Do You Think The Patriots Will Bring Back Green-ellis

Do you think Bill Belichick will dig up the 45-3 ball and bring it with him to the game next weekend?

This is Belichick we're talking about.

You really think the Pats are watching film or even being reminded of that game, other then the poor kick off coverage and the few blown plays? Coach B is showing them the first match up with the Jets that they lost, the Jets wins over the Colts and Steelers and extended coverage of the Pats loss to the Browns.

There is no place in the Pat's preparation for dwelling on successes, only on improving failures. That game ball is long gone.

Do you think the Patriots should franchise Matt Cassel?

Let's think about this, after last season, don't you think Cassel would want more money? I think they should TRY to keep him, but if he doesn't take the money they offer they should franchise him and TRADE HIM, or just let him more on. It makes no sense to pay more than they need to for two good QBs. Remember only one can start at a time!

I mean, what if it turns out that Cassel is just a one year wonder like Derek Anderson was? They should keep Tommy as the starter for sure because he shows is abilities year after year.

They should franchise him and trade him up for either a decent corner, lb, or draft pick.

Will the Patriots bring Colin Kaepernick back to earth like they did with Tim Tebow and Andrew Luck?

Seems like you're a type of guys that overvalues stats and doesn't relatively watch the video games or understand soccer. Of direction Andrew success. Just seem at it like this, Tebow has been a free agent for every week and the only curiosity he has gotten is from an indoor soccer staff. If Andrew luck used to be a free agent at the least 2/3 of the NFL teams would name to have him replace their establishing QB.

Patriots fans Danny Woodhead or Benjarvus Green-Ellis? :)?

Benjarvus Green-Ellis is the better of the two. Green-Ellis carries the load and is a fantastic power runner. Woodhead is not at all an every down back, he is pretty small and can't sustain too many hits. Woodhead depends on B.G.E's power running in order for him to produce what he is producing. Without BGE, Woodhead would not be doing well.

Currently, the Patriots have 2 QBs on the roster. Tom Brady, and Brian Hoyer. Brian Hoyer was previously on the Patriots as a backup - from 2009 through 2011.The fact that the Pats picked Hoyer back up indicates that they are comfortable with his capabilities as a backup QB.No, he doesn’t have the potential upside that Jimmy G has. Yes, Eli Manning is a somewhat better QB than Hoyer, even today. But how much better is he?Well, Manning has a lot more history, but Hoyer has started in 37 games and amassed a 16–21 record while playing for some mediocre teams. Eli Manning has a 110–100 record playing for the Giants, in an era where they were generally competitive with a couple great years and a few bad ones mixed in.Hoyer has completed 59.4% of his career passes, Manning, 59.8%. Both of them have a career average gain of 7 yards per attempt. Hoyer has 48 TDs and 30 INTs to Manning’s 334 TDs and 222 INTs (Manning has a worse ratio). Hoyer averaged 6 adjusted net yards per attempt, compared to 5.93 for Manning - that stat counts positive yardage minus sack losses, minus 45 yards per interception and plus 20 yards per TD.I think this establishes that Hoyer is capable of similar production to Manning. I don’t think this fully captures how good they are, but it demonstrates that they are in the same league.Well, Brian Hoyer is on contract for 3 years for $1.5 million.Eli Manning is less than halfway through a 4 year, $84 million contract.Manning has had some spectacular games - and some equally unspectacular ones. He’s won 2 super bowls. But in terms of what actually happens in games, I don’t think Eli Manning is worth 40 times the price… and I don’t think anyone could reasonably disagree. Manning would be a useful upgrade for the Jaguars or something like that, but for the Patriots, there’s no real need to have such an expensive player. It isn’t inconceivable that Manning will desire to play in the NFL for a while longer - and it isn’t totally impossible that he would want to simply back someone else up. But if he did, he’d have to take a massive pay cut to do it, because he isn’t worth that sort of money.

The chance of this happening is very slim. The circumstances have to be right! The Patriots musn’t be doing wellTom Brady must be retiredRob Gronkowski must be injured, not on the Patriots anymore, or suspended for several gamesThe new Patriots QB (Tom Brady’s heir) must be really terribleBill Belichick has left the teamThey screwed up on multiple draft picks (cough**Michel**cough)Now we take into account the fact that the Patriots have like the easiest division in the entire NFLSam Darnold must turn out to be one of the best QBs of the decade and the Jets must have a very strong team around himJosh Allen must be brilliant at the helm for the Bills (we all know that ain’t gonna happen anyways) and the Bills don’t have anything else besides this future draft bust so never mind thatRyan Tannehill gets on track and the Dolphin’s defense becomes Steel Curtain 2.0I would say that at least 6 of these 8 (really only 7) conditions must be in effect for the Patriots to have a 7–9 record. Now for a worse season…impossible…
