Does playing the guitar attract girls? I'm in it for the fun of the music and writing, but I just had to ask.
Unfortunately the answer is yes it does, but only when performing, and it is not just the ladies that do this. I played with a female lead singer for many years and she had more grief with groupies than us guys did. She was plain, 4′6, ~310 lbs. with dirty blond stringy hair and couldn’t get the time of day from a guy on the street. On stage she would have the lady killers licking her boots for a wink and at break it looked like flys on honey. We often had to deal with some jerk that just wouldn’t back off. It hurt her feelings. It is demeaning and when you know what’s going on it is insulting.When you perform you are the centre of attention. It is designed that way, like it or not. I believe this is more about someone wanting that attention for themselves and you become a means to that end. With out fail the one doing this is some bimbo dressed to the nines, a real estate agent in a $3000 suit or Joe / Jane cool. All attention seekers. If they can’t be the one everyone is looking at they will try to get beside them. It’s sort of sad.At 45 years old, married with 3 children I had a ~22 year old woman sneak on stage behind me, manage to climb in between me and my bass guitar while I was playing and try to kiss me, while her husband glared on angrily. Frankly that is more than a little bit insane. She does not know a thing about me or she’d have known that I’m not into swapping spit with strangers. I was angry, the band was angry, her husband was angry and she acted like it was all normal. :-It is not a good thing by any stretch. I have done this a long time and have seen many band mates fall for a groupie’s advances, I have never once seen that end well, not once. Friends don’t let friends do groupies and trust me please, you don’t want one either. IMHO If it’s the only reason your playing your making a mistake, that is a lot of work for bad mojo.
Is it just me, or do you not find booty shorts attractive?

What do you find unattractive that others find attractive?

What is it like having a more attractive child than you ever were?
When my daughter was a baby, I would take her to the grocery store and men would alert the women they were with to my baby and how beautiful she was. Men. Like, I’ve never seen a man do this before or since. I’m sure they notice babies, but not to the point of needing to show their wives or girlfriends because they think the baby is so beautiful. Every time I was in the grocery store… no lie. It was just weird.When we went to mardi gras, people were constantly throwing her things from floats. Strangers, pointing her out, saying this is for her and tossing it to me so she could have a special string of beads or a stuffed toy. Out of crowds of people, they noticed her. When I was kid, people were knocking me over and didn’t care that I didn’t get home with any beads or doubloons.On an airplane, the stewardess took her from me and walked around with her while explaining to people why we were not able to exit the plane. She wasn’t crying or giving me any trouble. People just noticed her and wanted to play with her.When she hit puberty, I started noticing that men had stopped looking at me, but would slow down as we were walking down the street to stare at her. I had a hairstylist not even bother to hide his disappointment that I was his client instead of my daughter. And I often get asked about that beautiful child of mine.I was not an ugly person by any stretch of the imagination. In fact, people who knew me growing up say she looks just like I did… my mini-me, doppleganger, twin. I was just never as confident as her. And while she is as socially awkward as I am, she just seems to know how to make it work for her. She shines. It took me a while and her senior portraits to see myself in her, but it’s there. No doubt at all. It’s just what she does with it that makes it special. What do russian guys like about indian girls?
Classic Russian books by famous authors often had the stories about incredible love that a Russian guy develops for a girl from the ethnic group which is close to East Indian people - gypsies (they came from India), where girls have black hair and big black eyes. There are many Russian movies made based on these stories. How do you see attractive people in our society?
1. People who are seen as attractive do get better treatment, especially women - men will open doors for them, other people will offer them umbrellas in the rain, and in some cases simply being attractive and approachable looking will get you a job. The downside of this is that attractive people often get unwanted attention, eg: wolfwhistles, or otherwise creepy people devoting attention to them. 2. I think an attractive person is someone who carries themselves with confidence and dresses well, no matter what shape or size they are. There's something about being a bit goofy that I find attractive too, for some reason. Society's current vision of attractive is (males) whoever has the biggest biceps and six pack and (girls) whoever wears the least and has the most orange complexion. I find nothing sadder than seeing girls going out as young as 13 in stilettos, with about a kilo of foundation and eyeliner on. They look like hookers. 3. When I see someone effortlessly beautiful, I have no time to hate - just endless admiration, haha. When it comes to someone dressed like a stripper, however, I feel a bit of rage. I just want to scream at them to put on some pants and remind them that the whole world is not interested in seeing absolutely every part of them! 4. Truly attractive people are fairly oblivious, that's a large part of why they're attractive. It's not self concious at all. 5. I am not attractive by society's standards, as I like to leave something to the imagination and only wear light make-up during the day. I'm not going to wear tiny shorts and a ridiculously short cropped singlet with the American flag on it just because someone else wants me to. I have shortish hair, which makes me stick out like an eyesore in this town where girls are expected to have hair extensions down to their hips. I like to think I meet my own standards. :)
Have guys finally gotten tired over girls dressing like $luts all the time?
I've been noticing this...at my community college campus, I'll see these girls walking by, full-on hair and make-up and wearing midriffs, boobs hanging out, shorts and skirts up their tushes...and all the guys walking past them don't even give these girls a second glance....so unless all the guys at my college are gay, do you think I'm crazy for thinking that guys are finally over girls dressed as hookers? i dress cute, but never slutty or anything, and i still seem to attract some admirers....so does this mean that guys are now looking for more fresh-faced nice girls who dress nicely without baring it all?
Is dressing slutty the only way to get attention with guys?
Listen, he only wants to see how you would look as a "slut". HE wants to see you he honestly does not care about what other guys want from you. What he's saying is that he has interest in you but he would want to see more of what you got. Any man who approaches you like that does not need to see anything you got. If you dress like a slut, you will attract guys who are sluts as well. Certain things you do attract certain guys. The girls who get the most attention will most likely end up pregnant and used up. Do not look at attention as being good all the time. These girls are usually tools for the moment. Being slutty attracts guys that want to take advantage of you and your emotions. But when you are being yourself, it may take more time to attract a guy but it will happen. When you are being yourself, you will always attract a guy who is real with himself. You are what you attract.
