What a race!!... Your thoughts on the Chevy Rock and Roll 400? ?

Jr vs. Busch---I think it was just racing, but it was interesting to see Kyle Busch come back from that incident and the other minor crash after to finish 15th.

Tony vs. Johnson---I know Tony was frustrated but Johnson did beat him off pit road and both their pit crews were great, Johnson’s just a little faster and Johnson had just a little faster car.

David Ragan----I kind of wanted to see him in the 12th spot of the chase but oh well. He tried and had fun doing it and almost made it. He has had a good season so far even though he did not make the chase.

Jeff Gordon---the guy is an amazing driver probably the best out there he has just had crap luck, no fault to his driving. He made it into the chase and I think things will start picking up for him.

Kevin Harvick---I think he put too much in at the beginning and had not enough at the end. He still did ok.

After Thoughts—I don’t really like Boyer so I am blah on that subject. I think it will be interesting to see Edwards, Busch and Johnson battling it out (don’t forget Gordon though he can sneak up real fast and he is consistent—I just think he’s being careful)..Yes the Kyl. Busch and Earnhardt thing should be interesting.

In conclusion, I thought that Richmond was one of the best cup races I have seen all year. I guess I am happy about who made the chase to. It was just nice to see some real racing on Sunday!

Why do People Admire Celebrities so Much?

i don't know. we should be admiring our astronauts and researchers looking for a cure for cancer. then maybe people would want to be them and we'd actually benefit society.

i mean, i love movies and music, but it is a little weird. i think a large majority of movie stars probably don't want to be photographed every second. but then it's the fault of ordinary people who buy the magazines. i don't know. it's messed up for sure.

i like the celebrities that use their fame to put the attention on some important things. but i don't like when they get free stuff. the richest members of society should not be getting free stuff when we have tons of people who are losing their homes. i mean, i'm all for a free world, but seriously. and that's the fault of the people that give it away.

oh well. the world is strange. =]

but as for why we read this stuff? it's a distraction from our otherwise mundane lives. oh gosh now i sound like a cynic. but like right now? i should be working on some calculus, and instead i'm doing this and looking up world news. weird. it's because i'm a procrastinator. i'd rather focus on other people's problems than my own. but i read an interview or something once where prince william or prince harry said something about how they try to not have sycophants hanging aroung but it's hard. so i feel especially bad for people that don't ask for it. like royalty and jk rowling. a scottish lady i talked to over the summer said that she has to employ security for her daughter to deter kidnappers, and that's sad.

Most people would like to live a life like Actors and date beautiful actresses (and non-actresses). That’s why Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor are popular. Since they date the girls you love - Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone, and so on. They create their story, you fall in love with what they wear, how they talk, they set your dream afloat!Fans first understand what you do and then like what you do. Fans want to live the life you live. So, some brainy people may put up the poster of Einstein in their roomRock Stars have an even bigger base like Michael Jackson, Prince, Justin Bieber, Elvis Presley, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Miley Cyrus, Mariah Carey and so onSportsmen have an equally big fan base like Maradonna, Pele, Neymar, Messi, Van Persie, David Beckham, Roger Federer, Tiger Woods, Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Usain Bolt, and the list goes onEven in India Mahendra Singh Dhoni , Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar. Virat’s dating of Anushka spiralled his fan base into space. You want to be that cricketer, don’t you?Sometimes Political Leaders develop a fan following in the way Mahatma Gandhi did, or Jayaprakash Narayan did. Even Margaret Thatcher, Nelson MandelaSometimes business leaders also develop a fan base, like Steve Jobs, Lee Iacocca and now Mark Zuckerberg.Even Religious and Spiritual Leaders have a huge fan base like Dalai Lama, Baba Ramdev, Sri Sri Ravi ShankarSamaritans and Social Do-Gooders also develop a fan base like Mother Teresa, Anna HazareYou’ll notice one thing in common - you fall in love with people who dedicate whole of their life to one cause. Can you do that? I would love to stick your poster on my cupboard!Go! Do some good! Set some dreams alive! You can upvote and share this answer if you like it.

What is the synonym for the word fans?

admirers
buffs
devotees
enthusiasts
partisans
followers
supporters
champions
boosters
advocates
proponents

.

I am not the right person to answer this question, as I never had "lots of fans" and "large groups". Sometimes some people do follow me when they believe that I can help them in eliminating their uncertainty. That puts on me a burden of responsibility, making me working harder than I would otherwise do. The question would rather apply to celebrities who have fans for no good reason except for being made widely known through public media. I, however, could give an idea of how it might feel like. At some point I was working as an IT guy for a hotel. One morning, when I came to work, I've noticed some very familiar people standing at the receptionist's counter. My first temptation was to approach them and say hello. I stopped it, however, because I could not recall how I know the guys and what are their names. So I quietly approached the receptionist and asked her whether she knows who they are. She said: "But of course, they are the major performers in the XYZ TV show". Ops! I've got the lesson. When you know someone, it doesn't mean that the one knows you. Now imagine how you would feel if [every day] many people (without the inner stopper), who you never seen before, would approach you and speak as if you were their old friend. Now imagine how you would feel if you approach your old friend, and (s)he gives you no single sign of recognition. That's, probably, how it feels on both sides.

Give me the best def. of the word fan?

•strike out (a batter), (of a pitcher)
•make (an emotion) fiercer; "fan hatred"
•a device for creating a current of air by movement of a surface or surfaces
•agitate the air
•sports fan: an enthusiastic devotee of sports
•winnow: separate the chaff from by using air currents; "She stood there winnowing chaff all day in the field"
•an ardent follower and admirer

uhh my own words??

I am a fan of you or I am a fan of yours?

You have been saying it wrong. It should be "I'm a fan of yours."

There is no blame attached to making mistakes. Actually, the usage is a little inconsistent and illogical. We would say:

I am a fan of Little Richard. [not of Little Richard's]
BUT
I am a fan of his.

She is a disciple of Noam Chomsky. [not of Noam Chomsky's]
BUT
She is a disciple of his.

She is a friend of mine.
They are admirers of hers.
We are supporters of theirs.

I am a devotee of classical music.
BUT NOT:
I am a devotee of its.
