Did the main stream media brainwash Democrats into thinking that they are entitled to win ?
Democrats give the majority of American voters so much fun! These Dems begin by assuming everyone else is like them, which is like Whoopi Goldberg preaching to the audience of The Enforced View that whatever she says is what everyone says.THEN the Dems lose another race, and we get to watch them smack their foreheads, already purple from banging those heads on the Hillary victory tree.Not since some place's revolution have we seen the loser absolutely unable to deal with reality. That's why this is so much fun.And to think there STILL are people lame enough to think that they can talk this American President into resigning. Would Lincoln have resigned to Jefferson Davis after the First Battle of Bull Run?
Is the media brainwashing people?
It depends on the type of people it caters too.Media decides what the majority wants to see/hear/read, and that is the news it offers.Pro and Anti.Media is there to report the events that are happening, and if the events are reproduced exactly as they have happened, it would be similar to watching Rajya Sabha TV, Discovery Channel or ESPN/Star Sports etc. Live events.So the media decides what the majority of the people wants to see/hear/read and if offers all this, along with lots of suspense and drama. The people get hooked to it and want more. The sane people switch channels and watch History TV.Then there is paid media, which caters to a particular political party. Here there are very few media houses which are neutral. Most of these are owned by people who are affiliated with some political party and it is their agenda that they have to show what is good for the party. That is good business sense too.As a viewer we should set a benchmark of what to believe and what to see. This way if the viewer becomes intelligent the TRP of that channel drops and the channel will than have to show what the viewers want to see.Till then, Believe half of what you see and nothing that you hear.
Is it ethical for the liberal media to disseminate brainwashing propaganda?
According to the Oxford English Dictionary brainwashing is ‘A forcible indoctrination to induce attitudes and to accept contrasting regimented ideas.’Maybe you are being persuaded into believing something about a political party that you feel like might not be the truth, in which case you might be feeling a little manipulated… which might run parallel with the act of trying to brainwash you.Kathleen Taylor, in her book Brainwashing: The science of thought control, lists a few characteristics of what groups or people may do to try and brainwash individuals. I will list a few that I think are fairly obvious in our mainstream media and news stations. The following is found in her book on p. 23:Sacred Science - Viewing the ideology’s basic dogmas as both morally unchallengeable and scientifically exact, thus increasing their apparent authorityLoading the language - Compressing complex ideas into brief, definitive-sounding phrases, ‘thought-terminating cliches’The primacy of doctrine over person - The idea that a dogma is more true and more real than anything experienced by an individual human beingThe dispensing of existence - The right to control the quality of life and eventual fate of both group members and non-membersWhy do you feel the way you do? Are you feeling paranoid, scared - like the world is out to get you, fearful of your future, fearful of our planet, feeling hate for the other party? I would say your being manipulated by whatever source you’re getting your news from.Taylor wrote, “…when politics becomes exciting the result can often be bloody. Swept up in the thrill of following a noble cause, people much more easily commit the kinds of atrocities which can lead observers to say: ‘They must have been brainwashed!’”Either side can be manipulated and brainwashed if they’re not careful. Don’t fool yourself.
Is the Media brainwashing people in to believing all Muslims are bad?
Only examples I have is my own expirences with Muslims I live near a Muslim cummunity and where I worked lot od the staff was Muslim. I found them to be very nice people u get the odd bad one just like with any race or religion. I also have a couple of Muslim friends. I will see what examples i can find online and post them here later.
Why are people so really easily brainwashed by the media propaganda?
I guess it’s the same reason people are so easily brainwashed by anti-media propaganda.I think the question is implying that the media is awful and anyone who believes it is brainwashed. Over the years, people who use the word “brainwashing” are the ones more likely to support wildly implausible conspiracy theories.But motives aside, people believe false things because they are psychologically prone to do so. Propaganda works because it plays on the flaws in human reason. There are innumerable books and studies out there that talk about why people believe false things. If you go to my blog, you’ll find a list of recommended books in the right sidebar, and many of them deal with fringe beliefs and psychology.One flaw is confirmation bias. People tend to believe things that fit what they already believe, and reject anything that does against it. Being on the Liberal side, I see this more among conservatives, and particularly Trump supporters: they simply dismiss anything that’s inconvenient for their belief system. I’m sure this happens with liberals too, but studies show Trump supporters are far less likely than any other group studied to actually check a news story for being real.Another flaw is the human tendency to overestimate their sophistication, knowledge expertise and savvy in cases where they really don’t know much. It’s called the Dunning-Kruger effect.People are easily fooled (some more than others) because they are human beings possessing the flaws common to the race. If you don’t want to be a slave to your flaws, it’s important to understand them and be honest to yourself about your own vulnerability. I spend a lot of time working on this.
