Do you like listening to songs while traveling?
YesFor me, traveling and music go hand in hand. I love listening to music while traveling. May it be a daily commute to college and back or a long road trip, I always have a playlist ready for everything. It keeps my mind off the traffic and well, keeps me distracted from the chaotic world.When it comes to road trips or long journeys, listening to music is a great time kill and I have a perfect playlist that I adore.(Bhavana Ramesh's answer to What are your all time favorite Travel Songs & Why? ) It's fun to just throw on headphones and pretend that you're in a music video or a movie (come on, don't pretend that you don't do this) And psychologically speaking, when you see something breathtaking, let's say you're driving by these beautiful mountains and the view is absolutely breathtaking. And you are listening to this perfect song. And the entire moment just feels right and beautiful. Your mind associates the emotion you felt with this particular song. So now, everytime you here this song, it brings back the same feelings and emotions all over again. Trust me, I've had more than few of these moments. And let me tell you it's magical.
Why do we listen to sad songs?
I know for myself personally, I listen to sad songs so to feel acceptance; I can relate to the person and what they're writing about, which in some way, makes me feel better. Whether it be positive or negative, that's why many people listen to songs in general, they like that another feels the same way they do. Also, by finding the negatives in life, we can find the positives as well, which of course makes an individual feel better. Alot of it depends on the individual and their personality/viewpoints.

Why do you like listening to music ?
Because, MUSIC=LIFE I CAN'T imagine living without music...Music can be so incredibly powerful in conveying and spreading emotion to its audience. It's sometimes the only way to get the message across, and can - by itself - succeed in spreading happiness, romance, sorrow, etc. It's sucha pleasure to have a good song play and let your minds wander to relate that music to things, or even to just let it consume you. I ALWAYS have my computer/iPod playing playlists when I'm driving, doing my hw, on a plane, etc. It helps make the day go by better! Plus, when I'm drawing or writing, playing music helps improve what I'm doing because I'm not just fabricating or pretending to feel the emotions. I actually AM, and can therefore express that emotion even better!
