Does Anyone Know How To Completely Get All Or Mostly All Of The Sand Out Of My Hair/head

I get salt-like crystals in my hair, what is it?

I've noticed it once in a while for years, mostly when I haven't washed my hair for a few days. In the last month or so, by the end of the day I notice tons of these crystals. They're clearish and really look like salt or sand.

I switched to Head and Shoulders thinking it was some kind of dandruff, but it's still just as bad even within 5-6 hours of washing my hair.

It's nothing you can see, but if I run my hands through it I can feel them. I've been washing my hair twice every morning (agressively, not enough to hurt or anything, though) for the last two weeks and it's still bothering me.

I don't dye or treat my hair with anything, or use any gel or spray. I also don't tan and haven't been outside much at all lately. The only thing I've used lately is Head and Shoulders shampoo, that's it.

Any idea what it is, or how to make it stop? It drives me nuts.

Weird feeling and sound in the back of my neck when hungry...?

I too have been getting the same weird - rushing water/rain stick/crackling/ noise and feeling in the back of my neck. I just this morning noticed that it usually happens in the morning time when I am hungry. Like you said it doesnt hurt it just feels weird and annoys me. I have also noticed that I get a little bit of an uneasy feeling in my stomache as well when this happens. Not quite a wave of nausea but, more an uneasyness that makes me feel a little sick to my stomach. As the noise fades so does the feeling. I used to get it every so often but, now I notice it most mornings at work. This morning it was the worst it has ever been it lasted for almost a minute reocurring several times before finaly subsiding. This time it realy made me sick to my stomache.

I have noticed that many people suffer from this and as you said no-one knows what it is!! Strange for all of us to feel this and it not be explained. Im hoping to find out what this is to ease my mind!!!

I also wanted to point something out that may or may not be directly related... a couple of years ago soda started tasting like metal to me...Coke and pepsi in particular...i can still drink Dr. Pepper.

Also, I have had horrible pressure and pain in my head at times from laughing too hard, getting up quickly or overexurtion. its not all the time but, it does happen. Not sure if either are related.

Ill keep on the lookout as well and update back if I find anything. So far this is all I have found of intetest.

***Im not sure if this has anything to do with it.....but, I am really digging and keep finding information that leads me back to this condition called Chiari Malformation...Its a malformation in the brain which causes rushes of spinal fluid at the base of the neck and can be associated with severe pressure headaches and nausea. Its worth it to check it out!!*****

Why do i have a piece of white hair?

today, my friend pointed out that i had a white piece of hair so i yanked it out. the bottom half was black (i have black hair naturally) and then it was whitish blonde (mostly white) and then at the root it started to get dark again. i don't know why this happens but i have never seen it before in my hair, and i was wondering if this is a sign of me going gray. i am a teenager and my dad did start going gray when he was about 20 so is it hereditary?

What is the meaning of Islamic headgear for men?

Well, it's not "Islamic", as you could gather from the fact that it's practically unheard of in majority-Muslim societies such as Malaysia. In fact it's very uncommon outside of the Arabian peninsula. In standard written Arabic, it's known as a kufia, in reference to the city of Kufa in Iraq where this style was pioneered in around the 7th-8th century. I suppose it's meant to evoke a sense of bedouin-ness: the cloth is simple and can be carried anywhere, and the black band tied around it is a uqal, which was initially used to hobble camels by tying them around their knee joints. So the earliest of them looked like this This dude lived in, I would guess, Kuwait or maybe the Zubair area of Iraq. With time, the thinner purpose intended uqul became the norm for men's headgear. It generally remained limited to nomadic bedouin in the Arabian Peninsula and Iraq, however, until political events in the 20th century. Before the Palestine Revolt of 1936, a typical Palestinian villager looked like thisWhile the urban Palestinians looked more like When the rebellion against British rule and Zionist settlement began, the revolutionaries quickly realised that the easiest form of disguise was to adopt the headgear of the bedouin, and thereby be able to convincingly able to cover their faces without being questioned, and to blend inIt became so popular that, one day, the Palestinian national leader would choose to wear the same headgear

When riding a motorcycle, why do women wear this?

Most of the other folks answered your question correctly. But since we are on the subject of bandanas and motorcycle riding, let me add a few other uses for them on the road. It's a smart idea to keep a couple of them with you at all times. If you are riding out west, and you get caught in a sand storm or even strong wind, you can tie one around your face to protect you from abrasion from the sand and also so you can breath.Good idea even if you wear a helmet.Sand has a way of finding a way in your nose. For people that ride bikes without a front fender, you can tie one to your forks and it will keep the rooster tail from hitting you in the face if you are caught in the rain. Also good to wipe your hands with if you end up having to do some kind of maintenace on the side of the road. And if you find yourself in the middle of nowhere and need to take a dump you have something to wipe your bum with.So it's not just a fashion statement as some have suggested. So to those who answered in such a manner,it is evident that you don't have that much experince on the road.Or at best you are a bunch of fair weather riders. Also about the helmet thing, let those who ride decide. And another thing about having to wrench on my bike on the side of the road,I would ride my shovelhead to california today and not worry.I know I can fix whatever happens.I might not show up fast, but I would show up on some class.Sorry I got a little carried away there at the last.Anyway,be safe, and keep the rubber side down,Buck

I used to be pretty as a small kid now i am ugly! help?

well i am asian (not japanese)
so i do't have that entire perfect skin stuff.. in fact my skin is so distorted (on my face) that i hate it! it has acne scars, white head scars, and its all darkish and dull !
when I was younger.. like a kid my face was clean no blemishes or anything!.. and my black eyes were big and there was absolutely nothing wrong!..last year i gained weight but i lost it and went down to 115 lbs at 5'4''. however my eyes seem to have shrunk..(my mom as big eyes,.. and i even think she is alot more prettier than me!) i wear annoying glasses! my eyes are way too high in my face. my face is dull... at my lunch table today (which is a bunch of nerds and geeks.. no offense) a girl told another girl (which isn't very popular in fact i think everyone thinks she is annoying) that she was most likely to be next top model. and she added on to make it more clear that she was trying to say that, the girl was the prettiest girl sitting at this table! .and let me tell you this girl only has average looks compared to everyone in the school. and I was also sitting at this table right next to her! and those words that she said stung! it made me feel lower than ever!..the thing is that i was quite proud of my complextion before (healthy bright, glowing paler skin,, bright red lips.. and my eyes were considerably bigger! but now it has all disappeared!

Its hard transitioning from pretty to ugly! can you give some tips to a girl who has broken her self Esteem and would like to regain that childhood beauty?

Daycare is sending my daughter home covered in dirt?

As a previous day care teacher and a parent. I understand where your coming from. First of all her hands should be washed as soon as she comes in from being outside-it's a regulation they have to follow. Second of all a good teacher would simply grab a baby wipe and wipe down her face. Sand is hard to get out of her hair, especially if she likes to throw or another child likes to dump sand, etc. Same goes with her shoes, a child care provider needs to leave the shoes on so they don't know if the sand is in there. My kids are 6 and a half, 5 and 4 and they have wood chips in their shoes every day. As far as her clothes and jacket go, be straight forward with the teacher and suggest they shake her jacket pockets out or rub the sand off her clothes before taking her inside. Voice your concerns to the teachers and if there is no improvement take it to the director. But get used to the bathing everyday. I'm not looking forward to summer for that exact reason. I have to bathe my children every single day, which gets exhausting. Well, I hoped I helped a little.

Good luck.
