Do You Idea For A Fictional Band In A Story

I wanna write a fictional story about a fictional rock band?

I think you have a wonderful idea. I haven't heard of another book with that idea, but even if there is one, so what? Your story will be unique because it comes from you. (There are very few, if any, completely original plots out there, anyway.)

What is a cool name for a fictional town?

Pickleton, NJ
Scarlet Rapids, KS
Kaiserville, FL
Willowgate, AL
Fire Island, AK
Peachwood, NE
Robber's Cove, MI
No Name, CO

That last place is actually real, as far as I know. :D

What are the best songs by fictional bands?

“What is the best song ever performed by a fictional band?”Konya wa Hurricane (There's a Hurricane Tonight) by Priss and the Replicants.Original Japanese version. Credit in link. This is the introductory song in the original 1987 anime film Bubblegum Crisis.Even the English-language version is pretty darn good!English dub version. Credit in link. The lead singer and the band are all animated fictional characters from a fictional future Japan. It does not get much more fictional than that!

Cheesy, fictional boy band names?

I'm writing a story for my English class and it's about this really cheesy boyband. I can't think of a good name for them though...any ideas? I'm trying to make it sound super cheesy and a little stupid. Like The Heartbreakers or something.

Ideas For A Vampire Love Story?

Don't make the "Edward" of this story like THAT Edward. Make him have his flaws and weaknesses besides your main character. Have your main character have her flaws and weaknesses too, but have more strengths than flaws. Like, for instance, she can cook a four course dinner, or she can play baseball. Don't make her out to be a "dimwit". Make the vampire seem strong, but at the same time he has his weaknesses. Do anything you'd do to a regular story. If it's nothing like Twilight, I might read it. Don't make it too mushy. Some people like that, but others don't.

So, the title of the story is "Early Sunsets Over Monroeville"? Sounds interesting.

Best of Luck,
Sora-chan (That's what my username reads as)

EDIT: Whoops, I wrote about technique, not story.

Idea 1: Main Character (MC) goes to a night school that just happens to be where vampires gather (let your imagination run wild)
Idea 2: MC moves into a house near a vampire, and she discovers it soon afterwards.
Idea 3: The vampire moves into the empty, creepy, house next the MC's house.
Idea 4: The vampire transfers to the college that the MC is going to
Idea 5: MC walking innocently to her house when the vampire runs by her, knocks her over by accident, and keeps running. She yells after him, and then she sees what he's running from, and jumps inside the gates to her house. The next time she sees him is under the same circumstances, but she's forced to run, because, she too is being chased. He saves her, and she starts falling for him.
Idea 6: MC just turned 25, and her mother is insisting that she start dating again, even after the previous relationship. The previous relationship could be, at eighteen, she "fell in love" with a dirtbag, and he proposed to her. She said yes, and they got married. After three years of marriage, he turns abusive, and she files for divorce. Mother of MC sets her daughter up for a blind date, and the date just happens to be a vampire.
Idea 7: Working in the office. She could work in an office, and a semi-scruffy, but good-looking, in a suit. He seems too good to be true when she starts falling for him, and THEN she discovers his secret.

Can you mention movies, bands, actors, other books, etc. in your book/story without paying copyright fines?

I'm planning to have two of my characters bond over classic movies (not like black and white classic, but "classics" like Stand By Me and The Goonies) and I was wondering of my best bet is to summarize the movie's plot in a sentence or two or if I can actually name the movie and name-drop actors without having to pay copyright fines. I'm not trying to pass any stories off as my own, I'm just having two characters bond over movies and stuff like that. And while I'm at it, can you name-drop bands and things, because I'm a HUGE character writer and I like to fine-tune every little detail about my bigger characters. It's not like I'm going to be mentioning singers like Ke$ha or movies like The Hangover or anything. So, can I do that?

Which rock band do you find has the most interesting biographical story (could be at anytime of their career, must include the band as a whole not just a particular member] and what is it?

It’s pretty hard to beat either The Beatles or The Rolling Stones when it comes to interesting biographies, but in the tragedy department, I believe Badfinger certainly have a pretty good claim to saddest story. They were a reasonably successful band called The Iveys, became the first band signed to the Beatles record label (Apple) where they changed their name to Badfinger. McCartney wrote their first single, “Come and Get It” which was a big hit, they wrote and recorded “Without You” which was to become a huge hit in the hands of Harry Nilsson, and later, Mariah Carey. They continued to have decent success with other singles like, “No Matter What,” “Day After Day,” and “Baby Blue.” They made one big mistake by trusting their manager, Bill Collins, and a financial “guru,” Stan Poley, who managed their finances poorly, leaving the band nearly penniless despite their success. When Apple dissolved they were caught in the legal tangle of that fiasco, then moved to Warners, where they put out two excellent, but completely overlooked albums, and were victims of further legal entanglements mainly created by Poley’s “creative” financial dealings. In 1975, when their main songwriter, Pete Ham, was informed that all his money had disappeared, he took his own life at 27. Badfinger split up, then reformed with only Molland and Evans from the original band, but finally split into two bands, both calling themselves Badfinger. In 1983, Evans, just like Ham eight yers earlier, hanged himself. It’s a terribly sad and bitter tale, punctuated by some of the best power pop since the Beatles. There’s a YT video that gives a more detailed picture of The Who sad affair.

I need help from people who are good with scandal ideas for stories?

Hello there thanks for opening. Okay first off, if this weren't like an 'emergency' than I wouldn't be asking others for help. I'm gonna make this short and sweet. But pretty much in fan fiction story, the girl and the guy had a drunk one night stand, although the girl secretly loved the guy for a really long time. The guy leaves and the girl gets pissed and upset and leaves town after school, only to have his child when she finds out she's pregnant. 3 years later, she has the daughter and things are going well until her job makes her come face to face with the guy she never forgot about, since he's in a famous band now. After some time, the couple is able to reconcile for the sake of themselves and the kid.

A year later, the girl finds out she's pregnant again, but is not the least bit thrilled since the couple haven't made that much progress to have another kid. She hides the pregnancy for a good month until she can't anymore and confesses. The guy is surprisingly happy although she still isn't, etc...

Here's where I'm stuck : the couple is able to make it work until the ex girlfriend of the guy decides she wants to break up the couple since she still loves the guy, but goes to drastic measures. That's where I need help on. How can I incorporate the ex girlfriend? I was planning to have her drug the guy and make it seem like she slept with him and frame him so it gets back to the main character. I'm not very good at scandals in the sense of making it all connect together. If someone out there is good with drama, if you could please just give me some tips, I'm not asking you to right a whole story for me, but just a few suggestions to help me move along. I'm really not experienced with this, so any ideas would be extremely helpful and if you want I'll put in your name for credit. Before I get the hate answers, please understand I did think about this a lot and I really tried to think outside the box, but to avail.
