Does Anyone Have An Opinion About Elizabeth Warren Running Against Hillary In The

If Hillary Clinton decides to run again in 2020, will Elizabeth Warren stand a chance to be the Democratic nominee?

I sincerely don’t believe Hillary would run in 2020. I do think the Democratic Party has proven to be an unreliable candidate. Despite the advantages she had in the last election when it came to positive news coverage and buying the delegates, she still lost to a rude, inexperienced, notorious womanizer.I have anecdotal comments from certain leaders of the Democratic Party to lead me to believe her time has come and gone. She will never be president.Elizabeth Warren, while not having the baggage of Clinton, would lose the election and I don’t believe she would ever become the nominee, with or without Clinton. Her claim to Indian heritage backfired tremendously, and I personally think her DNA testing made it much worse in her and her credibility. She would’ve done so much better to not addresss it and as most politicians do, change the subject. There is no doubt in my mind she intentionally misled the university with the intent to gain an advantage.Between the two, neither one of them would ever become president. The Democratic Party are really between a rock and a hard place. In order for a democrat to win there are two things that need to happen.First and foremost they need someone that isn’t prominent, fairly new to the party, and have the eloquence of Bill Clinton, or Barack Obama. I don’t know of anyone right now that fits that parameter.Secondly, the economy has to tank. If Trumps economy continues to grow and have a positive GDP, he will have a great advantage. The other thing is that if the democrats continue to badger him with investigation after investigation, and does t result in something of a significance, people may just get turned off from the party. Now of course there are variables. If Mueller finds something that is current(and not something from 10 years ago) and that is actually violating real law and shows an intent to break the law, then Trump could lose.Or, and this would be a longshot, whoever the democrats choose is personable, centrist, and has the right message in combination with a bad economy or criminal liability, Trump loses. The biggest problem I think for the Democratic Party is that they ha e allowed the party to be pulled too far to the left. Most of America is moderate and center. Is there someone that can bridge the gap between the far left and the moderates in such a way to make the electorate comfortable in voting for them?I don’t see it yet.

What is your opinion on Elizabeth Warren's presidential campaign?

Elizabeth is an expert in bankruptcy law. That, alone, should make Trump and the Republican party tremble a bit.But definitely do some research on this woman. You will be surprised. Once a Republican, now a Democrat — she’s got a lot to offer. Had Hillary selected Elizabeth as a running mate, 2016 would have gone down a lot different. She’s everything Trump is not. She’s educated….really educated. She’s for working families. She’s honest, upfront, not afraid to take on big corporations or the banking industry.Elizabeth is for working families because she comes from a working family and is not afraid to work.Again, do some research on this woman. She’s disagreed with Obama on trade; terrorized Republicans with her banking regulations; sits on one of the most powerful committees, the Senate Armed Services Committee. Her list of accomplishments is so diverse and varied that it would take too many hours to list them here.As for Warren running for president, I’m skeptical .I don’t think Elizabeth is corrupt enough, or nasty enough, or ugly enough to withstand the dregs of a presidential race.If she enters the presidential race, we’re going to see a whole new “ugly” from the Good Old Boys.Women, hang on to your “Me, Too” hats because Warren is going to threaten a lot of men in the swamp. And, it ain’t going to be pretty. If you thought words like “retard” and “pussy” tainted the political scene in 2016, get ready for even worse.Accomplished women tend to bring the worst out in insecure men.Just you wait and see.

Will Elizabeth Warren turn out to be Hillary Clinton 2.0 for the Democratic Party in 2020?

No. She’s not even remotely like Hillary. The biggest slam against Warren is that she might be naive, a charge that would never in a million years be leveled against Hillary. So, if she got the nomination, she might be the George McGovern repeat that corporate Democrats have been terrified of since 1972.They should be much more terrified of a Hillary repeat. That is to say, virtually anyone who wasn’t Hillary would’ve easily defeated Trump in 2016. It might not be as easy to defeat him in 2020, but Warren could, with the proper coaching, make a perfectly good shot at it.The reason I say it will be more difficult to defeat Trump is that we’ll have had 4 whole years of Trump by that time, and the Earth is still spinning. Not only that, but the Democrats have spent the last 2 years making themselves as unappealing as possible.

What would have happened if Hillary Clinton had chosen Elizabeth Warren as her running mate?

Well it is a most unlikely event as she obviously wanted the spotlight and did not want any contrary opinions, but had she done so it would have been a nod to the party. It would not be falling apart and she would have won. She would have shown that the party really did care about the support of the people and this would be their compromise effort. As it was this was a disaster in more ways than the party will acknowledge. By jettisoning their supporters they lost the house, senate, presidency and governor ships. But beyond that they lost the people who were their supporters by showing they did not care about unions, or jobs or regular people. Things were getting worse and they stay above it in a bubble. We expect that of Republicans. They started the election with 9 points more than the Republicans and singlehandedly lost everything. Then they have the gall to say they are doing what the people want them to do. They are happy if they are doing well themselves and will not change a thing if they themselves are rich.

Why didn't Elizabeth Warren run in 2016? Can she win in 2020?

Thanks for the A2A. Elizabeth Warren certainly would have made a better candidate in 2016 than did Hillary Clinton, however the Democrats had decided that Hillary Clinton was their savior and a guaranteed win for POTUS. The DNC and Hillary Clinton colluded to steal any opportunity away from Bernie Sanders in 2016 which was probably a good thing because the U.S. isn’t ready for a Socialist President and probably never will be in my lifetime. I doubt though that Warren would have fared any better against the DNC, Hillary and her supporters. As for whether or not Warren can win in 2020, there are many factors to consider. First, how the economy is doing will be crucial for any candidate. If we’re still seeing historical gains in the market, record lows in unemployment and companies are manufacturing their products in America as well as investing here, Trump will be hard to beat. Additionally, Warren continues to cling to this fantasy that she has Native American heritage even though today her published DNA reports that she is only 1/1,024th Native American…that’s about 0.09%. Anyone in America probably has at least that much Native American blood in them but Warren used this claim to secure employment at Harvard Law school as a minority. This may come back to haunt her. Today the Cherokee Nation came out publicly basically lambasting Warren for her claim by stating there is no way she could possibly be linked to any Tribal Nation.I don’t know what’s going to happen in 2020. I do think however that the Democrats have a lot of cleaning up to do. They need another platform…any platform besides, “Hate Trump”, “Impeach Trump” and “Deny, Resist & Obstruct.” They need to get in touch with the average American citizen and explain what they want to do, how they’re going to do it and how it will benefit America. They need to abandon Identity Politics and can’t afford to call half the nation’s denizens, “A basket of Deplorables.”

Why would someone as ethical as Elizabeth Warren unconditionally endorse Hillary Clinton if Clinton is as evil as Sander's supporters claim?

Ouch! The supposition is that Hillary Clinton is evil, as per Bernie Sanders’ supporters. Let’s get one thing straight here: most of Senator Sanders’ supporters are GOP Progressives and Moderates “raging against” the political Conservative (“PoliCon”) Fascist propaganda machine that runs their party and being egged on by the Firebagger (Libertarian) trolls hired by the PoliCons to try and knock Hillary Clinton out of the race. Also remember that, when Clinton and Sanders were both Senators, their votes matched 93% of the time and a study done of the Left/Right political adherence by Senators rated only Warren as more “Lefty” than Clinton during Clinton’s time in the Senate. I would surmise, then, that Warren’s political ideology is not much different than Clinton’s, therefore, she committed her unconditional support. However, if Clinton truly were “evil” and her ideology was very different than Warren’s, it would be a head-scratcher if Warren supported her. As that’s not the case, Warren supporting Clinton makes sense.

Will Elizabeth Warren run for president?

No. The equation for defeating trump means choosing between winning and feeling good. Nominating Elizabeth Warren is the feel good choice. For the Democrats to win will require playing serious hard ball and Ms. Warren is too polite. Being polite lost the 2016 election. If you want to defeat the bully known as trump you must treat him as any bully deserves to be treated. When trump pulled that come from behind stalking stunt at the debates with Hillary she just ignored him. After she lost she stated that she regretted not calling him out for the creep he is. All of this is not to say you have to be crude to deal with trump but you must be prepared to relentlessly attack his record, his persona, his misdeeds, and his lack of any accomplishment other than to divide this country. Hillary either couldn’t or wouldn't throw the gloves off. The Democratic party needs a candidate willing to take the battle to Commander Bone Spurs, call him out for who he is and give him no quarter. The Democratic party needs to draw from its younger leaders and not the 70+ year olds. I am not being misogynistic in my assessment; there are a handful of young Democratic women leaders who know what I am talking about and are qualified to do the job.

Is it possible for Elizabeth Warren, if she runs, to beat President Trump in 2020?

Senator Warren has made several critical mistakes in a row since the election cycle which have greatly diminished her popularity, and what’s worse is she does not appear to be course correcting. Before the election cycle which saw Trump take the White House, she was viewed a pure, anti - Wall Street populist, but then she refused to run herself or endorse Bernie Sanders.Withholding her endorsement began to appear as a political calculation, which was suddenly a stark contrast to the uncompromising, unyielding force which Sanders became. Then she said nothing during the Dakota Access Pipeline debates until they became a foregone conclusion and she had nothing to risk, whereas Sanders condemned the situation from the start. She voted in favour of Ben Carson while Sanders did not. And finally she refused to answer the honest and straightforward question of why she did not endorse Sanders when given the opportunity.Basically, at this point, she’s seen as a watered down version of Sanders - a half-measure. Tulsi Gabbard may in fact be on the road to replace her as Sanders’ runner up. All that said, I like Senator Warren, I believe she’s simply doing what she needs to to ensure the DNC doesn’t treat her the way it did Sanders - she’s playing that game. But voters hate the game. That is why Sanders is the most popular politician in the US, so I don’t see that technique working for her in 2020. And while polls are almost a joke so far from an election (and just in general when you have a large segment of voters who don’t take Internet or phone polls) this is some small indicationPoll: Trump trails generic Democrat, but not Warren, in 2020

Will women vote for Elizabeth Warren for president?

I suspect nearly all of the women who voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016 would vote for Elizabeth Warren if the Democrats were insane enough to nominate her in 2020. The only exception might be a lot of female indigenous Americans. However, she’d probably pick up a few votes Hillary didn’t get because they didn’t show up at the polls in 2016.All in all, it would probably be a wash on the female vote. The biggest problem with nominating Warren is that it would mean the Democrats had learned absolutely nothing from what happened in 2016. In that event, I can see my jokes about the Dems finally trying something new a year into Ivanka’s second term becoming reality…
