Does Anyone Know About Uk Employment Law That Is Current

What action can the government take to increase employment in the UK?

Are there any changes in employment law (to encourage employers to take on staff and people to take up jobs)) or other action in terms of spending on infrastructure (if so on what sort of projects) that might help?

Also, what factors determine the level of employment in a country like the UK?

Any guidance would be appreciated.....

Many thanks.

Are you legally obligated to tell your current employer if you got arrested and are being charged?

Depends, for example: 1) Is it addressed in, for example, your employee manual, union contract, work rules/policies or hiring agreement? 2) If not, is it related to your work in any way (e.g. a DUI and you are a driver)? 3) If you are actually found guilty.

If your employer has a website you may be able to find some guidance such as an employee manual, union contract or a blank job application that may address it. If not, call HR and ask if you can pick up a copy of any of the above. You could also ask to review your employee file to see if you signed anything when you were hired that requires it.

Sometimes telling them won't get you fired, but not telling them will.

What action can a company take when an employee is absconding from work?

Action differs depending upon amount, turbulence caused because of your action, you supervisor's obbervations and individual tolerance levels of organisations. It could be following :P.S- please read till the endCompany will contact you to get tobthe root cause and validateThere are some genuine cases, which company buys and councils employees without any actionIf your act is perceived as bad attitudinal, depending upon conditions, company may take strict actions such as:Putting your status as NEVER REHIREBlacklisting you from company, forums and societiesIf the damage is substantial, companies may file court cases.Your salary may be put on holdIf you owe something to the firm and if goes unpaid, you may get legal notice. My opinion: dont abscond. If you have done it already, ensure that you call your manager and settle any disputes. Clear all company bills and get clean full and final letter from the firm.Buddy, world could prove to be a lot smaller that we could ever imagine and hence make friends as many as you can, dont burn bridges. Industry is small and you dont want to meet those whom you backstabbed. When I was a manager, an employee just absconded after first salary. I felt very bad when I got to know that it was preplanned and they were not serious about the job. 2 year later that person called me for a job as he was badly in need of one. I had an excellent profile opening but I could not offer him co I did not trust him. Whenever I get calls ( informal ) seeking feedback for him, I can't lie and I am sure he is still paying for his mistakes.

Do you have any unrestricted right to work for any employer in the US?

Yes. If you are a US citizen and have no criminal convictions then the answer is yes.

My employer terminated me and said I can never speak to anybody at work again. Is this breaking employment/labor laws?

If your employer simply fired you outright and offered no severance, your former employer has no authority to restrict your actions. The only way that an employer can impose restrictions on you past the moment of your termination is if your employer offers you a conditional severance agreement, in which you agree to forgo something you would otherwise be entitled to do in exchange for some thing of value (to you) from your former employer. Thus, while your former employer may forbid you from ever setting foot on property owned by that employer, and thus may prevent you from talking with other employees while on the employer’s property, there is nothing your former employer can do to stop you from talking to them outside of work hours or off the employer’s property. Note, however, that the employer can in theory order his or her other employees not to talk to you, and can discipline those who disregard this directive.

Can I be forced to clean bathrooms by my employer?

I know if you do housekeeping, you must have a hepatitis shot before performing any cleaning duties. I do not have this shot, but my current employer is trying to force me to clean the disgusting women's restrooms. Can they legally do this if I don t have this shot? I ve heard coworkers say the same thing but was curious if this was true. I am asking this question again because I am adding further details. I make doors. I was told nothing about having to clean anything at all, let alone those disgusting bathrooms in which the women actually piss on the floors and throw pads and tampons on the ground. I signed no contract stating that I have to clean the restroom. I refuse simply because I'm not risking a disease. If they would like to pay for my medical bills, then I would do so. Unfortunately they are a very greedy company so this would be an impossibility. I am willing to be fired before anyone makes a rude comment about that.
