Chicago birthday party?

for my birthday i was gonna ask a few friends to go to chicago. i know some possibilites of what we could do. not all of these at the same time of coarse but:
navy pier
sears tower skydeck
shop
modern at wing
millenium park
shed aquarium
ice skating
hancock for lunch or dessert
okay these sound like expensive things but i mean everyone would pay for themselves and we only do like one of these things because if i did all of this i would end up spending SO much money its not even funny. I know chicago like the back of my hand but does anyone know of some other fun things to do with my friends (maybe guys and girls). i will be 15. i know i sound young but my parents trust me with this and ive been to chicago hundreds of times

Bars in Chicago that don't card to enter?

I'm having a Bachelorette party and everyone is of age except my sister who is 19 and she doesn't drink so that won't be a problem. But want to spend the night in Chicago, bar crawl possibly. I want to be sure she'll be able to get into a few bars. Could be a lame question, I have a feeling everywhere in Chicago would card to get in. Are there some places that start carding after a certain time, maybe we could get in early enough? Do restaurant/hotel bars card? Any input is appreciated. Thanks!

Where should I have my 21st birthday party? (Chicago Suburbs)?

I live in Wheaton, IL, a suburb of Chicago. The nearest big cities are Naperville, Lisle, West Chicago, etc.

Now, my house is off limits due to younger siblings.

I don't have any friends house I can count on.

A banquet hall will probably be too pricey ($2,000+).

I'm currently thinking about a one night house rental, but I'm not having any luck finding out any info about that.

Just so you know, I'm planning to make this the best party of my life, for personal reasons, so I'm trying to get everything right. Lots of people, lots of chicks, lots of music, and lots of drinks.

Any thoughts, comments, suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated.

What to do in chicago for new years under 21?

First, let me tell you that you if you come to Chicago with the expectation that you will somehow manage to slip into a club or bar "under the radar", just forget about that right now, cuz it's not gonna happen. Chicago establishments are very keen on identifying and preventing under agers from getting to clubs and bars. They usually have a scanning machine and require EVERYONE to turn over their ids for the scan. If not getting in would ruin your trip, then don't waste time and money coming! Also, realize that it will be ABSOLUTELY FREEZING in Chicago at that time and you WILL need hats, gloves, and heavy coats (don't bother coming without these things like many tourists do, believing since it's only a weekend, they can get away with a sweatshirt or heavy sweater - forget about that! Due to Chicago's layout, you will spend a substantial amount of time outside, especially at New Years, so take my sage advice.

I'd say the #1 thing to do in Chicago (particularly if you are under 21 and you'll have NO other options) at New Years Eve is to go to Navy Pier. Navy Pier always has a bit party going on and a water front fireworks show to ring in the New Year. I believe you may be able to attend one of the parties even if you are under 21 (because they give out bracelets if you are 21/able to drink) - Google it. Again, bear in mind that this is largely an outdoor location and you will need to be outside for the fireworks, etc. so dress properly!

I think you should rent a hotel room VERY close to Navy Pier so you can walk there, since the whole city if be at a traffic standstill about 20 minutes to midnight (the Police actually STOP ALL traffic so you cannot get a taxi, or travel in any other way than by foot if you are in downtown Chicago). I recommend that rent a room at the Sheridan or at the W on the Magnificent Mile. You can be sure to warm up with drinks (non--alcoholic of course) just before you leave the room to join the action. Walk down Magnificant mile and be sure to stop for dessert at the Signature Room, located on the 95th floor of the John Hancock Building. AMAZING views! Be sure to have reservations. During the day, you should definitely go ice skating in Millennium Park.
