Does Divergent Annoy Anyone Else

Has anyone read 'Divergent'?

Divergent was terrible and was clearly only written to cash in on the now popular dystopian young adult novel genre. Overly special heroine, attractive bland love interest, factions that will surely churn out marketable merchandise.
Tris is extremely generic and so selfish. I feel like Katniss and her attitude problem in the Hunger Games was what made her more human and therefore a better character than Tris. Katniss had flaws and they were addressed well.
Once again, Divergent is terrible, I only read the first book and did not read the rest. If a book doesn't make me feel anything in the first page I consider it a terrible book the only reason I finished book 1 of Divergent is because I wanted my honest opinion of it to be taken seriously instead of "You didn't read it so you don't get to bash it!!!".

What are the five factions in Divergent?

Abnegation- Selfless
Erudite- Smart and intelligent
Dauntless- brave
Amity-Peaceful
Candor-honest

Does anyone else HATE Shailene Woodley?!?

I know right!! The little b**tch where's too much make up, and if that isn't make up...oh my...its like a sh** did a sh**.little high pitched annoying rat....I hate shailene the little devil...

Do you think DIVERGENT is a good book?

Divergent by Veronica Roth is an incredible book.. In this book, Chicago world society is divided into five factions, Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice Prior, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is—she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself. And later she finds out a secret about herself that may destroy her or save those she love.recommended for 13+ age groups. Its not only about violence but also contains a bit of romance, friendship, family relationships.. really a great book and i found it kind of addicting because i loved the way the characters were depicted especially Theo James. He was totally a rudey & a bossy at the start and turned out to be such a caring and romanticperson .. one of my fav characters <3

Is Four (Tobias Eaton) in film/book Divergent a divergent?

Yes Tobias Eaton is a Divergent.During his aptitude tests he got an Abnegation result, but chose Dauntless as his faction at the Choosing Ceremony to escape his father. During his initiation training, when he went through his fear landscape, it was discovered Tobias only had four fears, with the average being between ten and fifteen which definitely set him apart from others .Four figures out that Tris is Divergent, and though she denies it, he tells her to find a way to conceal it or she could end up dead. Tris wonders if he's Divergent, as well and Tobias tells her that he is a Divergent . when Tobias comes with Tris outside the city they are asked to get a genetic test done by Matthew, a Bureau scientist, Tobias finds out that unlike Tris, he isn't completely Divergent, and therefore genetically damaged (GD), while Tris is genetically pure (GP).
