Why does my Facebook keep logging me out?
There might be 1 of 2 problems: 1- Your cookie settings automatically end your session after a certain period of time. If you know how to edit cookies, then you can change your session time, OR you can just add the login automatically checkbox on login. 2- Someone might be entering your facebook account. Make sure you never receive link on an instant messenger that link to a facebook page if the URL seems different. THat is the ONLY way to enter a facebook account if they have no physical access to your pc (keyloggers, dumping information etc).
Will facebook log you off after being idle for a certain amount of time?
Yes, it might, as long as you don't have 'remember my password/login' checked when you first login. Otherwise it keeps you on 24/7. But as for the chat, it will put you an idle if you're away.

It would appear totally as you see it on there computer aswell! HOWEVER facebook has new login alerts, so if you go to account settings and scroll down you can activate login alerts, this will then tell you if someone else has logged into your account and where from! For the most part the "last active" notification for a given Facebook user in Facebook Messenger is totally bogus/irrelevant. I've researched this topic out of simple curiosity.Believe it or not people have actually ended long-term relationships based on that simple notification, believing their significant-other was ignoring them or worse yet seeing other people behind their backs.
