Do You Have To Be An Officer In The Air Force In Order To Wear The High Collar Style Dress Uniforms

Why do some Star Wars imperial officers have different color uniforms. (Black and Gray)?

For the best answers, search on this site https://shorturl.im/avUe6

Imperial Stormtroopers and Republic Clone Troopers are NOT the same. The Clone Troopers were all variations of the same person, Jango Fett. When they were "made" the Clones had two things added to their DNA. Order 66 was one of them. It was basically "hardwired" into their DNA that when they were told to execute Order 66 it caused them to see all Jedi as the enemy. The other thing was a shortened life span. The clones only had a life span of 15 to 20 years. How was Boba Fett still alive if the clones had a shortened life span ... glad you asked ... because if you remember Boba was a "unaltered" clone. That means he didn't have those two things added to his DNA so he would live a normal life span. Stormtroopers were recruited, volunteers, and conscripts from various worlds in the galaxy. There were a few clones still alive at the time of the OT movies but most had died either in battle or of their DNA shortened life span. May The Force Be With You ... .

As per my knowledge, it indicates something equivalent to flag ranks in defence forces :IPS officers get black strip on and above DIG rank which is equivalent to Brigadier in army and is one star rank. Above that is IG and Add DG which are equivalent to Major General and Lt Gen(HAG) and are two and three star ranks respectively.Ex:Maj Gen Mrinal Suman, IAandDr. C. Sylendra Babu, IPS, IG, TN policeandRajnikant Mishra, IPS, IG, South Bengal Frontier, BSFEdit : A reader is saying that DIG is equivalent to colonel in army and not Brigadier. I would kindly want to differ with proof. Here is a screen-shot from J&K govt order of precedence (As army and police are working in close there, it will be an ideal example. Also, central OOP doesn’t go beyond J-Sec rank.)Link : http://jkhome.nic.in/Warrant%20o...

What do you wear on the Army white dress shirt with class A uniform to evening social event?

You don't wear a white shirt with a class A uniform. If you are wearing a white shirt in your green uniform, you are in the green dress uniform, not the class A uniform. Anyway, no one will see your shirt, so nothing goes on it. There is no "class B dress uniform."

(Assuming green service uniform chapter of AR 670-1 hasn't been ALARACTed into irrelevance like every other chapter.)

If the stripes are on the collar or high on the arm (below the shoulder) then they are indicative of rank. 3 Stripes = Sergeant, E-5 in the US Army & Marine Corps; Senior Airman, E-4 in the Air Force. In the US Navy, if the stripes are white, the rank is “Seaman”, E-3. If they are red, Petty Officer FirstClass, E-6.If the stripes are worn on dress uniforms on the sleeve of the forearm, those will represent either Service Stripes (on left sleeve) and each stripe represents four years of service. If the stripes are on the right sleeve of the forearm, those are overseas service stripes. Each stripe represent 6 months of overseas service.

No, they don't. Every airline has its own uniforms for their pilots, although they do seem to follow a certain "format", introduced in the 1930s by Pan Am. At that time, Pan Am flew flying boats, and passengers have their pilots in sight practically for the whole flight. What the pilots wore? Some sort of WWI style uniform, not what passengers would really want to see their pilot wear. Pan Am then issued their pilots uniforms similar to sea skippers/naval officers. This was to make their pilots look more "professional", and thus make passengers more confident and comfortable with the trip. Pan Am became a very successful airline, and hoping to emulate Pan Am's success, other airlines started issuing pilots similar uniforms, and it is now considered an "industry standard". Lots of airlines now though, allow their pilots to "customise" their uniform, such as wearing leather jackets instead of blazers.Anyway, as I have said before, pilots of every airline have different uniforms, here are some pictures.Air Canada - black double-breasted blazer with gold rank stripesAmerican Airlines - Navy blue with white rank stripesBritish Airways - Midnight blue with silver rank stripesJetblue - As you can see, it's all blue.Southwest - This wasn't a permanent uniform if I'm not mistaken, but still quite interesting.Virgin Atlantic - I gather she'd have to take off her high heels before entering the cockpit (I may be wrong).

I may be Navy, but this is pretty standard across the board.Digi's- Usually 3 sets of camo. These do not include special uniforms like the Navy's Type 2 until after you complete a specific tech or A-school, in which case you will get 3 of those as well. You will also get 2 covers per type of digisService uniform- Navy gets two, and I'm fairly certain airforce also gets 2, so I will say 2–3 of those. Usually one service cover is issuedDress uniform-Navy has seasonal dress, so we have two white, and one blue. I would say most other branches have 1 type, and they may issue 2 of those. You may get 1–2 covers for that uniform, or it may be interchangeable with your branches service uniforms cover.Others- Navy gets two sets of coveralls, because we wear those whenever we are underway. You may get a utilities uniform that does a similar role. Most branches also have a dinner dress uniform, but these are not issued unless you are in some sort of parade unit, and are not required to have until you are a certain rank, about E-5 or E-6. There are also countless accessories to each uniform issued. Winter gear is almost always issued, with some exception, for example Navy does not issue you your peacoat unless you go through basic during winter (they are replacing the peacoat, so I imagine the equivalent coat will be issued the same way). This should cover it. When you are deployed you will probably only have to bring certain uniforms with you, but your primary duty station will always require every uniform issued available on demand, hence the constant inspections.

Why do Navy sailors' uniforms look so unappealing?

I would love to know the same thing, and to why we look like Marines. If I wanted to look like a Marine, I'd BE a Marine. If you see the camo, you will run. Seriously...why do we need to wear camo on a ship? (however camo is very comfortable...)

As for our dress uniforms, those are tradition. In the 60s, the Navy tried to get sailors to wear something like the Army, Marines, and Air Force were wearing. The amount of criticism from current and retired sailors was unbelievable, so they backed down and returned to the current dress uniforms. Rumor has it, they will be slightly modifying them, ie to make the male dress blue uniform less uncomfortable in the groin region by making it a simple button with the 13 buttons hanging as decoration. They are also talking about making the whites mirror the blues. The word is the white uniforms looked too much like the Japanese during World War 2, so they removed a few stuff from it to keep us different from them.

As a sailor, I love the dress uniforms. I hate some of the aspects of it, ie maintenance, the groin region of the dress blues, but its makes us look awesome. Its what seperates us from the other services. We have 2 dress uniforms, they have one.

As for looking professional and menacing? We are sailors. You will not see us, only hear and feel us. You will only recognize us by our ship name, not by individual acts of courage. A ship is a team, and the results of that ship are the result of the ships crew who made it happen. For the longest time we looked like janitors. But who cares? You can't see us, and theres a reason why those are called shipboard uniforms. When we're out in public, all our uniforms are professional looking in my opinion.

Is it disrespectful to wear dog tags (US Army) outside of your shirt?

How does a person who hasn't graduated high school get in the military and how does such a person get enough leave to go back to finish high school? Is he in ROTC or something? Not that it matters that still doesn't give him any reason to tell you what to do.

I don't see anything wrong with wearing your grand father's dog tag. No one should have any reason to be offended by that especially in high school.

@ Devil Pup

He wants people to know that he's proud of his grand father's military service, that's hardly a "doushebag" thing to do...insulting people is, though.
