Does Anyone Know Why My 9 Month Old Puppy Suddenly Cannot Sit Down Whimpers And Paces

I desparately need help house training my 7 month old puppy.?

I just moved into a new apartment and if he doesnt catch on quickly, unfortunately, I will have to get rid of him. I love him deeply but I refuse to live in a place that smells like the dog pound

Why does my dog follow me around the house all the time?

Dogs are not pack animals. (Update link.) And dogs certainly don't think people are other dogs. That would be a pretty nonfunctional evolution! Just consider: when the dog wants to go outside, it looks at you to open the door. It knows you can do things dogs can't do. Because you. are. not. a. dog. And it knows this.Your dog follows you because it's highly social - has a powerful emotional need for companionship - and knows that you are super-cool. You are the source of all good things in its life: food, walks, rides, treats, toys. Who knows what amazing thing will happen wherever you're going? Plus, unless you are very standoffish toward your pet, he knows that you frequently want him around anyway: often you outright call him to come see you! So he's over-fulfilling your requests: anticipating (in an admittedly self-centered way) your needs.

11 months old not waving, clapping, pointing or saying mama or dada?

i read all these books and i know they get me obssessed with what my baby should be doing but i dont know anyone who has a baby and i dont trust my pediactrician cuz i live in a third world country and most doctors are clueless, i tell her my concerns she just shrugs them off but she got me worried over the waving thing since 9 months but she says there's nothing we can do about it we have to wait and see. my baby is very active, she's not yet walking she's crawling and cruising and can stand alone for a min or so. she can feed herself with her fingers and can use a sippy cup and can press on all the buttons of her toys, but my concern is, i cant teach her anything. i cant teach her to wave bye bye or clap or say any words, she just started babbling a couple of months ago but no mama or dada just dadadadada or nananana without meaning anything. she never points to things she wants, she doesnt even raise her arms when she wants to be carried she just grunts and screams. she doesnt like to be hugged much but she crawls to me and pulls up on my legs when she sees me. she laughs and smiles and seems pretty normal, but i read what other babies are doing and i am amazed. i mean they say some babies actually can point to pictures of things or bark when u say dog i mean there's no way my baby can do that! i cant get her to sit still for a minute to actually look at a picture book anyway! and i cant teach her to stack blocks or put rings on a pole she's not interested and doesnt seem to understand. is there something wrong with her? are other babies her age really doing these things??? please help me..

Thundershirt for a 1 year old rottweiler?

I have a one year old female Rottweiler. We've had her since she was a puppy and from the beginning she's been an "anxious" dog. As a puppy, if we left the house for even minutes (we've crated her when we leave from day one), she would go the bathroom in her kennel, cover herself in it, and kick it out. She also did this overnight occasionally. However, we eventually overcame that and she hasn't done it in over six months. Now our problem with her is taking her ANYWHERE. She's awesome in the car and is completely calm, but no matter where we are, she never ever calms down until she gets back home. She pants, paces, runs, jumps, chews, etc. non-stop in any place but our house. Even at my mom's house, which she's visited since puppyhood, we can be there for days and she will never stop. Every time someone moves it's like she's just meeting them. She whines in her kennel, eats rarely. She'll even manage to escape her Kong kennel if we leave her in it somewhere other than home.

We've tried EVERYTHING from something simple like providing her with new interesting toys to keep her occupied (she has no interest where, if she was home, she'd chew it until it was in pieces in the first go) to store bought anxiety pills for dogs (tried once and it literally made no difference). Our last resort is the Thundershirt.

Do you think the Thundershirt would work for her or is her anxiety too severe?
