Why do people take astrology seriously?
Personally I have always have a bit of a double felling about astrology. On one side, I never thought much of it, especially when after I learned how Barnum statements worked the prediction value of them went down the drain for me. On the other hand I have always wondered if something would really be crap, how could it be, people still putting faith in it. Other things that are based on air come and go, reappear in new forms, but astrology has been here to stay for a long long time, like religions. In fact, it is used in the oldest religion known to mankind as a very important part.And this is exactly where my latest amazing fact came from. My wife and I recently have decided to part. To much issues, no future. Private stuff, not for here. However, she being Hindu, she did her part to save our relation and some Pandits (Hindu priests) were involved in the process over the years. The latest of them had asked her for my birth data, including exact time, location and what day it was. I asked her why, it was for my horoscope. Now, that horoscope what not quite the one you read in the Monday newspaper to get you through the rest of the weak. That priest came up with a story that described my life pretty well, in rough lines, and a description of my character, not far off. And not just mine, also hers and our sons. And the man never met any one of us.Now I know how to read a text and search for common language that could be for anybody. But this was just too fitting for me, for her, and for our little man. So I am still not convinced it's all just junk. I am convinced there is a lot of crap and rubbish. But occasionally it seems that there is someone who really knows how to read the stars.

YHWH's primary purpose was to separate his people from the surrounding people in hopes of drawing them to him. So, yes, to answer the question, astrology to determine the will of God or to determine the future is a sin.

Astrology: Are you childish and playful or serious mature?
I can be extremely childish and fun when I'm around people I know well. Otherwise, I think I'm a little too serious around people that I do not know. At least I know at work, I tend to be more mature, but there are always times where I ease up on myself and have fun. It's probably due to the fact that my sun is Sagittarius and my Virgo rising are so different, but it seems to keep me grounded. How do i stop believing in astrology?
Oh that's so easy to do. A snap! Rather than try to "stop cold turkey," I might suggest that you simply put your attention on something more substantial, more powerful, more fun! If you do that, you will not be looking for the buzz/security you get from astrology. Now, here is the easy part. Substitute the feeling of real love and support from the Universe/God/Divine, whatever you want to call it. After you do that a few times, astrology will look soooo superficial to you. You could probably even go back to it just for fun. I used to try to gamble. However, every time I attempted to gamble, I lost..just quarters..nothing special. But the Universe was nudging me away from any temptation whatsoever. I didn't like losing quarters! So, I said "thank you." I no longer care about gambling, because I know that I will just lose, thanks to the Universe. The real question I would like to ask of you is why? Why do you find astrology appealing? Is it for security? For pleasure? You might spend some time analyzing that. When you find the answer, you will grow tremendously! You will thank astrology addiction for pointing out a larger issue in your life, and get it fixed, so it does not jump back up in some other more serious area, such as relationships, or work, or family. Why do people take zodiacs so seriously?
I completely get what you're saying. Im one who enjoys astrology almost a fanatic but only about my own sign. I know a little about other signs but in my opinion its not me so im not really concerned. But thinking your childs features will change etc thats too much for me. I like to see how my sign would fit with other signs since i have friends of other signs. I didnt become an astrology fanatic until i noticed people were obsessed with me (particularly my eyes) i dont say it to sound conceited but its the truth. I dont see why people find me so attractive, i never considered myself mysterious although i am very much so. Scorpio describes me perfectly. Its like your zodiac profile knows u better than u know yourself especially the natal chart so i can relate to the obsessiveness but i dont check my horoscope day & night. Not every scorpio i know is drop dead gorgeous or mysterious but for the most part we're all similar
