Does Game Of Thrones Get Better

Does Game of Thrones get better?

A lot of people I know enjoy the show and constantly talk about it at work. I decided to give it a shot, I just finished episode 4 of season 1 and I am extremely bored at the lack of action. I feel like there is too many characters to remember. Does the show eventually pick up?

When does Game of Thrones get good?

This really depends on what you yourself like. If you enjoy fantasy novels and history, you should like this series. But if you're more into, say, action movies or reality TV, maybe Game of Thrones isn't for you.

The series does take a while to set itself up and I would recommend that you persevere and watch the whole first series. GoT has a lot of different characters and storylines and it takes a while to set things up. But when the threads come together it's worth it.

How much better does Game of Thrones get when they add dragons?

It doesn’t. The quality of the show does not change with the addition of dragons. They do add some awesome moments, but so do the White Walkers, Faceless Men, and the political machinations.Really, Daenerys’s plot line becomes significantly less interesting following the introduction of her dragons in the show, though it gets better.

Is Westworld better than Game of Thrones?

Westworld Season 1 was better than Game of Throne Season 6 by a large margin actually.Westworld tackled more interesting dilemmas, handled them with more grace, and didn’t regularly screw up on basic plot coherency issues. Just plain easily superior. However to be clear, I don’t consider Westworld Season 1 to be as strong as Game of Thrones Season 1, let alone as strong of a work as the source book A Game of Thrones. The irony of course is that Westworld Season 1 actually did get better ratings than Game of Thrones Season 1 but nowhere near as strong as Season 6, and Westworld Season 1 probably will get more awards consideration than Game of Thrones Season 1 but less than Season 6.Things are all mixed up, but yeah: Westworld has a long way to go to match Game of Thrones as an accomplishment, but as of right now it is by far the better thing to watch.

What is the best season of Game of thrones?

I ve never watched the series until yesterday when I watched the first episode. It was good, but unfortunately I pretty much know what happens and who dies. Should I continue watching the first season or Gould I skip to the second?

Does SVTFOE get better as it goes on?

Thanks for the A2A, Emma.I would say it does get better. It’s kind of like Steven Universe in that respect, where the first 6 or so episodes are incredibly meh, but then it starts to get better. I don’t really remember that many game-changing episodes of season 1, but by Storm the Castle, it reaches about the same “OH MY GOD THIS IS AMAZEBALLS” feeling as Steven Universe did at Jailbreak or Gravity Falls did at Gideon Rises. And it only gets better, with some exceptions. So, in conclusion, I’d say keep watching it.Hope this answers your question.

When does Game of Thrones start getting exciting?

This is obviously a very subjective question, but here is my contribution.I started watching Game of Thrones and wasn’t really grabbed by the first episode. I was actually pretty confused witth all the characters so I had to do a bit of research before watching the next episode! I watched up to around Season 2 Episode 3 and I appreciated it but I didn’t think it was incredible. I stopped watching it then because I had exams. During my holidays I read the first book and began to appreciate it more - the first season is pretty close to the first book so I was getting to know it more. I then rewatched all the episodes I had seen and then I got to Season 2 Episode 9 - Blackwater.Oh my god. This episode was different - it focussed on one location, the Battle in King’s Landing. The acting, special effects, storyline, even the strategies employed were superb. The ending felt a bit Lord of the Ring-sey and reminded me of my love of fantasy. After that I pretty much binged-watched it until the end of Season 5 (by then Season 6 wasn’t out). Around watching Season 3 I discovered all the theories behind the show and books and became absolutely obsessed with it. I started following Youtube channels about Game of Thrones and watched prediction videos for Season 6. When Season 6 came around (and I wasn’t spoilt for any of the content) I understood how thrilling, emotional and immersive the series could be, as stuff happened that could never have been predicted. Now I am in the middle of the books and excitedly awaiting Season 7.And I am obsessed with this series. Utterly addicted. I went to Northern Ireland purely for a Game of Thrones filming location tour. People buy me Game of Thrones merchandise for presents.Although it is not a strong as it was with the books to guide it, Game of Thrones is a bloody good TV show. The acting, costumes, action, political intrigue, characters, music, story… Everything about it is arguably makes it the best TV show on Earth, and it is highly critically acclaimed. It has revolutionised fantasy and is complex, as well as being violent and thrilling.Your choice of course, but I implore you to continue watching. Once you get to Blackwater you might become obsessed like I was!All the best!

In which season does Game of Thrones become interesting?

It depends on what you like. If you like blood ans sex, you will like season 1 and then lose interest after. If you’re interested in character development, then that starts mostly seasons 2 and 3, that’s when you start loving the evils and rolling your eyes at the heroes. If you’re interested in the “OMG! WTF just happened?! How did I not see that coming?!” then to be fair, it’s always there, to the point where fans of the books and the series are legitimately factoring in the surprise factor in their theories. Meaning that we are like “so X and Y are foreshadowed in here, but because this sounds like the logical theory, then the truth will be the opposite of what we think”… It’s pathetic, I know, but you don’t keep your dignity when you accept to become a ASOIAF fan.If you’re interested in tightly built plots, characters that have distinctive (and interesting) characters, and mind-blowing scripts… then probably seasons 3, 4, and 5. The first season needed to be holliwoodized so they had to drop a lot of the subtlety to increase the mass appeal, and seasons 6 and 7 (as others in the answers mention) were done before the books come out, so the plot is still generally intact but collective writing (no matter how good and talented they are and I am not criticizing them here) does not reach the level of GRRM absolute genius! So in short, Game of Thrones is all interesting… but when you will find what interests you? I have no idea

What's the best Game of Thrones season so far? Has it been declining since season 1 or getting better in quality? Or is it roughly steady?

Thanks for the A2A ! :)The answer to this question has to be stand point. A matter of perspective. The eye of the viewer. My answer is purely based on mine.Anyway.Okay.Game of Thrones is the best fantasy drama T.V Show. Period.Warning: Major Spoilers Ahead.I’ve been following it since from an year after it came out. As a binge watcher and an avid viewer, I guess I can say for all that the show has shown, taught, changed, made us many things. There were times you been completely consumed by the depth of the scenarios. Not Today? :)And well there were times you cried like a bitch. A lot of them actually. But then you also were bouncing with happiness. Some were just plain disturbing. And some of them just purely goddamn awesome. Now that we’ve had a recap.Lets begin.Starting from the best to the least good.Season 4In my opinion, Season 3 and 4 featured major storylines which helped shaped the show towards what it is getting now. Dark, gritty and thrilling, this season featured some of the most well known arcs from the book like the purple wedding, tyrion’s trial and well Oberyn Martell. Do I need say more? Too bad he got a headache in the end.Season 3Oh boy. Who could ever forget The Red Wedding. That was some deep shit. Every Stark Fanboy after season 3 was like-The second most darkest, full of deep voiceovers and narrations, we have ourselves another silver season.Season 6One of the things I noticed is that after this season Game of Thrones emerged out in the bright spotlight. So many of my friends who didn’t know shit about the show were all now so called “Die Hard Fans” and shit.Another season full of awesomeness, intense moments and this xDI know you shouted too you dirty liar! xDSeason 1The one that started it all. I sometimes feel that this season is so underrated. Please don’t kill me.The very first episode got me hooked to the nerve. It was the first time I realised that Television could mean much more than just passing time in our lives.Game of Thrones is love. Game of thrones is life.Season 2I’m not much of a rememberer. Is that a word? But Blackwater was awesome. Stannis really was the mannis. Don’t forget to wish him a happy father’s day!Aand Here we go.Season 5It went off to a really slow start.I agree. But it had its moments. Especially Hardhome. You don’t even have to be a fan to admit that it was the key of awesome. And there was a bunch of heavy stuff. But it was certainly a good season as a whole.Well this was my side of the story. What’s yours?:)

Pycelle? Game of Thrones S1 question?

Now, since the TV series began, I've read the books just to see the differences. and boy, are there a lot.
one thing that still puzzles me today, after reading most of the books (haven't read DWD), is why did Pycelle suddenly jump up like a youth in the finale of season 1 of the TV show?
what are they playing at? was that supposed to be some plot device? please can someone explain
