Do you think i will need braces?
Im waiting for a letter from the hospital so i can go and be put out to have a tooth taken out. When I went to the orthodontist, so they could X-ray my mouth my teeth looked rather wobbly. The tooth that I'm having taken out is the 3rd one from the back on the right side (im not sure what its called) as instead of the tooth coming up its sinking down into my gums, and the teeth around it have not given the tooth enough space to be pushed up. Also my right 'fang-like' tooth, is quite twisted aswell. Do you think ill need braces? Btw, im 12.
Do you think 22 is too late to get and wear braces?
Not all all! Where I work, there's a doctor who's 29 with braces and he is very handsome :) I am actually going to get braces in my 20's too :D also, you'll have a beautiful smile in the end and 22 is very young. Also, braces are cool and nobody is going to really care. You can also get the invisible ones, so nobody will know ;)

No age is too old. As others have said, Invisalign is a great alternative. No one will be able to see that you are wearing the trays and you are able to eat anything, since you take them out to eat.
Braces at 22?
Im 22 and have been told I need to get braces. I really am dreading getting a mouthful of metal because my job requires a lot of contact with people and I feel that they will be a hindrance on this (Im a young professional and feel that with braces clients will be less likely to take me seriously). I have looked at Invsalign and lingual braces, what are peoples thoughts on this type of treatment? Also I lack self confidence and do not like the way i look, and feel that braces will further this and be quite depressing....im in my "social prime" and have basically been cut down

Well if you are 18 you can't turn back the clock. If you need them, go for it.

How old is the oldest age to get braces?
Definitely wait until she has all her adult teeth at least. But she'll thank you later on for doing it sooner rather than later. I'm 22 and just got mine recently, my orthodontist is a 48-year-old woman who just got them. You can always get braces on as long as you still have teeth lol.
Am I too old for Braces?
According to my gf who is a daughter of a nurse, and also a social worker herself, one is never too old for braces. One of her acquaintance's ex-wife has braces, called invisiline ones a person can't see. I think you could also do some research online re: dental work and learn much. I would do this but I have to get to work. Maybe when I get a minute I'll hop back on and edit this. However, you could use a search engine to look for "dental braces" and add a plus sign with age or "how old?"
