Doee My Hair And Makeup Look Too Extreme Or Is It Ok

EXTREME dry skin. Makeup looks stupid. Help!?

Okay. Stop using that cleanser and body washes. ONLY use the cetaphil gentle skin cleanser. That's probably the only thing gentle enough for your skin. THe ponds cream seems to be a good fit for you. DONT use toner or astringent. It's drying out your skin more. Don't use products with ANY fragrances on your body or face. Stick with tinted moisturizers and creamy/liquid concealers.

For your body, try using things like Amlactin or Aveeno. I really recommend Amlactin because itll encourage exfoliation, then you should apply a heavy Aveeno or Vaseline lotion to seriously moisturize. Again, steer clear of those bath and body works type lotions and what not.

In the shower, don't use a loofah. Use a creamy, moisturizing body wash (The softsoap shea butter one is actually amazing, so are the dove washes), and just apply it with your hands. Its okay to use the loofah around your underarm and sensitive areas, but dont use it on your legs and arms where it probably stings the most.

Apply moisturizer right after you get out of the shower and dry off a little. It's best if your skin is still shower-fresh/a little moist so the lotion really sticks and sinks into your skin.

But honestly, if problems continue, see a dermatologist to get some recommendations and tips. You could have a skin condition that needs special care and attention. Good luck.

How can i get the emo look without going to extreme?

Start by simply wearing black eyeliner and mascara, but don't wear a lot, you'll look like a panda.
maybe changing your hairstyle to somthing with a long side fringe, but something that you like, don't do it just because it's emo. You don't have to dye it black or anything like that if you don't want to.
Wear band t-shirts or striped ones, and jeans, they don't have to be skinny-fits.
Bracelets are always good, and converse too.

Do men prefer women without makeup and with long hair?

It’s funny that so many men say this. It’s for a few reasons.Men dislike high maintenance women because they think they’re selfish when in fact they just care about their appearance and love themselves. They see this as vanity when it’s just self love.Second, Men forget that women enjoy makeup and doing their hair. Looking our best makes us confident ( not everybody enjoys it but quite a few women do).The other issue is that men have no idea whatsoever what natural is and isn’t. Natural is uneven skin tones, dark circles, spots and sparse eyebrows that might need a tiny bit of filling in. Natural hair is plain one dimensional brown.Natural in mens eyes is brown mascara, light eyeshadow, slightly tinted brows and bronzer lightly applied. They think natural hair is a nice chestnut with a little bit of a lighter brown highlight. They don’t know what’s natural and think they’re being nice, but they’re actually negging you on some level by doing this.If a man asks you to intentionally be less confident, less happy and put less effort into your appearance it’s a way to keep you ‘his’ and so that he is less worried about others looking at you. I see it as a strange thing. Would you ever tell a guy ‘ oh stop shaving/washing your face/wearing cologne’ because it’s not ‘natural?’’In extremes, makeup can look bad. But most guys saying they like ‘natural’ girls are full of it .A prime example of natural makeup vs no makeup. A guy who says he likes ‘natural’ girls will still go for the girl in the right. Because she’s highlighting features without being too bold or making it look like she’s wearing a lot of makeup.

Does my hair look bad curly?

lol, your hair looks niceee

and your face doesn't look bad, it's cute :)

eh? haha, Canadian?

lol..go canada.

How do you get treated when wearing makeup vs. when you're not?

I have been told several times that I look younger without makeup. When my mother was in the hospital about a year ago I had no energy to put on makeup, so I would visit her ‘au naturale’. Every nurse that came in asked me which school I went to - and they didn't mean university, they meant high school. They all thought this 34 year old woman was a high-schooler.You would think this would keep me away from the makeup, right? Hell no - I enjoy wearing it, and it makes me actually feel like an adult. Especially with the response I get when I'm not wearing it.EDIT: Due to the large number of comments asking for more photos, please check out my answer to: Krysta Storer (クリスタストーラー)'s answer to What do you look like when you get out of bed vs. when you leave the house? Here I am fresh faced with no makeup on:And here I am with full makeup (just for fun - I even stenciled on a fake beauty mark!)I will point out that the picture above is an extreme example of me in makeup. Usually I wear about half this much for my daily routine.Wow- I didn't expect such a reaction to my photo where I thought I was looking glam! (I honestly selected the first two photos in my phone that were non makeup vs makeup) Here is a photo of how I look on a more day-to-day basis:Update: thank you for all the compliments saying that I look better without makeup! I certainly wasn't trying to come off as fishing for compliments, so I just wanted to expand on this a little…I enjoy makeup. For me it is fun to create different looks with it, and I enjoy the fact that I can change my appearance with a little mascara or eyeliner. It makes me feel like I am more put together, and I feel more like a member of society. On the other hand, I also enjoy not wearing makeup! It is much simpler to get ready in the morning if I don't have to put it on. So dear reader - while I will most likely not stop using makeup, I will take your kind words to heart and maybe spend one or two days a week ‘au naturale’ :)Update: Bonus Photos! I have been scouring my phone for more photos of makeup vs none, so here are two more! This is a before and after of myself after getting a professional makeover, complete with false eyelashes:

Why do some men hate makeup?

I don't think some guys realize that the faces of attractive women (such as celebrities) often have a ton of makeup on. Good makeup, after all, is "invisible" and hard to detect. Men also have a very basic understanding of makeup and will think of makeup in terms of color on the lips, color on the eyes, fake lashes, etc.; but are unaware of the more subtle things like face contouring.I have also heard men say that they hate makeup because ...it is expensive....the routine of putting it on and taking it off takes too long. ...it is surprising to see a girl's face change when the makeup is removed....kissing lip product is unpleasant. Then there's also men who truly prefer natural over the unnatural, and I think that's perfectly understandable.

How to style hair and makeup "scene" appropriate for 13 year old girl?

Ok, well I don't want to sound like a poser or something, but I like the way some of the scene queens style their hair and makeup. I'm thirteen, so nothing too "out there." My hair is cut in many short, choppy layers and is an inch or two past shoulder length and it is naturally light brown/reddish. I wear pencil eyeliner every day, but not a lot. This is the kind of look I like:

Also: Is there any temporary black hair dye that is easy to put in and wash out every day AND does not make your hair all stiff and icky or greasy that you can buy easily? And is there a color that I could dye my hair that is appropriate for me and my mom would probably not disagree with that would still make me stand out in a crowd but not stand too much out?
