Does Circle K Sell Headphones

How do I fix a Mac that just shows a crossed-out circle while starting up?

If you can't boot to recovery it's possible (and, I believe, likely) that your hard drive mechanism has failed. You didn't say which Mac you have, but if it supports Internet Recovery, then you can hold down ⌘-Option-R to force a boot into Internet Recovery. (This requires a network connection — both Ethernet and Wi-Fi are supported.)An Internet Recovery boot will work even if your hard drive has totally failed. (It will work even if you remove the hard drive completely!)Internet Recovery takes a long time to boot (because it has to download a bootable system from Apple's servers), but after it gets going, you'll be able to run Disk Utility and try and repair your hard drive using First Aid.If Disk Utility does not find any hard drives, it means your hard drive has failed and needs to be replaced.

Why did Apple design such an uncomfortable earphone that can't even stay in my ears for 5 mins?

Most people find the current earpods stay put far better than the original earbuds did, and sound better and have the remote in addition.  I also appreciate that they don't block the ear canal or cover your ears, so I can still hear what's going on around me without pulling them out, I can just mute them with the remote, or turn them down some. If I'm really trying to ignore outside sounds, I use Comply foam tips on earbuds or an active noise-canceling model. However, Apple probably did it: 1) to keep costs down, while 2) providing a nice third party market for upgrading earphones, but then realizing 3) that it was such a nice profitable market segment, but the only cut they got was if the phones were sold via an Apple Store, leading to 4) the very expensive acquisition of Beats, so you can buy Apple-profitable phones right from them.PS there are many inexpensive earbuds with ear hooks designed for active sports that you could try, if you're really moving around, and in-ear monitors are as uncomfortable for you as the earpods apparently are.

What is the inset circular metal button on the back of the new iPod Touch?

Well that button has a certain functionality to it. From popping the button you can use it to attach it to the wrist strap. The iPod Touch Loop simply pops up when you push on it and then you attach the strap, it's that simple. Every iPod Touch 5G comes with the same color loop to match the iPod. The “iPod touch loop” attaches with a pop-out button. Though the initial images may have looked like Apple’s packed-in wrist strap attached magnetically, the iPod touch actually has a swirled metal button that pops out of the case’s back to provide a place to attach a flexible strap. Apple will also sell iPod touch loops separately.

What do the icons on Facebook Messenger mean?

The icons used in Facebook Messenger let you know when your messages have been sent, delivered and read. They have been changing over the past few months, but as of writing, the current set used in the Android and iOS apps follows:A blue circle means your message is sendingA blue circle with a checkmark means your message has been sentA filled-in blue circle with a checkmark means your message has been deliveredA small version of your friend's photo will pop up below the message when they've read itThe time between your message is sending and your message has been sent should be brief - if it isn't, there might be a problem with your connection or with Facebook. Delivered may be the one you care about most - that means it's on your friend's device and your friend can read the message.Pro tip: if you tap message, you can see exactly what time it was seen by your friend. For example, before tapping on the message:After tapping on the message ("Were"):So I know that my message was seen right after I sent it at 1:03 AM. If you are sending a message to a group of friends, tapping the message will show you the names of the friends who have read it in additional to seeing their profile photo.A confusing past: the set of icons being used have changed over time. Just 2-3 months ago, this is what you would have seen instead:You'll notice that the same icon (an open blue circle) has been used to mean two different things!I can only imagine that the sent, delivered and read concepts have been difficult for the product's designers to convey to people, and as a result they have had to continue iterating to find a set that is intuitive and easy to understand. Here's hoping they've landed on a set that works!

Mom wont let me listen to Metal?

So for the past 6 years I've been listening to metal. For the most parts my favorites are generally alternative/nu/trash metal (my point is I don't listen to death/black/satanic metal). It hasn't been until tonight that my mom confronted me about this and explained her disapproval of my taste in music. At first I though she just didn't like the sound of it, but soon it turned into her trying to convince me that nothing good can come out of screaming and that metal in general is all about anger and nothing good comes out of anger. Long story short I am not allowed to listen to metal anymore until I convince her otherwise.

Basically I was wondering if anyone has any tips or arguments I could use that would help me earn my "right" to listen to music again
