Does Cox Cable Charge You To Have Your Cable Tv Turned Off

Does internet history show up on the Cox Cable bill?

I accidnetly clicked on a porn site and I didnt mean to.
I dont view porn anyway. I am a prechers kid.
And I dont want my mom and dad finding out.
I am so scared!

Will Cox shut off my internet and cable if I'm 6 days late?

Probably not but I would call them ahead of time, like now and say you had unexpected expenses, is there a grace period in which you can pay so that you won't be shut off? Maybe they can make a notation in your account so that it won't get turned off.

Cox cable or directv?

I had cable for a lotta years. Had some trouble mostly too expensive and got higher all the time. DirecTV is great. No problems and love how it works. We have a line for the laptop through the phone that is great. Works well, only recently had concerns with slowness when they were upgrading. Good Luck but stick to D-TV!

Can I cut Cox Cable TV service and keep Internet Service to run my Samsung SmartTV?

Yes.....but I have worked for many cable companies, just not Cox. I have had them, but never had the opportunity to be in your shoes. Even though I say this I have a good idea what it would be like... Protocol, especially when it comes to cable companies, is that you always have to keep the customer on the same plan or upgrade the. So, for you to call in asking to cancel a service is blasphemy! Who cares! Here is most likely how the conversation will go:Ring Ring - Ring Ring: You call in and tell them you want to drop cable and keep internet. They say: "In order to do that you will not be able to keep your bundle rate, and we will have to charge you $XXX.XX"Most people say: "That's ridiculous! But, I guess those are the rules so I will pay $XXX.XX just to keep my internet."OR - "Ugh, I might as well keep the TV, so the a few months from now my bill can go even higher. But, I guess those are the rules" You will say: " Hmmm, seems to be like a little much. May I speak to your manager please" They reply: "..... He/She is busy right now....." You reply: " That's totally fine, she probably is busy answering the same question I am about to ask. I'll be patient. What was your name again? They reply: "(Sample name)" You reply: "Thats right, (Sample name), thank you for helping me out." Manager jumps on the phone: "How can I help you?" You tell them the same thing and add: "I see that you are giving internet only for $X but the previous rep told me it would be $XXX.XX, if that's the case I would like to cancel services. They will rebuttal you for a minute, but stay strong you will soon get what you want. Just remember that deal isn't going to last very long, and you'll have to repeat this conversation many times. I hope this helps!

Is it possible to still watch cox cable in a multiple tv household with only one box?

soo today we just got cox but we only have one cable box ....
is it still possible to watch TV in one room with the box and watch TV in another room without at the same time?

Can I purchase my own HD cable receiver box?

I am a Cox Cable (Orange County) customer. I currently rent one HD DVR cable box for $6 or $7 per month.

I am now purchasing a 2nd HD TV so I need another receiver box. I prefer not to rent as I anticipate using it for awhile and Cox Cable charges a $20 activation fee. Would I have to still pay this activation fee if I purchase my own receiver (rather than renting a 2nd one from them)?

I see different models of Motorola digital cable boxes on eBay but some of them warn of compatability issues. Are there really different formats or technologies that vary between cable providers? Aside from buying the same box as the one I already have, is there a way to find out which boxes would work for me? Cox Cable is not helpful as it is in their best interest to have me as a rental customer so they want me to believe that is my only option.

Note that DVR is not a concern either way. If it has it great, if not that is fine too as I can do all the recording I need to on my existing DVR.

What is the average Cable TV / Internet subscription Fee in the US?

this started in the seventies with pay tv and grew up into the greedie cable companys of today sure setup was expensive but now the system is in and they just want to perform a total cashectomy on the customers . here is somthing I called varizon to ask if fios is avaliable in carteret NO well could you notify me when its available ? they sent me a dialup modem and no connection to the system  I have a cellphone  I sent it back to them registered mail they billed me for service   didnt have . I told them I'am not connected to your system , they continued to bill me then they turned me over to a collection agency , which probably used the skiptrace data base for my ss number . I didnt give them any financial information varizon wanted almost three hundred dollars for no service . I took them to the attourney generals office in newark and started a suit against them and had to prove that I had no service with varizon , the signed green card on the modem and my cell phone bill and no signed work order for installation . the privacy act what a BAD JOKE varizon real thives . Time was tv and ham radio were free advertizers paid the bill , but now premium channels have more advertizing than channel eleven at three in the morning. I just got a bill from comcast for $245. tv / internet the promotions are over . bye bye ComcastI

What is the difference between cable TV and DirecTV packages? How do I choose?

Making a decision among cable TV and DirecTV packages becomes even more of a challenge for customers. Let’s have a look on the major comparisons and differences between the cable TV and DirecTV packages.Cable provides more flexibility, requires less equipment to install and typically has a wider variety of packages.DirecTV is best if you live in a rural area. Satellite is also a better choice for tech junkies and national sports fans.Satellite generally has a better selection of national HD channels, but cable TV is the best when you are looking for local HD channels.Satellite is generally stronger for national news and sports, while cable is generally better for local news.Premium channels are often offered for free for a limited time by both satellite and cable unless a subscriber elects to pay for a premium planMany cable packages do not require long-term commitments but are more expensive on a monthly basis.Satellite tends to provide a better $/channel ratio than cable, and under ideal conditions, satellite HD reception will be better.Cost of directv packages are from $49.99/mon and have modem, lease, and installation charges extra. In cable, Starter TV level costs about $20 per month, with additional service levels costing between $30 and $80 a month.[1] [2]Footnotes[1] Cable & Satellite TV, Internet & Phone (855) 697-7630[2] https://www.thetripleplay.net/bl...

How do I live without cable TV?

I figured cable TV is expensive (cox cable) and I want to cancel my cable service and keep my internet and. Phone.
We only really use cable TV watching bobs burgers, and watching basketball games really... So that's another factor to cancel cable..
After I cancel the cable what is good to subscribe to? We have Netflix.. Would a roku be a good thing to get? I have a ps3 I watch Netflix and crunchy roll on.
Is there a service I can stream regular TV from?
And my basketball games, I am probably going to buy a wireless Google cromecast and subscribe to nba league pass and stream from my computer to the TV.
Is there anyone else that does this ? Watch TV only through subscribing to streaming services? I need suggestions thanks!!

Why is Cox cable so much more expensive than Verizon?

Cox is a tier-2 ISP and cable multi-system operator that has cable franchises scattered willy-nilly across the US, making backhaul more expensive, limiting its market opportunity, and likely reducing its video profit margins due to possessing less negotiating power during carriage negotiations. It’s a privately held company with limited access to capital. It’s tended to be conservative on matters like deploying fiber at a business park even when the ROI potential is clear, and that same penny-pinching attitude may extend to residential services. Cox is ashamed at the size of its unit, yet won’t sell off its assets, because it’s afraid of a little snip below the belt.If you or a loved one pay through the nose for Cox’s set-top boxes, you don’t have to go through it alone. Show Cox who’s boss by replacing your receivers with an HDHomeRun whole-home streaming box, or switch to an over-the-top pay-TV service.
