Help! anyone owning a cosco alpha omega elite convertible car seat....?

I have an alpha omega elite too and I encountered the same problem. You have to really press hard on the red button in order for the belt to release. But after a few months, it loosend up. Either that or my thumb got stronger.

If you are afraid that you won't be able to get your baby out in case of emergency, keep a pocket knife handy in your glove box of your car.

Car seat for a 2008 Pontiac G6?

You can install as upright as 30-35 degrees for babies that are big enough to outgrow their infant seat.

When you have your installatiom checked, you should always be the last person to install the seat. They are supposed to teach you how to do it correctly, not just do it for you. Search for a technician near you at http://seatcheck.org/

I highly recommend visiting the forum Bobbi linked to, I use it almost every day- the users there are extremely knowledgeable and nice, they won't give up until your problem is fixed!

The Alpha Omega makes an OK car seat, but it makes for a horrible booster, it is on the not recommended list because it generally has a horrible belt bit. http://www.iihs.org/research/topics/boos... if you can return it you should, and buy a convertible seat just for rear and forward facing. When baby is ready for a booster a combo seat (forward facing harness and booster) or a dedicated booster will fit him much better, keeping him safer in an accident

Question about the Cosco convertible carseat?

I have the Graco My Ride convertible car seat for my car. We got a cheaper one (Cosco Scenera) for my boyfriend's car just so we didn't have to un-do the car seat all the time.

Anyways, with the Cosco car seat in his car, it's secure. It doesnt tilt from side to side, and if you push it back (it's rear facing), it doesn't tilt either. However, it just lifts right up if you push it forward. Is that OK? We can't figure out any way to make it more secure. Anybody know anything about that? Thanks!! :)

Do convertible car seats use the same base as infant car seats?

I currently have two Graco infant seat bases for our one infant car seat. Our daughter is about 19lbs now and I believe the limit is 20lbs for her car seat, so I am researching the best convertible car seats for her and trying to figure out if they use the same type of base or if they have a base at all. She rides in three vehicles M-F on a regular basis and I'm trying to save as much money as possible without having to buy 2-3 seats. Also, if anyone has any suggests for a good convertible seat please let me know, trying to stay around $100. Thanks.

Convertible car seat in Civic coupe?

She is 5 1/2 months old right now and weighs 17 pounds. So, she will still have to be facing backwards, but has been supporting her head for at least 3 months and sitting up for over one month, so I would love to get her a convertible that does not lie her down like her Evenflo carrier. Also, I don't use the carrier that often anymore because she's too heavy in it! Thanks for your answers!!
