 45000 miles on it at 55 mph.

Is shopping alone at the mall weird for a 14 year old?

Not at all. I'm fourteen and I shop alone all the time, the thing is I don't go to those expected teenage stores like Wetseal or Delias, Hollister, ect. I go to H&M, Express, F21, ect so I get a lot of stares from the employees, they probably think I'll steal something because I'm alone so they always expect I'm up to no good lol. But yeah, it's no weird at all and I think it's much better to shope alone so things are faster and you actually do get shopping done. With friends, you're always force to rush or wait too long.

My 3 year old daughter fell from shopping cart can i sue walmart?

I'm sorry to hear about your daughter. As far as sueing Walmart over this, your best bet will be to talk to a lawyer. There is too much involved for anyone to guide you on this correctly. You have the seatbelt issue and the available carts that may have had working seat belts. You have to prove she was sitting properly, with in arms reach and watched by you the entire time (mainloy at the time of the fall).
Did you call an ambulance from the store and how did the staff react....did they get a manager to you etc?
Be quick because they may have to get the tapes from that day/time of that area to view (the lawyer).

I would think you should be able to get her medical bills paid....all medical bills for the fall there. Be grateful she is alright and it wasn't anything worse, though it sounds pretty bad with the bumps and bruises.

A thought, get a larger belt to loop through the serat and around her, keep in your car/purse so if there are no seatbelts you have something you can use.

I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old and I hate going grocery shopping with them?

I know how you feel i have a 3 year old a 2 year old and a 1 year old i have to take shopping with me, and as my husband is in the army he's not always here to help me come shoping or stay at home and watch them. I get a trolly with 2 seats for the younger 2 and let my 3 year old walk and help me pick out my shopping. I also avoid shopping on days when i know the supermarket will be busy and choose to shop on line if i really need stuff.

If you are out shopping with your young child in their stroller, and you go through the checkout, and pay for your goods. When almost home, you notice your child has an item you did not pay for, what do you do?

That happened to me. I was at Nordstrom's looking for a new wallet, didn't find anything but liked and left. In the elevator, I saw my son, a year old, playing with a very ugly wallet. I brought it back and the staff was courteous and understanding. When my son was a little older, about four, I took him to Staples with me. As we passed the paperclip bins, he took a bunch and put them in his pocket. I discovered them that night when getting him ready for a bath. I told him it was wrong to steal. The next day, I brought him back to Staples and asked to see the manager. The guy was an idiot - he laughed when I told him what happened. I glared at him and explained that I was trying to teach a valuable lesson. He finally got it together and told my son to not steal from his store or any store.Worse, when my son was about 9 months old, I walked to the store with him in his stroller. The stroller had a basket underneath to put groceries and what have you. Wine was on sale, so I put one red and one white, then continued my shopping. When I got to the checkout my son was being fussy and I put my stuff up, paid for it and went home. The wine bottles were in the front, and when I got home and tipped the stroller to get it up on the porch, the bottles of wine I had completely forgotten about rolled out and promptly smashed to smithereens. Karma.

Is it weird to go shopping for clothes with your mom?

I am 15 and I still go shopping with my mom for my clothes. Since I have 4 other kids in my family and we only get clothes 2-3 times a year, my mom takes us all at once. Since she has the money, drives me there, and pays for the clothes, I don't really care. But I just wanted to know if it is weird.

Please HELP: How much to budget for back to School Shopping for 12 Year old girl going into 7th grade?

My 12 year old daughter is going into 7th grade and I fear imminent bankruptcy due to her tastes in clothing. She says it is what everybody is wearing. I guess everyone is extremely wealthy to do all of their shopping at Pacsun and Wet Seal. $35 - $45 dollars for a t-shirt?

How much are you budgeting, how many new outfits do you expect to get? Do you have any tips for me? I really feel like I’m failing when it comes to the needs of PRE-TEEN style. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
