Does Anyone Know An Electric Guitar Brand That Has Good Quality But Under $200

I am planning to buy an electric guitar, but what brand/model should I get?

Instead of masturbating about my dream guitar(s), I am going to give you a couple of things to look for when shopping. Here is what you should look into for your first guitar:1. Find something that stays in-tune.  Playing a guitar that goes out of tune in 5 minutes can be a total buzz-kill, especially when you are still a beginner.  2. Find something that you think looks cool.  One guy said it, and I think it needs repeating.  If you don't like the way your guitar looks, you won't want to play it as much.  Plus, people will comment on it when they see it, which will only make you want to master the instrument more so that when they compliment your guitar, you respond by melting their faces.3. Get Humbuckers - All of the music you listen to has one thing in common (all of these guitarists play humbuckers or active pickups).  Active pickups are a lot cheaper nowadays, so that is an option for you, but I will tell you now that these guitars are not the best beginner guitars because they pick up every mistake you make while playing.  It can be unforgiving for less technical-savvy players.4. Spend more than $200, but less than $500.  Anything under $200 will not stay in tune, and you will want to quit playing guitar after a week with a shitty guitar.  You can definitely get something good in the $300 - $500 range.  I say, shop craigslist and used music stores.  You can find a really good used guitar at your budget.  New budget guitars have gotten considerably better in the last 10 years though, so there's that.

Is SX a good brand for electric guitars?

You'll get better answers if you post in the correct section, but I'll help as much as I can.

These cheap bundles are not the way to go if you want to learn to play, the guitar will not be set up correctly, it'll just be as it came off the production line. Since it won't be set up right, it'll be hard for an accomplished musician to play it well, and it'll be almost impossible for a beginner to learn to play it.
A well made, correctly set up, instrument will be a lot easier to play, and you're more likely to continue to play it. With a cheap instrument you'll find that it keeps going out of tune, and you'll get so frustrated with trying to get it to sound right that you'll almost certainly give up.

I suggest that you increase your budget, and get along to a reputable guitar shop, and see what they can do for you. An inexpensive practise amp will do to get you started, but you need to spend a lot more on the guitar to get one that you can learn on. At least if you buy it from a proper shop, they will set it up correctly, and you won't have to worry about the intonation or action being wrong.

I used to know a guy who ran a guitar shop, and he had a profitable side line from customers who had bought cheap guitars from places like Amazon, then bought them to his shop to get them set up correctly.

Where can I donate my electric guitar?

Hey! So I have an electric guitar, I barely played on it. So it's still pretty brand new, the guitar is about $200. I was looking to donate it for free. Anyone know any good organizations, or music schools, or anything like that where I can give my guitar to them. Particularly the little ones where they can't afford it but seeks the passion to learn how to play. I want to give it away for a good cause rather than just a cool item someone found. Thanks.

What's a good acoustic guitar brand?

Hi Taylor.
Well... I recomend you a Fender or a Gibson guitar.
Fender and Gibson are the best brands for an acoustic guitar, trust me. The only problem is that they are very expensive.
If you are looking for a cheaper one, yes, Yamaha is the best choise. Yamaha guitars are well known for providing the best sounding guitars in the market with a good price tag.

xx

Are the silvertone electric guitars at walmart any good?

You can pick up a Squire Strat (made by Fender) for around $200 good guitar, Gibson has a low end called the Maestro for under $200 own both and have been happy with them. Check musiciansfriend.com many good deals n decent guitars. Epiphone also has a Les Paul for around $250 also a Gibson company only difference is the grade of wood used. All three mentioned are decent guitars and made by brand name companies, would lean towards them.

What is a good brand for an acoustic guitar?

Obviously the best thing to do is go to a music store and just start playing. Just because a guitar isn't expensive doesn't mean it doesn't sound great. You have to look for those diamonds in the rough and don't even worry about the brand. Just play.

If I had to give you a quality brand that sounds good more often than not that is fairly cheap I would have to say Takamine.

What is a good and inexpensive acoustic electric guitar?

You're not going to find a good one for under $200 unless it's some moron selling it at a garage sale or pawn shop who doesn't know what it is worth.

If you're looking for a good cheap semi-acoustic, go for a yamaha, A&L or Applause but they aren't that great, and will still run approx 300-500 bucks.

Why don't you just buy a regular acoustic guitar (for $200-300), like a nice cheap sturdy Yamaha or Jasmine and play that while you save up money for a decent semi-acoustic (Takamine, Ovation, etc)
