What are the oldest cities in Texas?

this isnt the top awnser... but Ill go ahead and put the ones I personally know. Nacodoches is the oldest city in texas. It is built on top of a big native American village. Basically its one of the oldest cities in north america... if you count the native american habitation. Im from north east texas... most of our towns started in the 1860's. We got a few older one's. There is a small town called de kalb that was started in the 1830's.According to some county histories a community had begun to take shape in the winter of 1835, when Davy Crockett  visited the site on his way to the Alamo. These sources claim that when  Crockett enquired about the name of the town, residents told him it had  none and then asked him to name it. He suggested the name of the  Prussian Baron de Kalb, a general of the American revolutionary army. The area had been part of the caddo tribes territory... but they were attacked by another tribe and basically fell apart. They joined other parts of their tribes in like waco and louisina. White immigrants started taking over the area around 1803 on both sides of the red river. ( the river that forms the border of north texas. ) While alot of people still ranch... almost all the farmers are north of the red river now in oklahoma. my family moved here frome tennesse in the 1840's. They were all farmers until ww2. As were most of the people in the area. ( just a little more info you didnt want! )
