Does Anyone Ever Check And Recheck Their Questions Or The Answers They

Does anyone else check and recheck things like the alarm clock?

I am a nurse, and I would definitely say you don't have OCD. I think it is more a case of you are concerned about being late for work/school/uni etc, and that these commitments are a priority in your life.
There is nothing wrong with being thorough and double-checking things is not a big deal. As you said though, OCD is an illness and of the people I have seen demonstrating this illness, it does take up a huge chunk of their life, and what is more, they do not appear to be bothered that it is cutting into their time or that the habits are unnecessary. Everyone associates OCD with the "hand-washing", but in m experience, it is usually subtle things like folding napkins a certain way, refolding them, lining up items on a desk or shelf a certain way and then re-arranging them 5 minutes later, this behaviour can go on for hours. Another thing with OCD is that some people with a mild form can do things like counting in their head, or taking a sentence and rearranging the letters alphabetically in their head...eg: recognising the word "ghost" is in alphabetical order.. or taking a simple phrase like "Cats and dogs" and rearrangind it in thei head to "aacddgnosst" (phew that was tricky!! :P )
I hope that I have been able to provide you a bit of insight and perhaps some reassurance that you are not mentally ill.

Take care, best wishes

Has anyone got their marks changed after revaluation in CBSE?

Here is my storyI applied for revaluation last year in English. I was sure that that there is some problem with my marks as I did my paper pretty well.First step: In this you need to apply for revaluation and CBSE checks that if any of your question is unchecked or if the total marks awarded are correct. After the result of this stage I got "NO CHANGE"Second step: In this you ask for photocopies of your answer sheets. I knew I did well so i took the photocopy. I checked and came to know that one question in my answer sheet was unchecked. The discrepancy should have been resolved in first stage only as only this thing is checked up but sadly it was not.Third step : In this you apply for any 10 questions that you think are required to be rechecked. I applied for the question in which marks were not awarded along with some others. I got the result but guess what it was still a "No change".Thats the reality that you don't even get the marks for even the unchecked questions. I think its just a source of money for them as you would spend around 2000-2500 and they don't even pay attention to it.I didn't stop as I wanted to see till what extent they can go. It was not about marks now but about the injustice that was happening. I am afraid if this happens with everyone who applies. I wrote a letter by going to the CBSE office regarding my situation but hardly anyone replied. I did wait for the reply for around 2 months but then I again went and wrote a letter. The officials there suggested to write to Delhi office but I wrote it to the regional office only. Finally this time they replied and called me up to get a new DMC. But it was too late results came in May and I got a new DMC in September. It is generally said CBSE increases your marks only when they are more than or equal to 5. Well, thats not the case you get a new DMC if your marks increased are more than 5 otherwise your old one is edited. Now you can expect how good the revaluation is !!

Checking and rechecking locks...?

I have had OCD all my life. Half of the symptoms I had since I was born and the other half since age 18. I have been on medication since 2001. I was wondering how other people with OCD coped with checking compulsions.

I check and recheck windows and doors when I lock down my house. I check car doors to make sure all of them are locked. I used to wash again both legs after I washed one of them to make sure that I had washed both when I take a shower. Same with other parts of my body. Half of the time when I read a book I reread everything. It takes me longer than people that doesn't have OCD to read a book due to rereading. Thanks to the meds my symptoms have become less intense and bearable. I, however, was wondering how you have modified your behaiour or thought process to make the checking compulsions less intense and easier to bear.

Thank you in advance.

Can someone help me on my super hard confusing econ question?

I can just see some clever econ professor asking this question. It is a good one! From a purely econ standpoint, whether or not the benefits outweigh the costs. In other words, they never check to see if the mission is worth it from an economic point of view. From a scientific one, there is room for argument. Economics is a different story.

Of course arguments can be made: spin-off technology, pioneering a future space industry, employing engineers and scientists, inspiring children to study more science and math, etc. Oddly enough, I have actually researched this extensively for a huge paper I did on the economics of a manned mission to Mars. Long story short, it is not worth it from an economic standpoint. Spin-offs tend to be exaggerated by NASA but in any case the money would be better spent just subsidizing science initiatives with a REAL return to society like renewable energy, green technology, science and math education, etc. The spin-off inventions would still come through and the project would directly benefit society. Pioneering a future space industry is probably the only real argument for a space program. No modern nation can afford to be left in the dust when a space industry gets established. However, we are VERY far from that and I would argue that the nations of the world ought to let private sector interest in space increase a bit before they go and spend billions on space missions that could be spent on more pressing issues. Also, we can have our cake and eat it too with unmanned missions. Still foster a good space program and engineering experience/knowledge at a fraction of the cost required for manned missions. Sorry for the rant!

Has anyone ever been convinced by something they read on the internet?

Ha! Have I been convinced by anything I've read on the internet? When HAVEN'T I?I do read reviews before I buy something, and look at several sources. I've become pretty good at figuring out if something is worth the money. As for topical issues, I haven't seen a newspaper for approximately sixteen thousand years now, and don't watch television news that often. Where, oh where, can I find news?Well, the New York Times (all the news that's fit to print, and we'll still lie about it) is on the internet. CNN, the Huffington Post, Quora(!), Newsweek, Time, Reuters, and my personal favorite, The Onion, are all on the internet.Whether what they say is true, or not, on any particular issue, is up for debate, but occasionally I let them convince me of something. That being said, I've been convinced of things I'd have been better off not knowing.I became incensed a few times over something I read, and before I learned wisdom, I said something about it, and was summarily enlightened by a more informed person. It was very embarrassing.'Tis better to keep silent and let people think you're dumb, then to open your mouth and remove all doubt.'

When your baby has a fever, how often do you check his/her temperature?

I check it, then if I give fever meds I wait 1 hr and check again. After that I recheck if they feel warmer or if it is time for the next dose of meds to see if they need them or not. 100 is barely a temp so that is right on the line of if you give something or not. The pediatricians office my boys go to won't will give tyenol for 100-101 and motrin for anything above that. They recommended the temp taking before meds and 1 hr after to make sure the meds are helping.
